After using a number of roofers, over the years, to try an plug a few holes on my roof, Mark and his team finally identified the problems and sorted them . The roof has remained watertight throughout the recent storms and given the quality of work I couldn't recommend Musselburgh Slaters highly enough. They also turned up exactly when the said they would!

Mark was reliable in providing a quotation, keeping us advised during lockdown, arriving on time with his excellent team in the quality of their work. His team was even proactive in replacing additional tiles and doing more work than originally spotted when they were on the roof - without an additional charge. We really appreciated his proactive and frank approach to what needed to be done, and the quality of work. Highly recommended; we would have no hesitation in hiring again.

Mark arrived for the survey on time and emailed my quote that night. Work was completed on time and to a high standard. His team kept me updated on the progress at the end of each night. They left the work area spotless at the end of the job. I had all of the wooden sofits replaced with maintenance free upvc. The cost was slightly over budget but that was down to unforseen problems caused by my extension. I would highly recommend Mark and his team.

Musselburgh Slaters had fixed my leaking roof, chimney and removed the skylight. They did the repair promptly and sent pictures of the repairs. The team were friendly, and very professional. They not only fixed whenever needed to be fixed but also cleaned up the gutters! Mark answered all my questions and queries. I would definitely used Musselburgh Slaters in the future and will recommend to anyone.

All works were completed in a timely fashion, and the quote completed as agreed.

Prompt attendance and prompt quote from Mark for extensive repairs/replacement and overhaul to slate roof + several other items. Although not the cheapest, I was happy with his approach to the work required and he kept to the dates originally set. The team doing the work was led by Mitch, who was very good at explaining what he was going to be doing and showing photos throughout of 'before and after' work done. I feel that the work was done to a high standard and that Mitch had the experience and ability to deal with everything that was required. So, a happy customer who would happily have 'Musselburgh Slaters' back again (although hopefully they will not be needed for a while!).

Musselburgh Slaters responded immediately by phone and booked in a roof repair to slates and ridge tiles for me after a big storm, despite being very busy at the time. They turn up when they say they will and communicate really well by phone / email /social media. They did the repair properly and sent pictures of the repairs and have been back twice to check them, which is much appreciated. I would recommend Mark’s firm, good work and good customer service.

Musselburgh Slaters replaced 2 Velux type windows for me, Mark organised For Gary (a joiner) to come which saved me looking for my own joiner. They arrived when they said they would and had the job done in half a day. They cleared up after themselves and we are very pleased with the finished job. Thanks

We lost part of our roof edging in recent storms and were at risk of the damage increasing quickly.

This is my first experience with Musselburgh Slaters and the guys were great! I explained the problem, they said they’d been round to see the work the following morning (which they did). They explained what would be needed, gave me a free quote and got on with doing the work there and then.

This is the second time I have used this company. On this occasion it was a leak in a flat roof. From the time that they were first contacted Mark came on time, produced an estimate promtly and came to carry out the work at the agreed time. The work that was required was less than I anticipated and I was given an honest appraisal of the problem. It was then carried out promptly and as far as I can tell efficiently. The problem with my leak has certainly gone. Comparing the price quoted for the job against similar work that had been done for neighbours was probably a bit more expensive, however if this is what reliability, courtesy and service costs I am happy. Minor damage to other parts of the roof were pointed out and repaired at no extra cost. My experience in having this work carried by a firm that I first found on Trusted Trader has been very positive and I would not hesitate to contact them in future or to recommend them.
