Business Information
First established 38 years ago, we are a local, family owned and ran company. We carry out landscaping projects both large and small for residential clients throughout the Lothians. We undertake a variety of gardens from initial design through the whole installation process to completion. We are TREX COMPOSITE DECKING PRO INSTALLERS - see Trex.com - and fit and supply both both timber and TREX composite decks, driveways, patios, walls, turfing and artificial grass installation, fencing, gravel and all forms of soft planting.
We also maintain and manage residential and private estates. We own all of our machinery ranging from pedestrian to ride-on mowers with collection, out front ride-on mowers and tractors with mounted mowers.
We currently own two Kubota 61" out front mowers, a John Deere 62" out front mower, a Kubota 60" with flail mower, two Kubota 48" mowers with collection. We also own a Kubota tractor with 12' Trimax mower attached. All mowers are operated by trained staff giving the best, professional finish.
Our eldest son Lewis joined the company in 2016 and has excelled. His younger brother Ben joined in 2019 and they will form the future of the company. Initially called Philip Mitchell Landscaping, to reflect the input and the future ownership, in 2020 we decided to change the company name. Therefore as of February 2020 the trading name of the company was changed to Mitchell Landscaping and Ground Care Limited.

We have maintained the grounds of Gosford House for 30 years. We use several different machines for the different lawns throughout the estate.
Client wanted to changed a large 150 square metre patio to a more modern composite decked terrace. With additional planters, artificial grassed utility area and gravel grids.
Client asked that their mixed hedging be removed and replaced with a low maintenance fence. A metal scroll gate was added at the entrance path. All timber was treated.

My garden fence was destroyed in a recent storm and needed full replacement. Although the company was extremely busy my work was done in good time and very efficiently. The landscaping team were very tidy and cleared the site at the end of the job. Phil Mitchell went above and beyond to help and kept me aware of any problems arising on the job. Garden fence needed to be renewed. Phil and his team removed the old fence and erected the new one in an amazingly short time. The finished product is of the highest standard, and they tidied up everything as the job progressed. They were exceptionally pleasant and courteous throughout, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. So pleased Phil was able to do this work for us.

We had a back garden fence replaced and trellis work completed. Phil and his son completed the work quickly and to a high standard. The area was cleaned and all debris taken away. The work undertaken was a new fence for front garden.
Phil and his two boys did a first class job. They arrived in time and were very courteous and professional throughout the job.
They cleaned up as they went along and all rubbish taken away.

We have used Phil before on several occasions and had no worries about having him refurbish an area of the garden into composite decking. His suggestions about materials and layout was spot on.
The area was cleared in a tidy and speedy manner by Phil, Lewis and Ben and completely rejuvenated with beautiful decking.
