George Herkes Joiners and Builders have been in business since 1989 & since then we have strived to delivery a first class service to our customers regardless if it a full loft conversion or hanging one internal door every customer is treated the same. We carry out all aspects of joinery work from loft & garage conversions, timber kit extensions to kitchen fitting, doors supplied & fitted internal & external, also decking, flooring, skirtings & facings to general repairs. All aspects of the Joinery trade internal or external are all carried out to a first class high standard. Estimates & advice are free.

Very efficient service from first contact by email to completeing the hanging of 2 glazed internal doors and fitting of small door bar.
George was friendly and apart from a short break for lunch,worked hard along with his son/apprentice who also swept up during and after the job was done. Will definitely contact them again if needing any other work done and will also recommend to family and friends.

Professional, with excellent communication and detailed quote, clearly knowledgeable through experience. High quality material used to design specification, excellent finish, house left clean and tidy, trusted to leave a key with to complete finishing touches on second day. Highly recommended.

Replaced kitchen work surfaces (solid wood surface was what we fitted, which was a bigger job than anticipated). We were very pleased indeed with the finished result.
I was very pleased with all the work carried out. He was easy to deal with and flexible. He popped back one night to fix a small problem (not his making!).
We have booked him to come back soon to do some more work for us.

Fit kitchen worktop, hob and built in cooker and refurbish large picture window in living room.

I have used George over a number of years for jobs ranging from bathroom repairs and minor joinery to a small attic conversion. Each job has been very well executed and I am very pleased with the service.

George has done quite a lot of work for over the last few years ie fitting window and cupboard and various smaller jobs. The work has always been completed promptly and to a high standard.

Installing shelving, replacing doors, installing curtain poles, vent covers, bannister.
George has done quite a bit of work over the last year. Laid a wooden floor, replaced floorboards, made a bath panel, installed four internal doors, installed new skirtings and archways.

Remove old kitchen including wall tiles then fit new kitchen, including all new units. Re-position appliances, replace gas with induction hob. Included sorting all plumbing, electrical and plastering work carried out by sub-contractors organised by George.
We have used George for all our joinery work for over 15 years. He is very experienced, happy to help and regularly works late to finish a job, and he sometimes suggests wee extra things to help improve the look of an area. Always helpful, trustworthy and reasonable value.
