George Herkes Joiners and Builders have been in business since 1989 & since then we have strived to delivery a first class service to our customers regardless if it a full loft conversion or hanging one internal door every customer is treated the same. We carry out all aspects of joinery work from loft & garage conversions, timber kit extensions to kitchen fitting, doors supplied & fitted internal & external, also decking, flooring, skirtings & facings to general repairs. All aspects of the Joinery trade internal or external are all carried out to a first class high standard. Estimates & advice are free.

We had a full kitchen refurbishment done, from start to finish their workmanship was excellent and they have delivered a very high quality fit. Honest, hard working and reliable father and son team who are very highly skilled in all elements of their work.

I got some shelving put in my hallway. I am very happy with the quality of the work and felt the price was very reasonable.
The company is very professional and reliable and the guys are helpful as well as bring clean and tidy workers.

He was very helpful in the moving of a kitchen, reconfiguring existing cabinets and modifying. He was able to bring in additional trades to complete the job. He was able to change plans when the job required it especially working in an old property that required constant fixes and even fixed bodged jobs from previous contractors.

Great job done by George and son. My ideas for a fitted wardrobe started out on the back of envelope but George interpreted them perfectly and found ideal solutions for the awkward bits. I am more than delighted with the finished result – two gold stars for the two Georges.

We had 3 new internal doors fitted by George and his son. Very pleased with the work and our new doors are fab. George is a very nice person to deal with and is hard working and reliable. Would definitely recommend him.

Wardrobe extension with new doors,extra rail and shelves. George done a brilliant job fitting the new extension to the existing fitted wardrobe now looks as one continuous wardrobe. Built to our requirements,not easy task as we have limited space. George fitted us in with other jobs so we were done very quickly. Very happy with the work done. Thank you and we would use again.

Boxing in of hot water down pipes for new gas central heating system and new wooden slatted shelves made and fitted into former hot water tank cupboard.
Job well executed with good finish to walls ready for painting. Shelves fit perfectly and make good storage for what was formerly a wasted space. Would defintely use this joiner again and/or recommend to anyone who asks.

George restored a room which had been badly flood-damaged. This involved laying down a new concrete base, DPC and wooden floor, stripping back and replacing the plasterboard on the walls and associated works. He also installed the laminate flooring in a large kitchen/dining area.
He provided an excellent professional service, and I would have no hesitation in using him again or recommending him.

Dealing with roof leak, involving replacement of timber and felt, plus arranging other trades - roofer and plasterer. All this was done promptly, in particular tackling the initial leak. A very tidy job.
