East Coast Carpets

My wife called them but they said they would have to call her back. They DID. They made arrangements to send an assessor out. He turned up when they said he would. They gave us a date and time for installation. A three man crew turned up when we were told they would. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Some service! I would definitely recommend.

I ordered a stair carpet from East Coast Carpets, initially salesman Steven, very helpful. We were quoted for the new carpet, underlay and 3 threshold bars. We were told they didnt quote separately for the items, and as we wanted these items, we went ahead and arranged a fitting date. We also arranged for the old carpet to be removed and disposed of at an extra cost. The date arrived, a carpet fitter attended, given covid status, had no face covering, no plastic overshoes and no gloves on. The job was not completed on the agreed date as carpet fitter didn't have the right tools to finish the job. First failure. Second time they came back There was 3 of them in my house, no face covering, no plastic overshoes or gloves. They fitted a new carpet over old underlay,leaving the old carpet lying in my hall, but, surprisingly took the new underlay away. On contacting the shop, and speaking to Steven, I was met by exscuse after exscuse, in fact his after care attitude was uncaring and couldn't care less. The third time they came to my house after several phone calls, a visit to the carpet shop and 3 days later, the carpet was fitted and all with new underlay. I still do not have the threshhold bars, which I paid for and No apology for the poor service or inconvenience. NOT TO BE TRUSTED TRADERS.

I had carpets fitted in my living room, bedroom and hall. Carpets are lovely and the initial customer service was good however the way my flat was left was not okay. Nails just left lying about. The cupboards in the hall where forgotten (simple mistake and was corrected) the cupboards that where done the carpet fitters had left a lot of glue sprayed up my freshly painted walls and skirtings, when asked to fix it they said they didn’t have the stuff in the van but would pop back at the end of the day - never did. There was a large lump in the carpet and when pulled back found 2 bits of wood with nails sticking out. Wouldn’t use again simply as the carpet fitters just didn’t take care/pride in the finished product.
