R & G Brock All Trades Limited

I contracted R & G Brock All Trades to carry out the structural alteration and full renovation of a small mews house, including roof works, enlargement of roof windows, installation of a new staircase, rewiring, plumbing, plastering, reconstruction of degraded floors, decorating, replacement of the front door and window (including swapping their positions), and complete internal refurbishment.

Gavin was honestly the most down-to-earth, easy-going, friendly and helpful contractor I’ve ever worked with — and I’ve worked with many. From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. Even once he’d been paid, he went above and beyond to resolve an issue that wasn’t even strictly his responsibility. The issue had been caused by another contractor I had organised separately (not part of Gavin’s team), who refused to help once they’d been paid. Gavin, however, spent time discussing it, working out a plan, and fixing it — at no extra charge.

His team were fantastic too: friendly, genuine, and clearly got on well with each other. The atmosphere on site was always positive, and I genuinely looked forward to checking in, seeing progress, and discussing next steps.

Gavin’s prices were very reasonable and competitive, and if any pricing queries came up, he was always open to discussion and finding a mutually fair solution. On a large project, some disputes are inevitable, but he approached every issue calmly and constructively, and I was always happy with the outcome. It was clear he genuinely wanted me to be satisfied, and he did everything he could to make sure of it.

Communication was excellent throughout — I could call him at any time to discuss concerns, and he was always responsive and proactive in resolving them.

I have very high standards and can be quite a demanding client, but I always felt comfortable pointing things out, and Gavin took everything on board without defensiveness. Any issues were dealt with during snagging in a fair and professional way.

Overall, the quality of the work is excellent and I’m extremely happy with the result. Gavin is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, fair, and genuinely good contractor.

They carried out a complete renovation of our 1970s house which improved
the thermal insulation by installing floor, wall and loft insulation. They
installed a new kitchen, bathroom and WC; did a complete electrical
re-wire; replaced many of the windows; and carried out a complete
decoration of the inside of the house.

The guys covered everything up with plastic covers.
When they were finished they opened the door to let me see it ( i was dreading the mess) but I was amazed at how clean everything was.
They had wiped everything over and it was lovely and clean and the guys were really helpful and friendly.

The team from R&G Brock have been at my property, finished on Friday, ripping out old and installing 2 new bathrooms and installing a new window and pre work and plastering 3 bathrooms, kitchen and utility room, not forgetting the downstairs loo. All work was done to a very high standard with a first class service and cost. At the end of each day they vacuumed and cleaned up after themselves. The whole team R&G Brock All Trades were friendly, offered advice, turned up on time with fantastic banter. Team Brock all the way for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I was kept well informed throughout the process from quote to completion. The workers were friendly & polite and carried out a 1st class job of replacing rough casting on my conservatory. They also left the area very tidy. I would definitely use this company again.

Gavin and his team (Matt) were unbelievably attentive. Did a great job helping me move a drain within a pretty tight budget and timeline. This was a large and difficult project which required a lot of precision and attention to detail. The workers were expertly managed and worked in a small area without causing any concerns. They left me with services every evening even when this cause extra work.
