Who we are
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

Ogilvie Hayes have done work in our and our neighbour’s garden on two occasions. This involved reducing and thinning tree canopies and cutting back trees and shrubs. Nico and Ailidh are friendly, approachable and reliable and communication and estimating done prior to the work was excellent. The work on the day was carried out very efficiently and tidily with all debris removed. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will look to using them again in future.

I had a very large tree removed from garden and 2 extremely large overgrown hedges reduced by approximately 4feet Nicho and team arrived promptly working throughout the day a great team when work completed they removed all garden debris hardly a spec of sawdust to be found , extremely pleasant team very knowledgeable giving excellent advice about garden and tree management would definitely recommend them

Ailidh and Nico did a great job of cutting back overgrown vegetation in our garden. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We had Ogilvie & Hayes come to trim back the conifers in our garden. We were very impressed by the efficiency , professionalism and friendliness of both Ailidhi and Nico from the first meeting to the completion of the work. They communicated and gave us sound advice throughout and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. We have in fact arranged for them to come to us on an annual basis.

I’ve used Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden twice, originally a few years ago to remove a very large conifer and a small tree plus trim several other trees. Last year was a trimming and pruning job. I already have them booked in to return later this year. They are a joy to deal with, so friendly, reliable and very knowledgeable. I don’t hesitate to recommend them.

We had a tree which had to be taken out of the garden, and the garden was badly needing tidied up as well so I called Ogilvie Hayes for help with this and it was no problem to them and quality of work and the friendliness was really great so I had them back for a second time so I would not hesitate to call them back in the future.

We wanted some large garden trees removed and a tidy up of the remaining trees. The team were great, very friendly and helpful, listening to what we wanted to achieve in our garden and offering advice. We will definitely use them again when our trees need trimmed.

Ogilvie Hayes are just the best. Ailidh and Nico are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and get the job done without any fuss. We had trees thinned, pruned and taken down. The advice given and work done were both first class. I have no hesitation at all in highly recommending Ogilvie Hayes.

I have used Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services for the past 2 years and have them booked in for this year too. They are the most professional and friendly company. The communication is brilliant from start to finish. The standard of work is also excellent, putting cones out round their vehicles, talking to neighbours, listening to exactly what you want and they tidy every last leaf before they go. My late dad used to be so fussy about the front hedge cutting and Ogilvie Hayes cut the hedge to the same high standard. They also really value their customers and even send a Christmas card. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them – Alison

Did an excellent job tidying up our pleached hornbeam trees & we intend to book them annually for regular maintenance of all the trees in our garden.
