Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

I had some trees pruned and some major work done on one of them.
I have used this company for similar previous work and again I was more than happy with their work. All the workers and especially Nico were very personable and helpful. Nico was very helpful with being able to inform me about when particular trees should be cut back in order to promote tree health.
They were all very respectful and were diligent with regard to clearing up all remnants of their work.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other potential users.

Excellent service from Ogilvie Hayes, I would definately recommend them. They were extremely knowledgeable about all of the trees we have in our garden and took the time to explain best care practices. They were organised, friendly and tidy when they came to do the work in our garden. Thank you!

Nico, Graham and Calum did a fantastic job, including pruning and shaping several trees and reducing the height of a beech hedge. Everything was very well explained before starting and done exactly as I wished. Neighbours were impressed by their courteous behaviour. The garden was left in an immaculate condition.

They removed a very bulky Leylandii hedge which had grown too large. They removed the hedge for recycling. Communications were clear and handled well. The work was done well on the day by a very pleasant team.

We were fortunate to find this friendly, young team. They have come twice now and shaped bushes and trimmed trees, as well as giving their expert advice. We will be using Ogilvie Hayes again this autumn and our advice is to book early!

We have used Ogilvie Hayes on two separate occasions, one to prune our acer tree in our back garden and the other to reduce the height of a leylandii hedge. On both occasions they arrived punctually when they said they would and carried out the works very professionally and to our satisfaction within the agreed timescale. They also removed all the cuttings by shredding them on site and left the site neat and tidy. We would have no hesitation in recommending them for any type of tree or hedge work. Their knowledge of trees is second to none and their advice was spot on.

Nico, Ailidh and team have customer care down to a fine art from beginning to end. Great communications with customer and also with neighbours that may be effected by tree work. Nico has a great eye for tree shape and knowledge of different tree issues. Team - friendly and professional, worked well together, fast and efficient without rushing the customer.

2 large fern trees removed from front garden very quickly and cleared up afterwards. Had this company return and remove a hedge and small tree, excellent service. From start to finish this company has been excellent. Prompt reply, excellent customer service and value for money. A lot of companies could learn a great deal from this company.

Ailidh and Nico have looked after our silver birch for a number of years. Unfortunately the tree got so big that we had to contact them for the removal of the canopy. They gave us lots of advice as to our options. And we are now moving forward with a new look for our top corner!
