Who we are
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

Lovely people doing an excellent job: we had the team out to cut back and tidy a large conifer hedge, they were quick, tidy and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend.

Nico, Ailidh and team first helped us a couple of years ago when we moved into our new home and needed five overgrown conifers removed.
It was a big job with the trees originally having been planted near the house.
The work was carried out tidily and effectively with all waste removed and a handy store of (drying) firewood left behind.
Since then we've had the team back to trim other trees, always done professionally and with a smile. Our neighbours have commented favourably on the shape of the trees after the trim!
Will use again and would thoroughly recommend.

Ailidh, Nico and Graham have carried out work in the garden on two occasions - pruning and shaping mature bushes and a mature twisted hazel, and removing mature conifers and old tree stumps. The work was carried out to a high standard, with care and respect evident in all aspects of their work. They were generous in sharing their knowledge and advice about various aspects of the garden. It was a pleasure to meet the team and I would not hesitate to recommend their work.

We had work done recently on a very large mature ash tree in our garden.
Nico, Ailidh and the team arrived on time and worked tirelessly all day, leaving the tree in much better condition than when they started. All of their communications and advice have been helpful and timely, and they were a pleasure to have with us for the day. They tidied up after themselves and left our garden in great shape. The price for the job, particularly with four people on site, seemed very fair and reasonable.
I've no hesitation in recommending them, and we will definitely be using them again for future tree works in our garden.

Using Ogilvie Hayes for the first time to remove, cut back and shape a number of trees in our garden which had gotten out of hand. Thanks to Aildih, Nico and the team who were all very professional and all worked with a smile in their face, from 7.30 sharp in the morning to dusk. A very well equipped and qualified team wh all knew what they were doing and kept us informed throughout the day of progress and tips for future maintenance. Their work was to a high standard.

Ailidh, Nico and the team were beyond brilliant they removed a vast amount of boundary ivy for us and lifted the crown and reduced the height of a wayward Juniper tree. The work was hard but they did it on time and with a smile and were generous enough to give us no end of tips to help with our garden maintenance. The garden was left spotless afterwards which felt like a miracle. Will definitely be using again.

Nico, Ailidh and Graham were fantastic from the get go. We have used their expertise in the past and yesterday did not disappoint again! Always very punctual and on time and took away 3 fairly large shrubs and tided up the bushes/ trees and shrubs in my over grown garden. Garden is looking fantastic! I contacted Ogilvie Hayes to have an ash tree felled. From the initial response to post-work follow-up, they were prompt, friendly and professional. The team went the extra mile to find a solution to removing the tree (without carrying through the house) and left no trace of their work. Extremely friendly and responsive; I would highly recommend for all garden work.

I was extremely happy with the work Nico, Ailidh and Graham did. It was on a mature greengage tree that had gotten quite wild. They did a fantastic job and clearly really know their stuff. Communication before hand was excellent and they were all very freindly and professional. The work was all explained to me before hand and they checked in to see if I was happy with how it was going and then everything was cleared away.
I will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend them!

I had a very overgrown hedge which was throwing shade over my raised beds and I needed it cut back. Ogilvie Hayes were great from first contact to finished job. Communication with Ailidh was excellent through emails and phone calls. When they arrived to do the work they got started quickly and, on completion, all cuttings were removed. Everyone involved was friendly and easy to talk to. I am delighted with the work done and will definitely be using them again.

Nico, Ailidh and Graham worked on two mature trees that were misshapen and overgrown in our garden and did a fantastic job. They were friendly, professional and passionate about this. It was a pleasure to have them at our home and they even left the garden more tidy than when they arrived! I'd gladly recommend them to anyone looking for work on trees or gardens and we will definitely be asking them back when we next need some work.
