Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

Nico and Ailidh are a great team. They have done an amazing job in reducing the height of trees that run along the side of my garden. I will highly recommend them to anyone needing their services. Most importantly you wouldn't know they had been as they cleared everything away. Thank you again you have done an excellent job.

Crown reduction of large ash tree expertly carried out by this super team from initial good communication to end results. NIco's knowledge of trees and skill with them is worthy of note. All issues with parking, neighbours, driveway, fences etc dealt with efficiently. Thankyou. Job well done and I would use them again.

Ailidh and Nico very kindly fitted me in at short notice for some excellent tree reduction and shrub removal. They are both lovely and I am thrilled with the difference it has made to the amount of overall light in my back garden. I would happily recommend them.

Excellent service. We had a few unwanted trees and shrubs dominating our back garden and decided to have them removed. Nico gave us excellent advice and suggested some helpful options we had not prevously considered. A very smooth process right through from initial quote to completed project. We would absolutely use their services again in the future.

Have used Ogilvie Hayes to prune and tidy my fruit trees and also my large conifers etc over the past couple of years . They make an excellent job , are very reliable, turning up when expected and leaving everything tidy. Will be using them again this year.

What a Fabulous Team! Nico and Ailidh were so professional in every aspect. They arrived just after 7am and worked so hard all day until the job was completed. We really liked the way they priced every area and checked as they went along. They cut down some very high trees, large hedges and bushes. At each stage they checked the heights etc so we were really happy with the end result! They tidied everything and took away all the debris and left the garden and house perfect. Their staff were excellent and they worked perfectly as a Team! I have already recommended them to friends and neighbours. 10 out of 10!

Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services have done an absolutely brilliant job at looking after the trees in our garden. The quality of their work was exceptional - everything that we could possibly have expected and hoped for. The care and professionalism with which they carried out their work was wonderful, and the friendliness and kindness with which they worked was a great gift.

We moved in to our present home quite recently where the rear garden was somewhat overgrown. The Ogilvie Hayes team made short work of it for us for a fair price. All debris cleared up and taken away. A friendly and polite outfit with lots of advice to hand. I rate them very highly.

Large tree and smaller tree pruning and shaping, including securing required permissions; extensive hedges pruned and shaped. Absolutely excellent experience; totally reliable, lovely people to deal with, very reasonable pricing and great eye for shaping. Would (and do) use every time and highly recommend.

Excellent work. Very impressed - Nico clearly displayed a real knowledge and love of trees and did a quality job, arrived on time, and cleared up so no trace had been there, especially appreciated that at the job required them to access our treevia a neighbour’s garden. Definitely recommend.

I used this company in August 2022 & September 2023 to tidy up my garden by pruning or cutting back all trees,bushes and other plants as required. The result gave my garden a fine manicured look.
An estimate was agreed after helpful advice was freely given as to what needed to be done at that time and on a future occasion. Arriving on time on the day the work was carried out in a professional manner. All the cuttings were removed leaving a neat and tidy garden.
If asked I would recommend this company as I have found them to be EXCELLENT.
