Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

Lovely people. highly courteous and professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody.

Nico & Ailidh carried out some work to tidy up and separate several shrubs in my back garden. Communication was excellent from start to finish and they were personable and professional when carrying out the work. They worked efficiently and tidied up well after themselves. I would definitely use their services again, and have already recommended them to a neighbour!

What a team:-) I cannot recommend Nico and Ailidh highly enough. 1st class service throughout, from initial visit to quote for the job, excellent communication before, during and afterwards and the massive clear up job at the end too.
Since working in our garden, I was asked by our resident's association for Nico and Ailidh's details as they were impressed with what they saw.
Thanks to them both, we now have a much more manageable garden without out of control conifers or palm trees.

Large garden hedge cut and shaped with advice on how to look after the hedge.

Had 2 fairly large trees trimmed down and tidied up - which was long overdue. They were very professional and well organised in there knowledge and work experience in their tree work - that's for sure. It was great to watch them work as a team and completely tidy up and take the cut downs away. It was through good friends of ours that recommended them and I'm so glad we used them as well. I'll definitely use them again for any future gardening services. 10/10.

Alidh and Nico trimmed and shaped a very large, mature magnolia in our garden. They were efficient in their work and communication, consulting us as well as sharing their own considerable knowledge and experience. Actually a pleasure to have working at our home.

I have used Nico and team services on 2 occasions. The most recent was cutting and reforming hedges that had been neglected since September 2023 and as such were heavily overgrown.
The team arrived with a variety of cutting tools and mobile shredder towed by their truck. The work was completed over approximately 2 1/2 hours and all debris removed.
The appearance of the cut hedges and results of the final clear-up were commendable. Nico has a friendly and approachable manner and also is a good listener.

Nico and Ailidh worked on three large trees for us, lifting and tidying two of them and improving the health of the third. The experience has been fantastic from start to finish, with good friendly communication and professionalism throughout. We really value their knowledge about tree health and the advice they have given us.

Ailidh and Nico have carried out work on a large oak tree in our garden, taking out dead wood and making sure a heavy branch is unlikely to fall while taking care not to damage the tree. They tidy up carefully and remove all the wood and clippings. They are highly professional and very friendly and we would recommend them and certainly call on them again when needed.
