MWJ Services offer a complete range of electrical services to both commercial and domestic customers, we are a small and friendly team and we welcome any jobs no matter how big or small.
We are SELECT, Scottish Building Standards and Edinburgh Trusted Trader Contractors.

Had multiple issues due to incorrect electricity meter exchange and was getting nowhere with the responsible company, Scottish Power. Mark was a wealth of knowledge, and quickly put my mind at ease once he had chance to investigate what was causing issue. 2 SP engineers had no idea what problem was. If Mark had not took the time to properly investigate errors made by this company, I would likely have been without electricity for more than the two days already suffered without. Excellent job. Cannot recommend enough.

Mark and his team have rewired my 70-year-old lighting circuits, updated and rewired my complex and slightly hazardous fuse box and carried out countless other jobs for me. Mark has consistently approached each job with professionalism, humour, skill and care. Impressed with the service — had outdoor safety lights fitted and our fuse board upgraded. The electrician was professional, reliable, and easy to deal with. Communication was excellent from start to finish and the work was great value for money. Highly recommend!

Mark did an excellent job rewiring my property. Managed to fit me in at very late notice despite having a full calendar, and even worked long hours over the weekend to get the job finished ahead of schedule!
Quality of workmanship is outstanding. You can tell he geeks out on what he does and knows everything there is to know about his profession.
Best part was the finish - Very very tidy, was absolutely no damage to walls or ceiling, everything was patched very cleanly as if he'd barely even been there. Will absolutely be a return customer for any electrical work.

Got a same day response to my online enquiry, with offer to complete the job the same or next day. Estimate given was the price paid. Tradesman phoned with 15 minute arrival time and unprompted put on his own over-shoes (brilliant!) Got a helpful explanation for what was needed and both electrical jobs were resolved no problem, as well as hugely welcomed fix to a plumbing issue of my own making... So kind. Very grateful, thank you again.

Mark and team did full rewire of our 1960s house. Was an excellent communicator throughout whole process. Provided better value vs competitors. The job itself was flawless, no need for a plasterer. They worked very efficiently. Left the house in superb condition. Will be using again for future jobs.

Excellent work and did not try to fleece us by doing work that was unnecessary or frivolous. All work was done to a very high standard and we were kept abreast of all requirements including the fittin of new interlinked smoke alarms.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the future. Finding this company with Edinburgh Trusted Trader was a godsend. Other companies were quoting about twice the price or telling us we would need to destroy out walls with ragging that was not needed! 5*****

I needed an electrician to come round and fix a faulty shower and extractor fan setup that was installed previously by a plumber when doing a bathroom refit. He came in and got straight to flat finding identifying a few different ways to resolve the problems explaining the merits of each and the variation in cost. He was able to limit the cost through simplifying the original installation utilising existing equipment and fixed the dodgy wiring to get everything up and running again.
I don’t do reviews often but was really impressed with speed and clarity on problem and solution that made me feel at ease that I was getting the right service.
I’ll be using them in the future and recommend to anyone needing a electrician.

My family and I have used MWJ services for garage conversions and other building works over the last few years. Mark operates very professionally and does a a fantastic job; leaving nothing to chance Mark is very thorough in both planning and execution.

Used MWJ for running a cable from the house to the garage and refitting the electrics in the garage.
Gave advice on what we needed, esp when we revealed what we would be putting out there and the work was carried out to a very high standard. Covid protection used throughout the job.
We have other jobs needing to be done when workmen are allowed in the house so we will use them again.

Couple of jobs done with Mark - stairwell lights and starters replaced, and an emergency call out which led to a bathroom fan needing replaced. Very friendly and quick service with jobs well explained at a good cost. I’ll definitely be using Mark and MWJ again. Thank you!
