In October 2012 GW & JS Roofing LLP was established with partners Guy Wright (Guy Wright Ltd ) & Jason Staines (JAS Roofing Specialist Ltd), We’re delighted to say that things have gone from strength to strength and our new company was incorporated on 13th February 2014 and trading commenced from 1st July 2014.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and acquaint you more fully with our services and facilities. Throughout our careers we have learnt that services and quality is every bit as important as price.
We appreciate our customers and believe we are big enough to matter and small enough to care. Our personal aims are to share our experiences over the past 30 years with valued customers and ensure our work is to 100% quality standards carried out by fully qualified tradesmen.

Jason and his team were excellent from start to finish. The communication was clear and quick with regards to any query I had throughout the job and even though some companies may have deemed my job to be too small (changing our garage roof and guttering work) the guys took obvious pride in their work and were efficient, thorough and cleaned up after they had finished too. I would recommend them and use them again.

This was a small repair to a roof area of my rental flat. Some tiles had moved/broken and needed to be replaced. The job was done quickly and without fuss for a good price. This is the second job they have done for me and each time has been a very good experience. I would recommend without hesitation.

Friendly, professional and easy to use service from an excellent company. Staff are always very helpful, taking the time to explain anything I don't understand.
A reasonably-priced quote was sent very quickly with full photo documentation on what needed repaired and why. Because I had asked several different companies for quotes, it was very reassuring to know that GW & JS Construction are on the ball with providing accurate photos and quotes as soon as they can.
I'm very happy with their service, and I'll be using them again in the future.

I’ve used roofers for years but have finally found the best firm in Edinburgh. The service from them was excellent, having sorted all of the agreed damage plus a little more on closer inspection. Alan and Frank were professional and friendly and Jason followed up brilliantly to make sure the customer was happy. What more could you want?

From first contact to arranging a visit to the house to gauge the scale of the work, issuing a quote and executing the job, the whole experience has been smooth, fast and excellent. The team arrived spot on time, did a thorough and professional job and I will without doubt call on their services again in the future, very happy with the performance and value for money.

Contacted GW & JS Roofing and they came to see the job required within a few days. And then we’re able to completed the job a few weeks later, even though it was a small job for them. The two men who did the work were excellent, on time, did the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend.

Jason came round to inspect the issue a day or two after I called and then gave a quote for the works the following day. He let me know the lead time for the job which was also pretty much bang-on to the day work started.
Alan and Frank carried out the repairs and took multiple photos showing the before/during and after stages of the repair to indicate exactly what work had been carried out.
Would definitely recommend their services and I'll be giving them a call in the future should the need arise!

I'm very happy to recommend Jason and his team. They quickly identified faults with the chimney stack and rear guttering, both were leaking badly.Through photographs I could see exactly what needed done, this was discussed clearly with me and backed up by detailed estimated e mails.
The work was carried out as soon as possible. At all times my e mail was answered promptly. I never had to worry about anything.
Once finished the steps and patio were swept clear of all debris created and I was shown what had been done.
This was especially important as the house is owned by my elderly Mum who doesn't cope with repairs or tradesmen.

I had used this trader before , and called to get an estimate for roof work.
The proprietor came when agreed to prepare an estimate , submitted an estimate promptly (at a reasonable cost) , and had the work carried out efficiently at the agreed time.
I plan to use again!

External stonework at my property in the New Town, which required renovation, was the work of craftsmen. I am delighted with the results which has received many compliments.

I have appointed GW & JS for a number of small roofing projects in recent years, and indeed previously appointed Jason's prior company to many roofing projects for many years before.
Both Jason and Guy are extremely personable individuals, with a wealth of knowledge and experience between them. I have always found them to be Client-focused and diligent: my Client feedback has without exception been more than positive, and every project that has been undertaken by them has been completed to a very high standard, and within budget. They are a company who endeavour to maintain their excellent, long held reputation, and are happy to go "above and beyond", in order to satisfy their Clients.
GW & JS are the only Company who I now consider to undertake roofing projects for my Clients, and I highly recommend them.

They are a friendly yet professional organisation, who carried out the work required to a incredibly high standard. 5 stars for everything - a great company to deal with.

Repair of considerable wear and tear on our Edwardian stone built house built in 1905.
The company was very professional in its approach.
We were provided with numerous photographs of work needed and also again when work completed.
The team carrying out required repairs were excellent, on time, friendly and professional and anything that perhaps requiring extra work, in our case the
cupola was fully discussed before being undertaken.
We were also impressed by the trouble Jason took in keeping us fully up to date with progress and timing of when the team would arrive.

Communication throughout the project was exemplary as was time keeping. The actual work was carried out by a professional and courteous team who completed the task quickly and tidily. Although this was not a large project the high level of service provided gives me the confidence to both consider this company for larger jobs and to recommend to others.

I phoned GW&JS Roofing after discovering some issues with my pantile roof. Jason from GW&JS came round quickly and went over the roof thoroughly. He took numerous photos and showed me the areas that required fixing - mainly cracked roof tiles. I decided to go ahead after receiving a very reasonable quote. Within days Jason was back round and all my roof tiles were fixed/replaced. Again, photos were provided (something I consider to be very important given I can't normally validate this sort of work myself). I highly recommend Jason and GW&JS. The quoted price was extremely good and very reasonable. The standard of work is second to none - the pre and post job photos were hugely helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to use Jason again.

The work was done to a high standard and at a very reasonable price. photographs were taken so that I could see exactly what they had done and what potentially could cause a problem in the future so that I could be aware. Very happy with the service.
