The directors of GW & JS Construction Ltd, have more than thirty years combined experience and expertise in the roofing & Building industry.
In October 2012 GW & JS Roofing LLP was established with partners Guy Wright (Guy Wright Ltd ) & Jason Staines (JAS Roofing Specialist Ltd), We’re delighted to say that things have gone from strength to strength and our new company was incorporated on 13th February 2014 and trading commenced from 1st July 2014.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and acquaint you more fully with our services and facilities. Throughout our careers we have learnt that services and quality is every bit as important as price.
We appreciate our customers and believe we are big enough to matter and small enough to care. Our personal aims are to share our experiences over the past 30 years with valued customers and ensure our work is to 100% quality standards carried out by fully qualified tradesmen.
Our service is comprehensive; be it a slate repair, choked outlet or small re-roofing contract to felted, slated/tiled roofs and maintenance work.

Absolutely delighted with the installation of a porch roof light to replace the faulty, leaking roof light installed by cowboy roofers last year. It was not a simple task, but every detail has been done meticulously and apart from looking good, it is completely watertight. Guy kept me informed at every stage ensuring that I was happy with his solution. He even did some additional work at no extra cost. The men turned up on time and site was left tidy. Many thanks, Guy, Alan & Frank for an excellent job. Highly reccomended.

Arrived first thing this morning to assess a damaged external pipe.......he was happy to send me photos of the damage and feedback to Edinburgh Council, as a shared repair was likely......although Jason hasn't had any paid work for this job, he kept me informed along the way and I found he was happy to go beyond his call of duty to help......I would be more than happy to use Jason for any future work that may be required. (Owner/Landlord)

The work was assessed and a quotation provided very promptly. The agreed commencement date was met and work progressed quickly. All the tradesmen were efficient, helpful and polite. When completed the site was left as found with no damage or debris of any kind.

He then e-mailed the quote (which was much more satisfactory than others) and gave me a choice of dates. The works were completed well within the timescale and to a very high standard. The workmen were very polite and efficient and tidy.
Overall, an excellent service and the customer service I received was second to none. Have recommended Jason and his firm to others.

Everyone at GWJS Roofing was extremely helpful. Delighted with the service and the quality of the work and would highly recommend. A relative (who is a Surveyor) was impressed with the attention to detail and appreciated being kept up-to-date with progress and technical details. The photos provided by GWJS were very helpful in this regard. I finally have a watertight roof after other contractors could not fix it. Everyone was punctual for all appointments which was much appreciated.

As a returning customer for the third time I am more than happy to extol the good work of the staff involved in fixing water ingress to my garage. The men went over and beyond in their approach to what turned out to be a challenging job for them to fix. I would also like to praise them for being so helpful and keeping me informed at all times. I would have no hesitation in using the firm again and recommend the firm wholeheartedly to anyone seeking quality workmanship.

After heavy rain I experienced water pouring through my roof to my ceiling. Jason attended and dealt swiftly with an immediate fix around my dormer where the problem was. The full repair was organised on a date of my preference with the cost estimate becoming the actual cost. Helpful approach throughout with full explanation at every stage. Safety also seemed important as were manners! Thank you. Pleasure to deal with.

Jason assessed an initial roof problem I had - he was honest to say that removing moss and cleaning the roof would solve the problem. He didn't charge for coming round and making that assessment, which I appreciated and I was impressed with.
When we had another problem with the roof, I remembered this gesture so I called Jason and the work his team did was excellent.
Alan and Frank did an excellent job replacing broken tiles and patching up the roof ridges. They were efficient, professional and very good to deal with. I'd definitely recommend GW&JS.

Non urgent roof slate & ridge tile repairs, but prompt inspection of work required with photographs showing work required included with detailed quote.
Work completed by 2 very pleasant workers with an obvious pride in their work. Gutters etc cleaned and site left clean and tidy.

Second time of using GW & JS Construction to repair leaks on slate roofs. Both times Jason was very quick to respond, explained the problems with supporting photos. The repairs were then carried out in a very speedy and effective manner. A profesional, friendly and trustworthy company.
