Contacted GR Window & Door specialists in January, received various catalogues to select door. On receipt of our order, an arrangement to take accurate measurements too place and within 2 days had a fitting date.
2 fitters arrived as promised within 2 hour window, and fitted door quickly and efficiently. The area was hoovered and left tidy. We had a slight snagging issue and within 24 hours, the fitters returned to resolve.
Delighted with service, regular communication from contact through to door fitting and would highly recommend. Would definitely use again.

We contacted GR Windows & Doors to get a quote to replace an old timber window with a new PVC sash and case, to match as closely as possible the rest of the windows in the house.

The estimator came during the time window he said he would, was quick and efficient at measuring and quoting and got back to us very quickly with the quotation. I feel he did rush the measurements (he must quote for loads of people who don’t go ahead), which resulted in the window being small for the space when fitted. Luckily it was within the margin of error and the guys could fit it, albeit with more expanding foam around it than they’d have ideally liked. However, you wouldn’t know this looking at the window once fitted.

Wes was helpful via email at confirming timeframes and letting us come to view the samples of windows in-person.

The fitting was a number of months after quotation, but this was clearly communicated and out of their hands due to covid/supply chains etc, so no issues. Another measurement to ensure accuracy before goods were ordered would have put our minds at ease more here.

The fitters arrived when they said they would, were very efficient and quick at replacing the old window, tidied up as best as they could and left the window surround in as good condition as they could (a little bit of decorating required, but this was expected).

All in all a very good experience with all parts of the service and a great window now in place at a fraction of the price of some quotes.

I chose GR Services after having sought quotes from several glaziers in the area including multiple Which? recommended glaziers with good reputations. GR services were last on the list from the perspective of professionalism and trustworthiness but the company did offer low prices. I went ahead and entered into an agreement for their services mainly because there was a long wait for the other glaziers to become available. I sorely regret not having simply waited longer for the other glaziers to become available.
GR Services' statements in their emails sounded promising. One such statement is "Our fitting team will Lay dust sheets, ensure area tidied after completion and windows/door are cleaned when job completed."
On the prescheduled fitting date, the GR Services two employees turned up to perform the job only to then realise the company had ordered the wrong glass. This led to a 15-day delay.
On the second visit, during the height of the pandemic, the two GR Services employees entered my property showing little regard for safety by not wearing masks nor offering to. They hurried to the window carrying glass panes, a replacement window handle, a mallet and a chisel then started hammering at the window with these tools. It was surprising how rushed they appeared to be in their work which left me nervous about their duty of care.
When they reported having completed the job, I discovered the room was scattered with dust and fragments. Large amounts of dust and residue covered the bed nearby and covered the floor below the window. Dust sheets were not used as had been promised in writing.
There were stretches of black oil smeared across the new glass panes with fingerprints showing, having been covered in the oil. This also covered the window frame and the area below the window. The source of the oil was the handle being replaced, but with no care taken. Fortunately, oil was not dropped to the carpet although a glass shard was later found to have been. The window was not cleaned after the job, as had been promised in writing. The complete opposite had been done.
The two employees pressed me to sign a piece of paper stating they had done their work then hurried off. Not long after, I discovered there was damage all across the window frame with beadings misaligned and indents on the frame.
To add to the unfolding nightmare of contracting GR Services, the quality of the glass was found to be a major concern. While attempting to resolve a complaint with the company, GR Services revealed the certifier of the glass was named Independent Glass Co. Search for information on the company Independent Glass Co and you'll see all of the customer reviews are highly critical.
I sorely regret going with GR Services. I wish I had been more patient and waited for one of the Which? recommended local glaziers to become available. Dealing with the complaints process against GR Services exhausted huge amounts of time. A nightmare I'll try hard to forget.

We had four UPVC windows replaced on the front of our property. From measuring through to fitting we received an excellent level of service and the new windows are high quality and look great. I would highly recommend GR Window & Door Specialists.

I am in a top floor tenement flat and my old wooden windows were very much in need of replacing. G R Window & Doors came out to measure up and they went on to supply and install 5 vertical sliding uPVC windows, the whole process was made very easy from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Well done lads, a fantastic job!

I had a Rockdoor Colonial front door supplied and fitted, whilst expensive the quality of the door is excellent.

Excellent service from GR Windows and Doors from start to finish. The installation team that completed the work were very efficient and tidied up when finished. My thanks also to the office team for there help and assistance throughout the whole process.

We used GR Windows to replace a garage window.  They certainly did not live up to our normal experience from other Trusted Trader members. The quote was competitive and the workers turned up on time, but the quality of work and the attitude to customer service left much to be desired.

The window was not properly fitted and leaked in two places; sealant was sloppily applied and missing in some places; the work area was left in a mess with shards of glass and debris from the old window left on the floor and on the ground outside; a light fitting was broken (and no mention made of this at the time); and there was no making good of chipping to the harling caused by the removal of the old window frame.  The company at first refused to do any making good, even though all that was needed was a small patch of cement or mastic.  

Most disappointing was the hustling approach to signing of the completion sheet, dismissing questions and then, when problems were identified, citing small print in the contract as an excuse not to take any action and threatening debt collectors if payment was not immediately made.

After some unpleasant email exchanges, workers returned to reveal the window, albeit rather untidily, and it now appears to be watertight.  They did replace the broken light fitting and put some decorator’s caulk to patch the chipped harling, although this does not appear to be of good quality and is gradually being washed away by the rain.

Whilst the end result is adequate, the attitude of GR windows falls well below what I would expect of a Trusted Trader and I would not recommend their services.

I could not recommend G R Window & Door Specialists highly enough. Last year I had two bedroom windows replaced by one of the big Companies. The work was fine. This year, with lockdown I wanted to use the services of a local business and I am so glad that I did.

The work wasn't fine but EXCEPTIONAL! Higher standard of finishing and attention to detail than the bigger company.
From quotation stage to fitting, I was kept up to date with developments in a professional manner. Huge thanks to Colin and Shane, the fitters who were friendly and professional and left no hint that I had windows replaced.

I will be returning to GR Window and Door Specialists in the new year for further work and will be singing their praises to anyone that is looking to have their windows/doors replaced.

GR Windows supplied and installed replacement vertical sliding uPVC windows in my 2nd floor tenement flat.

The whole process was very smooth. The initial visit was done by a fitter, who explained the options and had no trouble answering my questions. The quote was competitive and the communication was excellent throughout. The work was done on schedule (in one day) to a great standard and everything was left clean and tidy afterwards. A minor snag was put right without any fuss. The new windows have been in for about a month and all is well.

I would definitely use them again.

GR Windows & Doors recently fitted replacement windows for our home. From the initial contact, quote through to the fitting, we have been so impressed with the quality and value for money. The fitters were excellent with a really impressive finish to the work and they were clean and tidy throughout.

- No hard sell - just a fair price and everything laid out simply so that we understood how the job would go if we were to go ahead.
- Quality - we had sash and case windows replaced and due to the way they scoped the job, were able to retain all of the existing wood facings and architraves with minimal impact on the existing frames - just some paint touch up.

GR provided the cheapest quote for replacement of 6 windows and one door in my two rental properties. The quality of the windows and door was excellent and they installed them on time and with minimal fuss or mess. My tenants said they caused no disturbance. I would have no problem in recommending GR.
