Our last boiler broke down on Hogmanay and Thomas came to look at it on the 2nd January, and installed a new one for us on the 3rd. He did a fantastic job and we were so pleased with everything. I would highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble and we were given really helpful information and options to consider throughout. We will definitely use again for annual servicing.

Great job done by a man who obviously has lots of experience. I called previous evening and Thomas was round following morning, he had all parts required on hand to get my boiler up and running smoothly in less than an hr, still running smoothly a week later. Previously I had called out the Edinburgh boiler company who got it working for 1hr and did no checks, they said I needed a new boiler as replacement part was hard to source, this was not the case and Thomas got my boiler running for less than 10% of the cost of a new boiler. Top man and great at his job, highly recommend over any company and will be using for my future jobs.

Calescent undertook a full boiler and radiator installation for us. From quote to completion it was absolutely seemless. We liked how Tommy communicated with us at all stages what he was doing and why and also that he advised us on what was best for us and not necessarily what was the most expensive option, that was refreshing. Immaculate work in what can be a messy business. Our new system is superb and excatly what we needed. It was really how it should be - professionalism, a pride in the work and a complete gent with me and my family, I can't recommend high enough. *note* Calescent can also navigate a 3 year olds relentless questions whithout appearing to slow down production. No mean feat!

Fantastic job done in my house for new radiators. Lovely guy, nothing was a problem, explained all stages of the job, pointed out any problems before doing the work. Reliable and efficient, left everything clean and tidy. Would not hesitate to use again.

Thomas replaced our ensuite Mira Sport shower, fixed a leaky outdoor tap and broken pop up bath plug. He was very professional, friendly, organised and communication was excellent throughout. When we had to reschedule our appointment for another day, he was very understanding and was able to accommodate this request. We would certainly use him again and recommend him to neighbours and friends.

Tommy fixed our boiler for a good price, was efficient and good value . Another company told us we needed a whole new boiler but they were just trying to rip us off , Tommy fixed it no bother and has been working great ever since .
Also we called him again and he fixed the toilet . He was again very efficient , quick to respond and had the toilet up and working in no time. We will use His service every time we can I would say

Trader was very helpful and after a long day was very polite and efficient.
Problem was assessed very quickly and confirmation given that repair would be completed.Left to work,the job was completed with no problems.

Thomas did a couple of jobs for us and we are very happy with the work, the cost and Thomas's communication and reliability. The first job was to diagnose fault with heating not always coming on then to supply and fit new Thermostat. The second job was to fix a sluggish boiler which meant the water was never really hot. Thomas cleaned boiler, supplied and fitted a couple of parts and the result piping hot water.

I had a heating control replaced. Thomas came at fairly short notice & arrived punctually. He did the job speedily & efficiently & I’d definitely recommend him.

I needed a gas central heating pump replaced and then, not long after, a new circuit board.
I was extremely fortunate to find Thomas Nimmo by searching for a gas engineer online.
He is easy to talk to and was very reassuring about what was wrong with my heatng system. I live alone and Thomas was a pleasure to have in my home and spent time (which I was not charged for) making sure that there was no alternative to costly repairs. I inherited my gas central heating when I bought my flat and I know it was not easy to fix. I was dreading my bills as both jobs were complicated and very time consuming and frustrating. However, Thomas just charged me for the parts and a fraction of the true cost of his labour. I was so lucky to find him and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting a great gas engineer or plumber.

Investigation and rectification of central heating system problem and supply and fitting of a new radiator. Nothing was too much trouble for Thomas who was pleasant and friendly as well as efficient and he was insistent on sticking to his quoted price despite considerable time required to overcome below floor access difficulties due to the nature of our house . Would recommend this firm to anyone.
