We are not a national Franchise company who charges high prices. We Are a local company based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Because we are mobile Locksmiths, we have next to no overheads. This means we can pass the savings onto the customer.

All our prices at Alcatraz locksmiths are fixed. We can give a customer an accurate quote over the phone by simply asking a few questions regarding what service they need. If a customer is not sure what they are talking about or they would prefer a face to face quote that is no problem too. We will go to the property and give a free quote with absolutely no obligation to use our service

We know that customers can find themselves in a stressful situation when they have a problem with their door or window locks. That is why we will always try to accommodate a customer within an hour of receiving their call, or at at time that suits then.
We realise having problems with your locks can be stressful. That's why we aim to be at all jobs within 30 minutes of receiving the call. We accept all payment methods, and all work comes with a 1 year guarantee.

I have used Alcatraz Locksmiths 5 times (for various rental properties I manage). I thoroughly recommend them. Superb - efficient, extremely quick to help and cheap. I have their number stored on my phone and wouldn't think of yusing any other locksmith.

I called Danny this morning and he answered immediately. I was booked in for 12 noon, but he finished early and was able to come sooner , which was great. The locks were fixed and another job on a upvc door fixed .

Emergency call out for locking myself out of my flat. Arrived in 10mins. Fully replaced lock 10mins after that. Cleaned up after himself too. Friendly guy.

locked out of my flat on a Saturday evening, needed to have door opened asap. He arrived in less than 15 minutes, a very friendly guy, job was finished in a flash, the cost felt quite reasonable (£ 60) under the particular circumstances. I'm satisfied and grateful.

Phoned for quote and arranged time to come and fix faulty lock on back door. Arrived on time and completed the repair at a fair price. If you need a locksmith then I would recommend Alcatraz for a 1st class experience.

I cannot speak too highly of the service provided and the way in which it was provided. Locksmith came to our house within 30 minutes of answering phone call and took less than that time to fix it. He then showed us how to fix it ourselves next time!

Door unlocked but wouldn't open, came along got door open showed us the problem, then fixed and checked mechanism with no need for spare parts and a very good price too. Highly recommend.

I needed a broken handle replaced on a patio door. They came out on time to replace but needed to order a part which arrived the following day (it was too late in the afternoon to get that day). I was contacted when they had the part and they arrived 10 minutes later to fix it. I could not fault the service, polite, punctual and value for money. I’d recommend them and I would definitely use again.
