We are not a national Franchise company who charges high prices. We Are a local company based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Because we are mobile Locksmiths, we have next to no overheads. This means we can pass the savings onto the customer.

All our prices at Alcatraz locksmiths are fixed. We can give a customer an accurate quote over the phone by simply asking a few questions regarding what service they need. If a customer is not sure what they are talking about or they would prefer a face to face quote that is no problem too. We will go to the property and give a free quote with absolutely no obligation to use our service

We know that customers can find themselves in a stressful situation when they have a problem with their door or window locks. That is why we will always try to accommodate a customer within an hour of receiving their call, or at at time that suits then.

Excellent experience from start to finish.
Two external doors from sun room would no longer lock securely. Contacted Alcatraz one afternoon, after explanation and discussion they arrived the next day and on time. Work was carried out, with replacement items fitted from stock held in the van. (No popping off to Screwfix or B&Q to get spares. I was previously charged 2 hours by an electrician for getting parts). Various option were discussed throughout, identifying the problems, giving me options and recommendations. Work carried out professionally and neatly with a proper tidy up when the jobs were completed.
A day later I identified a minor issue which just need tidied up and when Alcatraz were contacted in the late afternoon, were in attendance the next morning to resolve.
This is sound, quality and professional service we expect but so seldom can find. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely being using Alcatraz the next time I have any lock or security issues.

The lock on my French doors broke meaning I couldn’t secure the house. Contacted Alcatraz & Danny came out & carried out a repair for me. I’d expected a new lock may be needed but they were able to fix the old one which kept the bill very reasonable. Prompt & professional service. I would recommend this company & would definitely use them again.

Damaged UPC door lock replaced. What a nice chap came to fix it he was polite and very easy to get on with he was like one of the family. He phoned to say he was going to be later than expected but we did not wait to long. He knew what he was talking about and was very good value for money. I would definitely use him again

We needed to replace a garage door lock. Alcatraz visited and gave us a few costed options then returned the next day to complete the works. All work was carried out promptly and with minimum fuss. Would have no issues in recommending Alcatraz.

Danny provided a quote for the work prior to visiting me and once on site he was honest in identifying where I could save money as part of the installation. Great advice on security.
