We are not a national Franchise company who charges high prices. We Are a local company based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Because we are mobile Locksmiths, we have next to no overheads. This means we can pass the savings onto the customer.

All our prices at Alcatraz locksmiths are fixed. We can give a customer an accurate quote over the phone by simply asking a few questions regarding what service they need. If a customer is not sure what they are talking about or they would prefer a face to face quote that is no problem too. We will go to the property and give a free quote with absolutely no obligation to use our service

I couldn't be happier with the service by Alcatraz. I was given a quote over the phone, and Danny came out the very same morning. He identified that my patio doors were badly misaligned, which had been causing me to force the handle and eventually loosen a small screw.
Rather than replacing parts unnecessarily, he fitted a longer screw and realigned the doors perfectly, top and bottom. The doors now work like new, and the final bill came in well under the original quote.
Excellent, honest service from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alcatraz.

I had my lock changed for security reasons following the purchase of my first flat. Danny was very quick to provide a quote and to book me in for the work. He was punctual and got the job done quickly and effectively. I would recommend Danny to anyone needing a locksmith!

Had a new house where none of the keys would fit. On a Saturday. Would recommend Alcatraz - they came out straight away, identified the problem, and fixed it. Great quality of work and advice. Found on Trusted Trader. Would recommend if you need a locksmith.

Danny provided an efficient, friendly and professional service.
However, what I was most impressed with was his patience as I was arranging a visit on behalf of my daughter who lives in Edinburgh and he was very understanding when we had to change the time.
It’s good to know that we have someone we trust to call on in future if we have a similar problem

Replaced door locks as one broke suddenly and I couldn't close or lock the door. Very quick to come out that day. Explained all costs before starting the work. Very efficient and friendly. Would definitely use again and would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant service. They came to fix my lock quickly and the charge was really reasonable. He also sorted my lock on my bathroom window. I would really recommend this company.

Danny replaced the barrel, cylinder and lock on our back door. Firstly, he answered almost immediately and then kept me updated on when he could attend which was appreciated. Whilst here he took the time to consider the best solution and suggest different options (cheapest to dearest). There was no attempt to 'sell' the most expensive choice, but he did clearly set out the pros and cons of each and I appreciated his honesty and transparency. Ultimately, he did the job to a high standard and I'm happy with the result and feel I got value for money. I can be quite cynical when it comes to work being done on my property, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Danny/Alcatraz to friends and family or use him again.
