We are not a national Franchise company who charges high prices. We Are a local company based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Because we are mobile Locksmiths, we have next to no overheads. This means we can pass the savings onto the customer.

All our prices at Alcatraz locksmiths are fixed. We can give a customer an accurate quote over the phone by simply asking a few questions regarding what service they need. If a customer is not sure what they are talking about or they would prefer a face to face quote that is no problem too. We will go to the property and give a free quote with absolutely no obligation to use our service

We know that customers can find themselves in a stressful situation when they have a problem with their door or window locks. That is why we will always try to accommodate a customer within an hour of receiving their call, or at at time that suits then.

We had an issue with the multi-point locks on our uPVC door and Danny was able to diagnose and sort the problem easily. The door was realigned quickly and three minor issues resolved so we now have a door that is working like new.

Danny came within hours of me contacting him to inspect a faulty front door locking mechanism and to provide advice.
As I no longer had faith in the lock Danny replaced the mechanism there and then.
I am happy with the price and the excellent service provided by Danny, who is both professional and personable.
I trust the new mechanism will give years of use.
As I can't speak to the quality of the product I have given a 4 star rating above, but, as said, Danny's customer service was excellent.
I would recommend Danny and I would use him again.

Had a broken UPVC door lock on conservatory - Danny responded quicker than other locksmiths, turned up the same day and fitted new lock in half an hour. Honest and approachable guy, reasonable prices and would definitely recommend him.

Needed access to the flat urgently after a flooding incident. Found Danny via this site and called at 3pm on Thursday hoping for a Friday call out. He arrived exactly on time at 9.30am (in fact I'd suggested I could be there 30 mins early and he kindly obliged). Was able to gain access, undo some of the damage done to the door, fit a new lock and give me recommendations for a plumber, all within an hour of arriving. He was great and saved me a load of hassle. Thanks Danny, brilliant service.

Got locked out of the flat today due to a jammed lock. Called Alcatraz Locksmiths and Danny was able to come to the flat promptly, fixed the problem and all for a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended.

Amazing, fast and reliable service. Locksmith was super friendly and accommodating when I’d locked myself out of my flat. Got me inside in no time at all. Was a bit of a traumatic situation so I never got his name but he was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend :)

Phoned Danny and he was with me within 30 minutes.
Forced door open and replaced lock, providing 5 keys!, within 30 minutes.
Price was very reasonable.

I first spoke to Danny and he worked out the problem right away. He asked for a few pictures of the locking mechanism on my bifold doors so he could order a new one up. He was very polite and professional.he returned with the part 3days later and replaced the whole locking system which he showed us was all broken as we expected.
He was also kind enough to fix our lever handle at no extra cost.
We would definitely recommend this company and also wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.
