We are not a national Franchise company who charges high prices. We Are a local company based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Because we are mobile Locksmiths, we have next to no overheads. This means we can pass the savings onto the customer.

All our prices at Alcatraz locksmiths are fixed. We can give a customer an accurate quote over the phone by simply asking a few questions regarding what service they need. If a customer is not sure what they are talking about or they would prefer a face to face quote that is no problem too. We will go to the property and give a free quote with absolutely no obligation to use our service

We know that customers can find themselves in a stressful situation when they have a problem with their door or window locks. That is why we will always try to accommodate a customer within an hour of receiving their call, or at at time that suits then.
We realise having problems with your locks can be stressful. That's why we aim to be at all jobs within 30 minutes of receiving the call. We accept all payment methods, and all work comes with a 1 year guarantee.

Very fast response, got the job done in a very professional manner and the price was much better than other suggestions from Google. I hope I won't need a locksmith again, but if I ever need one in Edinburgh I will definitely call this one.

This is second time I have had to call out Danny to replace an old lock that had given up the ghost, response was quick, date agreed and he came this morning, replaced the lock and was all tidied up within the hour, excellent customer service!

Arranged for decorator to work in the flat whilst away and didn’t give all the correct keys. So he was stuck outside. Rang Danny on recommendation from another locksmith I had used before but was in a job some distance away and couldn’t get to the flat for a few hours. Danny was there in 30 mins or so and got straight in without replacing the barrel of the Yale lock. Quick, pleasant, very reasonable charge. I thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing urgent access to their property.

Amazing service. Our old door, which had been stiff and difficult to lock, finally gave up the ghost and locked us out on a bank holiday weekend.
Alcatraz were here within the promised 20 minutes and got the door opened quickly. On top of that, he took the whole locking mechanism out, found the issue, fixed it, oiled it, and adjusted the door's hinges so it's hanging properly again. Downstairs neighbours will be very happy as the door now opens and shuts without a sound!
We had been considering a brand new door but have been assured we don't need it any more, so getting locked out has saved us hundreds of pounds. Very professional, friendly and value for money, even ignoring the very welcome new door savings! Highly recommended. Thank you Alcatraz.
