This was my first experience with Musselburgh Slaters, I contacted them to see if someone could come out to have a look at my guttering which was leaking badly due to the heavy snow fall, Mark and his team arrived the next morning gave me a quote for the repair which I was more than happy with and proceeded to do the repair there and then, they did a fantastic job and nothing was any bother to them, A great team and a very professional company which I would highly recommend to anyone in the future.

Excessive moss removed and broken tiles replaced. Damaged fascia replaced. Plus partial complete retile of our cottage and chimney repoint. Everyone was friendly, polite and we were kept informed at all times of the progress.

This is the second time I have used this company. On this occasion it was a leak in a flat roof. From the time that they were first contacted Mark came on time, produced an estimate promtly and came to carry out the work at the agreed time. The work that was required was less than I anticipated and I was given an honest appraisal of the problem. It was then carried out promptly and as far as I can tell efficiently. The problem with my leak has certainly gone. Comparing the price quoted for the job against similar work that had been done for neighbours was probably a bit more expensive, however if this is what reliability, courtesy and service costs I am happy. Minor damage to other parts of the roof were pointed out and repaired at no extra cost. My experience in having this work carried by a firm that I first found on Trusted Trader has been very positive and I would not hesitate to contact them in future or to recommend them.

We lost part of our roof edging in recent storms and were at risk of the damage increasing quickly.

This is my first experience with Musselburgh Slaters and the guys were great! I explained the problem, they said they’d been round to see the work the following morning (which they did). They explained what would be needed, gave me a free quote and got on with doing the work there and then.

Replacement of leaking water gates, render chimneys and fix guttering on A-listed building (Monkton House, Old Craighall). All leaks fixed and squeezed us in at fairly short notice by working bank holiday weekend (much appreciated and it allowed us to progress our renovation project). The whole team were very professional and helpful throughout and I'd definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

2 window sills replaced , gutters cleaned , down pipes & gutters painted plus leak in gutter sealed . Replacement of filling under window . Happy to recommend Mark & his team .
The job was carried out efficiently with regard to social distancing . Mark kept me informed with progress even when they couldn’t start, as arranged , due to wet weather . Tidied & removed all rubbish when job complete .

We had a persistent leak coming into the bedroom which another company had failed to trace. Mark was immediately able to pinpoint the problem and two of his team - Mitch and Michael - worked steadily to make the necessary repair. They also replaced a few missing slates and cleaned out the guttering. On Mark's recommendation we agreed, instead of painting the wood on the dormer, to apply pvc, so improving the look. We found Mark and his team to be reliable workmen who turned up when they said they would. All were pleasant and we were happy with the standard of workmanship. Would certainly use them again.

Gutters repaired, cleaned and painted, sills replaced, pointed and Harled. Mark and his team did a very good job. We would have no hesitation in using them again.

Mark did an excellent job identifying the problem with my roof and fixing it after another "reputable" roofing company failed to fix it in three visits!
He was great in turning up, providing a quote, completing the fix in half the time originally suggested and then checking the repair when it next rained again.

Musselburgh Slaters recently replaced all the guttering on my house and did all the external paintwork including the windows. The work was done efficiently, on schedule and I am delighted with the results. I am happy to recommend them to anyone requiring similar work.

This company are well deserved of their 5 star rating. We initially agreed to have the house re-harled which was completed to a very high standard. It has transformed the look and kerb appeal of the house.

Mark was very helpful and willing to provide additional advice in other areas . We were so impressed that in the end the exterior of the house received a full MOT with added maintenance to the gutters, roof and driveway cleaned and re-sealed. The site was kept tidy and returned to its original state.

We had a roof leak which Mark's team dealt with. We were so impressed that we asked him to do a set of other jobs including harling a chimney and a gateway arch, sorting out some pavers, and dealing with leaks in the shed and garage roofs. Things were done when he said they would be and he followed up with visits to check that the repairs were satisfactory.
