I had 3 smoke alarms and a heat sensor fitted to meet the new regulations. I also had two new plug sockets fitted and 2 light switches fixed.
Brilliant, friendly service and am delighted with the work and would highly recommend.

Sandy and his son are extremely friendly, very helpful and provide excellent advice, always going out of their way to find the best solution. Sandy is fair, honest and reliable. They have done great work for me in the past and on this occasion, checked out an issue without charge despite me not getting the work done due to unforeseen personal circumstances. I will be using them for any future electrical work and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Got back to us really fast and came out to the house quickly. Carried out the work well and advised us on a few other queries. Very friendly and professional.

Supply and replace 3 light switches and 5 double power sockets, as well as installing an additional double socket. Sandy replied to my initial mail very quickly and arrived to look at the job in very good time. As soon as he had sourced my preferred switches he came out to carry out the work. The service provided was very friendly and efficient, and carried out to an excellent standard. Mess made was very minor but they still insisted on cleaning it up, despite me saying I was happy to do it. I couldn't be a happier customer, and will soon be contacting Sandy to carry out much more work. I guess that is the best recommendation I can give.

Sandy fixed some dodgy wiring (put in by a different electrician), replaced a burned socket, and gave electrical advice on a central heating issue. He was friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. Will definitely recommend.

Sandy Ramage and his son were very thorough and checked over all the various electrical wirings,sockets,fuse boards etc. from the attic to ground level in a businesslike and non intrusive fashion.

Sandy and son has done a series of jobs over the past year including a new fusebox, replacing ceiling/wall lights, new sockets and power to outside shed. Diagnostic and repair. Having been let down by another company. I telephoned A W Ramage Electricians to see if they could help. Came to my house quickly, even though busy, found the problem and repaired within a few hours and at a reasonable cost. Good customer service. Would highly recommend.

Had a couple of really old sockets (in an old Victorian flat) where one nearly caught fire. Needed urgent replacement.

Called Sandy (between Xmas & New Year!) and the issue was sorted out very professionally. The job sounded very simple but a lot of care and attention was given by Sandy, who took the time to explain what he was doing, as well as offering some sound advice.

Sandy upgraded the consumer unit (old fuse box), checked and repaired electrical and light fittings and fitted new smoke detectors/heat/carbon monoxide alarms.

Sandy replied promptly to our message (via Trusted Trader). He visited our property and provided a quote for the work required. We were very happy with his quote which was very reasonable indeed given the work required.

The job was completed in a day (Sandy worked all day) and there was no mess to clear up afterwards.

I had a problem with an external light that didn't work very well and a storage heater that was overheating. Sandy replaced the external light with something more modern and brighter and replaced the thermostat in the storage heater.

In addition he checked my other storage heater and shortened a radiator cable and pinned it neatly along a skirting board .

He was friendly, helpful, kept appointments and kept me informed at each stage of the repair process.

I would use him again and would have no problem recommending him to others.

I hired Sandy to rewire my house. Due to the size of the job he enlisted some additional help to speed up the process, which I appreciated. He gave me a very clear quote and all the work was laid out and costed. I asked them to take on a bit of additional work in terms of wiring up a speaker system for a home cinema room, which they were more than happy to do.

He communicated very clearly and was very responsive to my messages.

I had an unrelated plumbing issue occur during the job and Sandy relieved some of my stress by managing the repairs.

Overall they've done a great job and I've not had any issues.

Initially contacted Sandy through his website on a Saturday evening in the hope that he would respond the following Monday, but was really impressed to get a response within 15 minutes and an appointment made for Sandy to visit 2 days later.

Sandy gave me a simple explanation of what he would do, without the usual frowns, head scratching and talk of it being a big job. Quote arrived the following day and we agreed a date for the work to be completed.

The work was completed to a really high standard, without any fuss, with all wiring hidden from view and the room was left in an immaculate condition.

I contacted Sandy to put in a power supply to the shed at the back of the house. He replied promptly and when he came to see what was involved he suggested that it would be very easy to install a light into the shed at the same time.

Alex and Kieran just finished a small job for us (adding two new electrical points) and were lovely to work with, fairly priced, and did a great job. They arrived on time, communicated with me throughout the job, and cleaned up thoroughly.
