We had new fire alarm system installed to comply with new regulations. An update of lights in the kitchen were also installed.
Sandy was very professional and explained everything in simple terms. Arrived on time and cleaned up as he went along.

Work involved an inspection of all the electrics in my flat, as this was flagged up as a concern in the home report. It was done quickly and then provided with a quote to have the required and recommended work done - all explained pretty clearly. Sandy also agreed to do a few minor and cosmetic jobs which were beyond what I'd originally asked for, which was really appreciated.
Everything was done pretty quickly and for what is as far as I can tell very good value.

Upgrade consumer unit to dual RCD with MCB's BS7671:2018 compliant.
Allow additional spare MCB's and SPD. Upgrade mains connection to meter
and main earth conductor. Upgrade/check main earth bonding.

Fixed wiring connection from generator set to mains cupboard.
Manual changeover switch and switchgear for selected circuit

Sandy is probably the best person we have had work on our house. He is extremely friendly and helpful to deal with. His work is of the highest standard and cannot be faulted in any way. Alex did a great job fitting multi-linked alarms in my house and renewing kitchen and main room ceiling lights. Quick to respond to initial call for quote and then it was a matter of days before installation.

Both Alex and his colleague were tidy, courteous and efficient, and resolved an unforeseen problem quickly and with the minimum of fuss.

Re-wire garage circuits, install 2 x LED battens and light switch.  Install 1 x single socket for garage door, remove old strip lights and several old metal fixing rods: The work done was very good, it has transformed a dark garage into a well-lit place, with safe wiring and electrical sockets.  I also had some sockets moved in the house at an earlier date - also done efficiently by Sandy Ramage.

Work was completed as arranged and at the price quoted. Time was taken to answer all questions and ensuring I was happy with the job. Will gladly contact for future electrical work.

Replacement bathroom extractor fan: Electrician arrived promptly.  He was very friendly, explained what he was doing and completed the job quickly.  He was very tidy and organised and cleaned up, leaving no mess.  All in all excellent service.  I would certainly recommend him and will use this company again for any future electrical jobs I may have.

I hired Mr. Ramage to install a home charger for my electric car which he did competently exactly as asked. He was the only electrician that bothered to come to see the premises where I wanted it installed, he also offered the best quote.

Carried out safety test on entire property including checking previous contractors installation.  Removed 2 existing distribution boards supply power to different parts of the house and replaced with one to cover entire property.  Installed 2 additional double sockets.  Rectified issues with overheating lights and faulty switches and sockets.  Changed all existing switches and sockets to new slim line version (approx. 15 sockets and 10 switches).  Traced and rectified wiring joints throughout the property.  Re-wired the kitchen lighting.  Re-wired/repaired circuits in hall, landing and power sockets.  Re-wired bathroom lighting circuit.  Installed fused supply to bathroom.  De-installed 13A socket outlets from cooker circuit.  Installed new socket for microwave: I contacted Sandy as I was having various electrical issues having had another contractor carry out work on my house during renovation. Sandy responded to my inquiry promptly and arranged to visit the house to review the situation the next day.  It didn't take him long to confirm my fears and within 48 hours I had a comprehensive quote from him to carry out the work which included testing the existing wiring along with the new kitchen and bathroom installations carried out by the previous contractor.  A 2 day job became 4 but he worked around his other commitments to get the job done.  In my opinion, he is a true professional with first class experience who can be trusted to do the work efficiently and compliantly and not overcharge.  I felt safe in his hands and gave him the keys to my house with no hesitation.  Sandy carried out the work timeously, efficiently and with minimal disruption.  He kept me well informed at all times and sent me pictures of the progress while I was away.  I can't thank him enough for cleaning up after the previous dodgy contractor.  I only wish I had used him in the first place. I strongly recommend if you need an electrician to give him a call.

Double socket put in bedroom: Very neat job.  Phoned beforehand to confirm time of arrival.  Helpful suggestions as to siting the socket.  Friendly and courteous.  Highly recommended.

Replacing a wall mounted fan heater that had been in place for over 20 years!
Phoned Sandy on a Friday afternoon, he answered his phone and since then 2 weeks later my aunt now has a heater in her bathroom for the winter can’t thank him enough for his speedy service.
Sandy is the go to man from now on and would recommend him without hesitation.

Carried out EICR test on our property, replaces faulty switch, carried out portable appliance testing and inspected, tested and certified smoke/heat alarms: Excellent service, I have only spoken with Sandy on the phone but he gave me all the information I required and costings which matched his invoice.  My tenant was also very happy with the professional service he provided.  Will definitely use Sandy again and recommend.

Lights in kitchen skirting, 7 in total, 4 down lighters in hall replacing pendant light.  2 down lighters in downstairs toilet replacing pendant light: I was really impressed.  The lights looked amazing and Sandy even sent a picture after they had finished.  Even though I changed my mind on the day to change from 6 to 4 lights this was not a problem for him. Excellent experience, provided Sandy is available will be asking him to do the same in the living room.
