My parents required the full roof replacing on their precast concrete Compton garage. Colin came out to quote as arranged and prepared fully itemised/clear design and quote soon after. He also priced in an option to properly/safely dispose of the old roof panels if testing showed that they contained asbestos. Price was competitive and the estimated lead time provided in the quote set a clear customer expectation. This honest/clear communication gave us the confidence to proceed.

The professional communication continued through the project and we were always kept updated with start date/progress/etc. The roof was replaced as agreed by Colin (and co) with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship in the timescales indicated. Tidy worker too with no mess left behind and no issues to report. The work is covered by warranty but the new roof looks solid/built to last anyway. My folks are delighted with the job!

Over the past forty years or so we've got to deal with our fair share of tradesmen. In almost all cases, once you've paid for the job, if there are issues, however minor, they won't bother to reply. Colin and SPS are a glorious exception. Colin is really the only guy who responded promptly and kept checking how the works were doing a year after completion. There were no serious issues at all, by the way. But what was great was the speed of response and the fact that Colin really cares for customer care even after you've paid the lot. That, to me, is the sign of an outstanding craftsman. I should add that Colin was brilliant before and during the works. But as I say what was unbelievable was that he looks after his customers well after you've paid in full. So, yes, we recommend Colin without hesitation. If you need a guardian angel for your roof, Colin's the man!

Colin expertly and professionally repaired the roof tiles and guttering. He was in regular communication. His estimate for the work was very good and matched with the final invoice. A great job and excellent experience from start to finish.

We recently had our flat roof completely replaced by SPS. From start to finish this company is professional and friendly and keep you informed of what is happening the whole time. Colin, who owns the company, visited us and advised us of what was required and gave us a quote for the work. His prices are very competitive (we did get other quotes), but we were getting more work done for less using SPS. They arrived as agreed and are like work-horses, barely stopping even to eat, putting in roughly 10 hours work per day. They respected our property, putting covering down to protect outside areas and clearing up afterwards, you would barely notice our old roof had been lying in the garden. We've had lots of comments from neighbours who also noticed how hard they worked and how good a job they have made to our roof. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get any roof work done, you won't be disappointed.

The work done and completed was to replace old ridge and hip tiles on the roof with new tiles using a dry ridge system.

Originally I contacted Colin to replace 6 tiles broken in a storm, he replied promptly and replaced the tiles, I mentioned I was thinking about replacing all the tiles as I was fed up continually losing tiles in high winds, he assured me that my roof was ok and did an inspection, confirming all was well, I mentioned about a build up of moss and he said he'd seen worse but could clean the roof, he gave me a price, told me what would be done and "e" mailed me a price breakdown, I went online to get an average price and it was comparable, so I accepted.
He came the day he said, although my wife was in Hospital he said he could do it later if I wanted him to, arrived at 10:00 finished at 18:30, I never saw him take a break, all cleaned up, cleaned roans everything, excellent, could not fault him.

Price was good and I would definitely use SPS again. Nothing was to much trouble and everything was explained to me along with photographic evidence before and after work was done on my roof.

We had Colin and his team out to try and put a stop to persistent leaks between the roof and skews on our 150 year old roof. Colin discussed the several options available to us along with the pro's and con's of each, and we agreed on a course of action. They returned and installed lead underflashing of the 4 skews, removed unused external clutter from the stonework around the chimneys, re-haunched the chimneys and repaired and replaced slates as they went. On site they were tidy and professional, and happy to describe tasks and discuss any questions from myself as they went. The standard of works appears good, and overall we are delighted with the service provided by Colin and his team. Will definitely use again if needed, but looking at the quality of work, it definitely won't be for anything to do with the skews!

Following the storms this winter, we were concerned about the watertightness of our roof and flat roof. We contacted SPS's Colin, who came out and inspected both roofs and the window surrounds too. He identified a couple of issues, provided a verbal there and then, and followed it up with a written report, with priced repairs. He recommended we wait until the worst of the winter had passed to allow the repairs to be done in drier weather. We agreed that this was sensible. In the interim, a neighbour had a concern with a chimney, so I messaged Colin and asked him if he could help. He came out, inspected and repaired the chimney there and then, for a very fair price.
The following week, he came out and carried out all the repairs professionally and with care towards the property.
What a pleasure it was to deal with such a professional and courteous company. We will definitely use SPS again if required

Torched on roofing felt on garage roof replacing existing roofing felt. This is the 3rd time I have used Colin and his colleagues for various roofing tasks. He is an excellent and meticulous craftsman. I would use him again and highly recommend his company.
