I contacted R&J after being let down by various businesses … spoke with James who came and surveyed the work needed and got his team to carry out the work as soon as they could !
The team who came to do the work were friendly and let us know what they were going to do with no fuss or mess ! Would definitely have James and the crew back to do any roof maintenance we require in the future .

James carried out a repair at our elderly mother’s house following some recent weather damage. His customer service and quality of work are second to none. We have had work carried out previously at our house and this was to the same excellent standard. We’ve recommended R &J roofing to friends and family and would do so again without hesitation. These guy’s are angels, there was a bit of an emergency when I contacted R&J Roofing but instantly they put me at ease & advised what would need done.
2 days later they had not only looked at the work needing done which was a broken skylight that needed removed & tiled over with roof tiles.
They completed the work to a high standard with compassion & understanding of the predicament I was in at the time.
Thank you so much for being so understanding & rapid at addressing the repair.
I know who to call for anything else on the roof now too.
You will definitely be my 1st choice.

James and his team recently did work at our property. James and his team replaced the old slate roof with a new tile roof. They also replaced an old felt roof above our bay window. Our rhones were also replaced with new metal ones replacing the existing metal rhones. Finally James installed vents in the tile roof to provide better ventilation for the loft. I can't recommend R and J roofing enough. They did an excellent job and would highly recommend them.

James and the team replaced the hip and ridge tiles on our roof. Really fair price and great service. Recently had a down pipe issue, sorted the same day. Great to see good workmanship and value for money and honesty. Should be the go to roofer in Dunfermline.

I contacted R&J Roofing after reading previous reviews on this website, requiring a quote in respect of a new roof for me semi detached house. James called round at appointed time. He reviewed the work required, and discussed the matter fully wife my wife and I. He then submitted a written quote for the work to be carried out some 4 months ahead, due to work load. This was agreed. Some 2 months into the waiting period however, James contacted us, and stated that due to better weather, he was able to bring the work forward, if we wished. A new date was agreed.
James and his team arrived on time on the agreed date. All secondary work had been completed prior to their arrival, ie skip hire and scaffolding. The work took 2 and a half days. Each day the men arrived on time, and the site was left clean and tidy at the end of day. Each day, James gave me a run down of work completed, and schedule for the next day.
The finished work looks perfect, and was carried out efficiently and on time.
Have already recommended James and his team to other interested parties.

This company did a small roofing repair for me. He went out of his way to give me the cheapest option for the repair. The work was done exactly as he described. They came when he said he would and did the repair. A little job a lot of firms wouldn’t be interested in. However I am aware my roof will need retiled in the next couple of years and it will be R& J Roofing I’ll be speaking to about it

This was a relatively small job as it turned out. However I thought before speaking to the person who came that is was going to be huge and expensive. I was delighted when he pointed out my cheapest effective option. My knowledge of building and roofing is nil so he could have made it a much bigger job and I would have been no wiser. So an A plus there for being completely honest about my options. They squeezed this job in the following week and the finish is perfect. I am delighted after weeks of worry, 5 star in every category. My roof will need replaced in the next few years and I know what company I will be approaching. Thank you again R &J Roofing

We first used R&J Roofing by chance for a small roof repair 3 years ago shortly after moving to our 33 year old bungalow. Last autumn after water ingress into our loft we decided to have the entire roof, soffits, fascias and guttering replaced. James, Ricki and their team did a wonderful job transforming the look of our house in the time scale they had indicated. They explained clearly what the job entailed and were always polite, friendly, genuine and trustworthy. When a small problem occurred a few weeks later James attended that same day and dealt with it. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a roofing company they can trust.

Re-tiling roof. R & J carried out the work in accordance with their quotation and specified timetable. The contract required them to subcontract the provision of scaffolding and skips as well as all materials, all of which was done on time. Their team of four were entirely helpful and ccourteous throughout and I would be happy to use them again and to recommend their services to others.
