Vulcan Services Ltd are your complete supply, repair and installation service for all your Plumbing, Heating and Electrical work. We are a family run business operating in Edinburgh for more than 25 years.
We carry out the following works:
All aspects of gas, plumbing and electrical works - from installations to repairs
All landlord testing - Landlord Gas Safety Check, Electrical Installation Condition Report, Legionella Risk Assessment and Portable Appliance Testing
Bathroom Installations
We have now opened our new Bathroom Showroom, where we can offer a Supply & Installation service or a Supply only.

The team at Vulcan replaced our shower tray and enclosure, along with replacing the flooring and two wall panels in the bathroom, a number of ceiling lights around the house and a fan in the bathroom. The team were very professional, protecting the floors etc around the house as they worked, the work they carried out was completed to a high standard and they kept us updated so we knew how the work was progressing and roughly the time it would take. We would definitely recommend them.

I found Vulcan, a local firm, through neighbour recommendations. From the initial contact with Sharon, consult with Des, through to the finished product, their team were exemplary in work ethic, skills, professionalism and attention to detail with high quality workmanship. They provided great ideas based around the needs of our household and tastes, the result of which is a stunning, modern bathroom we are really happy with. I would definitely recommend them.

Vulcan Gas have just replaced my old boiler, leaving me with a warm, comfortable flat, and loads of hot water. I totally recommend their services, they are efficient and kind, and don't create a mess. They are tried and trusted and I would not use anyone else.

Absolutely brilliant service from Des at Vulcan. He was able to attend my property at short notice and resolved a running water issue extremely quickly and professionally. Des also took the time to explain the issue to me and why it was happening which was great as it demonstrated that he was knowledgeable and even offered me tips on how to improve my home plumbing in the future. I would gladly use Vulcan again for services of any kind.

We had a variety of plumbing jobs carried out by Vulcan Gas: installation of 2 new radiators, bathroom tap replaced and an outside tap installed. From initial contact with their office through to job completion the level of service has been outstanding. Des and Joe were very professional, friendly and tidy whilst carrying out the work to an extremely high standard. Absolutely delighted with the work done. We will definitely use Vulcan Gas Services in the future and recommend to friends/family.

New gas boiler fitted recently following previous work to clear a blocked radiator pipe. We have used Vulcan Gas for over 15 years, for everything from tap replacement and boiler servicing to a completely new shower room, and have no hesitation in recommending the standard of their work. Des can be relied on to give helpful advice and offer solutions to problems, based on a wealth of experience, and Vulcan Gas is now used regularly by friends and family.

Sharon is a star! My parents' fireplace stove stopped working and I have been struggling to get someone to fix it for months now. Tonight I sent Vulcan an email and Sharon responded so quickly with what was wrong with it and figured out the issue straight away. Incredible and then she proceeded to advise for free over email how I go about fixing it. It is now working and I no longer need to worry about my parents being cold over the winter months. Thank you Sharon and it speaks volumes of your company's integrity that your advice was given so freely!

Had a bit of an emergency when my boiler suddenly packed in. I phoned Vulcan and despite being extremely busy, they managed to get an engineer out that day. The engineer quickly diagnosed the problem and had it back up and running in no time at all. Excellent value and I’ll definitely use them again.

Boiler and fireplace serviced.Des is great. He is efficient, courteous and shows up on time when he says he is going to do. That is huge in this industry where other traders have had me wait in all day only to cancel. Will always use VG. I've had bad experiences in the past with other traders and to find VG means I am in good hands.

Vulcan Gas has serviced my boiler for over twenty years. They have also installed a shower, installed smoke and carbon dioxide alarms to meet the new regulations, and done various other pieces of work in my flat. They respond at once to an emergency, provide a quick, efficient and safe service, and I would not contact anyone else for plumbing, gas or household repairs.

A few years ago Vulcan Gas fitted my new boiler and a member of the team has been back to service it every year since. They also came to my rescue in an emergency and were especially helpful on that occasion. Everyone I've had dealings with has been friendly and efficient. As I haven't any comparisons, I can't really judge value for money but costs have always seemed reasonable.

Vulcan gas fitted a new kitchen tap for us and sorted a problem with our boiler. The person who came to do this work was very friendly and efficient and despite it being late on a Friday afternoon carried out the work to a high standard and wasn't rushing. He has been to our flat before for other plumbing issues as have other members of the team and the service has always been knowledgeable, friendly and of high standard. My parents have used Vulcan gas for years also. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you.
