A few years ago Vulcan Gas fitted my new boiler and a member of the team has been back to service it every year since. They also came to my rescue in an emergency and were especially helpful on that occasion. Everyone I've had dealings with has been friendly and efficient. As I haven't any comparisons, I can't really judge value for money but costs have always seemed reasonable.

Vulcan gas fitted a new kitchen tap for us and sorted a problem with our boiler. The person who came to do this work was very friendly and efficient and despite it being late on a Friday afternoon carried out the work to a high standard and wasn't rushing. He has been to our flat before for other plumbing issues as have other members of the team and the service has always been knowledgeable, friendly and of high standard. My parents have used Vulcan gas for years also. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you.

My wife and I recently had all the radiators in our house replaced by Vulcan Gas. Des and Joe did a fantastic job - very professional, very friendly. We have used Vulcan Gas several times over the last few years - new combi boiler, new bathroom - and have nothing but praise for their work. So much so, we have recommended them to several of our friends and neighbours. They are a company that we trust 100%.

I had a new boiler fitted. Work was carried efficiently, courteously, cleanly and without fuss. The company has also in the past carried out boiler servicing of my previous boiler. I would happily recommend the company to others.

I have just moved into my new home and needed to replace the old boiler with a new Combi. Vulcan were friendly, informative, efficient and gave me confidence in the appliance and I feel lucky to have found a company I can go to for any future plumbing/gas needs.

We have had three jobs carried out by this company, the jobs were toilet flush replacement, hand basin tap value replacement and today we got a shower door replaced and fitted. We have had Des, his son and another member of the team. A great company and team.

My new bathroom looks lovely. Des and Joe arrived punctually as arranged, worked methodically through each day, and finished within the estimated time. It's always easy to discuss things with them, and everything was left clean and tidy at the end.

Des and Joe are what I expect from a professional service. Courteous, considerate and an excellent job done. They called ahead of time as requested, did the job efficiently and left my house as they had found it. As other reviewers have pointed out, I wish all tradespeople provided such an excellent service as this.

Joe carried out the annual maintenance check for my living flame gas fire. He arrived at the arranged time and his work was thorough. He was friendly and professional at all times. Also, the phone receptionist was helpful and was able to arrange a visit for me at fairly short notice.

Excellent customer services.Reassurences received by engineer over the phone.Despite it being minutes before the business closed for the Christmas Break he arrived promptly and got to solving the issue.We are extremely thankful to have our heating up and running again..

So first things first, young lady on the phone took the upmost interest in dealing with my enquiry. From start to finish I felt I was looked after. I had a problem with my gas heating system along with an electrical issue in one of my flats. The response was rapid and dealt with within 24 hours of my first call. Edinburgh’s number 1 plumber in my eyes. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thanks Joe, Des & team!

Des and Joe did a fantastic job installing our new boiler and resolving the water pressure issues we have had for years. Des talked me through a number of options before we settled on a make/model and was incredibly useful. They did a great job which we're delighted with. As a pleasant surprise Joe fixed one of our taps that had been plumbed the wrong way round without being asked - the kind of touch you don't see very often. Thanks guys.

I used Vulcan Gas Services for the first time recently and couldn't be happier with all aspects of their service.
They are such an great company to deal with. I was able to schedule work to be carried out at short notice. They are reliable, professional, trustworthy and do a really thorough job. They are also very clean and tidy.
They genuinely care about their customers and I think the service they provide is exceptional.
I can honestly say they are the only company I will now use for any plumbing or gas engineer work.

Whenever I have a plumbing problem Vulcan Gas Services are the company that I always call first. No job is too small for them. A recent airlock in the upstairs cold-water pipe was sorted out by Des at very short notice for which I was very grateful, as he fitted-in this job to his schedule despite a generally heavy work-load. I regard this action as a real testament to the service that Vulcan provide. Des, his wife Sharon, his son and other co-workers are the epitome of a friendly, highly skilled, reliable and wholly trustworthy local family business. Based on the work that they have done for me over the last 5 years, I wholeheartedly recommend them to others without reservation.

Called Vulcan Gas Services when we needed a boiler service and concealed flue inspection hatch fitted. We needed the job done quickly since we decided to rush through with a property move before our first baby arrived. Vulcan were quite busy but managed to fit us in relatively quickly, we were very happy with the work done..

I used Vulcan for the first time recently, and wish I had discovered them years ago! Des identified and discussed with me the cause of several problems I was experiencing with my heating system, then rectified them all to my complete satisfaction. He and his co-workers were courteous, friendly and informative. I was impressed by their knowledge and professionalism, and have already booked them to replace a gas fire burner.

Vulcan Gas installed my boiler about 2 years ago and I have used their plumbing services since for unrelated problems but this week Des earned my eternal gratitude by coming out to investigate and fix a leaking pipe the same afternoon I phoned. He managed to track down where a builder had put a screw through a copper pipe, taking up lino and floorboards, replacing damaged pipe and returning the room to rights, remaining friendly and cheerful throughout, despite it being well after 6 when he finished.

Initially had difficulty find a gas plumber who would still look after the Powermax boiler fitted as standard through my flats development). But Vulcan did, and I have continued to use them for boiler service. Will definitely be a preferred trader when the time comes for a replacement system too.
