Richard was happy to help us out at short notice even though he already had a busy day. He kept us well informed of his schedule and ETA, while onsite he was polite and professional, and he patiently explained the work he was carrying out and the product he was installing for us.
Richard explained that in a couple of years we may require further maintenance on our door, and after today's service I wouldn't hesitate to have him back for any further work required.

I had a new flat with one set of keys, multiple copies in the wild, and others missing. I needed locks changed and opened, not only to keep my flat secure but also to access the mail in the mailbox. Richard arrived on time, was friendly, informative and sympathetic. He changed two locks, cut an extra set of keys, and opened and replaced the mailbox lock in just over an hour. Excellent service and a well-named business, with a well-deserved position as one of the best in Edinburgh.

I had left a key on the inside of a closed door and there was no other way to get in other than this door! I contacted Hero Locksmith through the Edinburgh Trusted Trader site at about 09:30. Richard contacted me, from his van, about 10:30. He arrived and had the door opened by 11:30. Absolutely brilliant! Great workmanship and a very likeable person too. Thank you so much.

I contacted Hero Locksmith to change a lock on my front door and was very pleased with the service. Richard was very friendly and helpful, offered a choice of locks and came out at exactly the time I requested. I will definitely use him again if I need a locksmith in future.

Richard came to fix the lock on my front door, he was able to come to the hour within an hour of my call. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and then fix the lock very quickly for a good price. Richard was extremely friendly and helpful - I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a locksmith!

Richard came within about an hour to fix my door when the gearbox completely broke and it wouldn’t open or close. A tradesperson I had out earlier in the week essentially broke it!! I won’t be recommending them but I definitely recommend Richard. Absolutely felt safe with him in my house and there was no pushing to fix things that didn’t need it. Thank you so much

Hero Locksmith by name & nature. Unlucky for me I have a flat with dodgy locks and had to call Richard out twice in five months. On both occasions he was super quick to reply and respond. I particularly like how he tried to diagnose the problem over the phone (e.g. Are you using a poorly cut copy of the master key? Have you tried the master key and does it work better? Which would save me the expense of changing a lock). An all round honest, nice guy that gets the job done. Couldn’t ask for more.
