Sweet Homes

After the work done earlier in the year, I got My Sweet Homes back to redecorate the rest of my flat - it looked so shabby compared to the work done in the living room. I now have a beautifully decorated flat and was once again impressed by the work ethics of the MSH crew. They arrived when they said, hoovered up every night before they left and did a fantastic job with attention to detail and my needs in mind.
In addition to the redecoration, Alex and Brunon removed an old three-door wardrobe and build me a flat packed (I ordered from Amazon) corner wardrobe which takes up much less space but is just as roomy. My bedroom is transformed. Would heartily recommend this company.

I had Sweet Homes come to replace my bathroom floor, replace a radiator and move a fixed cabinet and do some minor paint touch-ups. This was the second time Brunon and his team have done work on my property. They've done a good job again and I'm happy with the quality of the work, the floor looks great. The job ended up being a bit bigger than anticipated due to an unseen leak and some quite bad damage behind the back of the toilet and shower, but they were able to fix up all of this without any additional stress for me, and communicated clearly with me what was going on. Brunon and his team have consistently shown up and done what they've said they'll do, when they've said they'll do it, and they've always kept me in the know if there are any minor changes of plan. This time the work was carried out by Robert and Alex who were both easy to have around and just got on with things. Brunon does a clear and thorough written quotation before the work which I appreciate so you know exactly what is expected and what is being priced for.

Ceiling repair following water damage, installation of access hatch and upgrade of lighting to LED.
Took great care to protect the flooring with heavy duty protective layer, very well finished job, kept the area neat and tidy.
And turned up on time or rang ahead if delayed, and fitted in seamlessly with our holiday and various appointments.

We have used Brunon and the team a number of times now and always recieve a great service from the full team. We had a number of jobs on this occassion including; fixing and replastering large sections of a bedroom, repainting the same room, installing two sets of shelves to maximise storage space in cupboards, remove a large set of gates in a fence and return to a solid fence, replace panels in pine doors and re-colour to match original door, change door handles throughout the house and build an airing cupboard. The airing cupboard required fitting a new radiator and moving a plug which was no issue the the team. Brunon took our request on board and provided drawings of the airing cupboard before starting. Delighted with all the work that was completed.

My experience of using Sweet Homes was all-round very positive and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to anyone looking for work to be carried out on their home. We discovered Brunon through Edinburgh Trusted Trader and couldn't be happier with the results. They removed an internal living room wall and a chimney stack in our kitchen, and then installed a new kitchen. The space was tricky, with lots of awkward angles, but Brunon and his team were fantastic problem-solvers. They even managed to fit our fridge-freezer with custom carpentry. The attention to detail was outstanding, from the kitchen units to the plastering. Brunon has a great team, and we're especially grateful to Alex, Marek, and Richard.

We had some general smaller works undertaken both internally and externally.

We had our bathroom torn out and rebuilt from scratch.
Some co-ordination was required with other tradesmen to fix some rot; sweet homes were flexible to accommodate this.

We had an extractor fan fitted in an extended box room as per building control requirements. I contacted Brunon following the original builder leaving this work undone. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave suggestions for making the project easier which building control agreed. He gave clear estimates of costs breaking down the work and there was good communication throughout. His staff arrived on time, were polite, very respectful and cleaned everything up after. We had an old garage at the bottom of our garden that no amount of ongoing repair was going to help. I contacted a number of trusted trader recommendations. All were very good at responding and coming up to discuss the project. Brunon stood out however. He listened to what we were looking for. He put forward suggestions. He gave us space and time to consider the options. He also came up with a price that was on par with other quotes. At this point you of course are still taking a chance. However the previous reviews and our ongoing discussions gave us confidence that we should go ahead. At the outset, Brunon supplied the details of the contract and outlined how the project would unfold. Brunon's team started on the date promised. The guys that were on site were excellent. The quality of the work was very good and they were more than happy to discuss any aspects. More importantly for us, Brunon made himself available virtually daily. He was always contactable. Nothing was a major issue. You felt confident that if anything came up himself and the team had your back. As the work progressed, Anna provided ongoing updates on the account management side of things. These were always accurate. Payments were made as the work progressed.
Did everything go smoothly. No. we had some damage on a delivery. Brunon and the team could have stepped away and indicated the issue lay elsewhere but they didn't. They owned the problem and sorted it. This was replicated with some other minor things. That sold us in having Sweet Homes carry out additional work for us that included new paths and fencing. All to our satisfaction. So on the space that was our garage we have a room overlooking our patio and a smaller integral garage. With new paths, paving and fencing. We are both delighted with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending Sweet Homes for any future projects you might be envisaging.

Brunon and his team replaced our rear stair and decking area installing ceramic tiles to replace the wooden deck and composite boards for the stair. The design of the stair is excellent and all the work was carried out in a very professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble. I have no problem recommending them for any work.

Replacing large timber gate: replacing timber soffits in porch with PVC soffit panels; removing window and replacing with double glazed PVC tilt and turn window: strip render off garden wall and replace; fixing existing coping stoners.

It was pleasing that at an early stage, Brunon of Sweet Homes, arranged to call to see the works required. He has an easy manner and was happy to discuss the different options and listen to my thoughts on them.
He produced a detailed quotation for the works and costs. He also provided a useful outline of timeframes including items which had to be manufactured. He kept in touch by phone or email with updates on progress with manufacturing.
He had members of his team on site and working within the time he had said. He introduced each person individually and agreed start times for them.
They were always punctual and got on with the tasks. They were easy to get on with and meticulous in respecting our property.

I had a new click vinyl floor laid in my en-suite bathroom, including replacing the ply underneath, and I am very pleased with it.
I also had an intermediate step constructed outside my back door. It is proving useful and I am particularly pleased that it fits in with the surrounding brickwork and doesn't stand out as something added on.
I appreciated the care and detail in the estimate and all my questions were answered promptly and satisfactorily. The team were friendly and efficient, I would not hesitate to recommend them and would certainly consider using them again.
