The work was examined using a drone. We had been told that we needed a new roof, but they were able to repair it. Very pleased with job!

Line a parapet (which was red sandstone and leaked with heavy rainfall) lined with thick lead I've had no leaks since men arrived at stated time clean and efficient highly recommend this firm.

Professional and reliable services from the initial survey and quotation through to following up the roofing job after completion. Communication with the team was very smooth and the team was responsive and committed to solving any problem that we had. For example, the contracts manager was on site almost immediately after we reported an issue with the scaffolding, and the workers came quickly to fix some broken tiles caused by the removal of the scaffold after the job. We were kept well informed of what was done to our roof the whole period. The workers were very patient and careful. We are happy with the service provided and will use the company again. Highly recommend.

We had a leak coming through the ceiling in our bathroom. The company located the likely source by using a drone to view the roof and recommended we get our flashing replaced. The work was carried out on time and we were even shown photos of our roof before and after the repair.
We are pleased with both the workmen doing the work and have had no problems since.

Reroofing of hundred year old terraced house. Started with the survey. Carried out on the date given and quote provided to time. From erection of scaffolding to removal job went to plan. Conscientious tradesmen consistently started at 08:00 worked away regardless of weather conditions. Contracts Manager provided point of contact who kept progress and quality under review.

Replacement of 3 Velux Windows. The work was carried out and completed efficiently and professionally; and also to programme. Fitters were punctilious in explaining things to us and sharing advice on how best to look after the windows. We had expected Shearer's to do a really good job and they did not let us down.

Replacement solar power operated Velux skylight.

The work was professionally and efficiently carried out with great care. The workmen were polite and pleasant and cleared everything away so that we had nothing to do before or afterwards! A great job well done!

Roof vent repair and renewal, following a leak during heavy rainfall.
Surveyor was more knowledgeable than competitors' personnel and more informative. The company provided a much more sensible and relevant quotation at a substantially lower price than the competition.

Repair to roof on extension where it joined the main building. Problems were quickly identified and repair was done without a hitch. Fitted us in during a busy period for roofers due to the frequent rainstorms this year.

Replace gutter and fascia/soffit on the front of the house.

All staff, including the estimator and the office staff, were pleasant and friendly. The workmen turned up on time, completed the work and cleared up afterwards. There had been numerous leaks from in and around the old guttering and now there are none.

J. Shearer Roofing replaced the roof on my property in December 2023. The work was completed to a high standard within an earlier timescale than initially quoted, and with a 10 year guarantee. The price was competitive. There was a storm a few days after the work was completed, causing one minor piece of damage. Shearers came out to the property the following day to make the repair. All staff were very courteous and pleasant both in the office and on site. Happy to recommend.
