Review a trader

Problem: Locking mechanism into 20year old door.
Tradesman was a gentleman and was courtious throughout. After explaining he could try to fix the mechanism if all parts were in working order he discovered some components were broken. Alternative was to replace with new locking mechanism. PO was placed before departing from our address.
Within 24hours tradesman telephoned to confirm new mechanism was available to be fitted. I welcomed tradesman next morning and within 20minutes the 20year old door operated as if new. 1st class tradesman worth consideration for all who find mechanical problems on doors/windows.

Patio door wouldn’t lock.
Found Barrhead lock and door online and sent a message and they were very quick at responding.

The repair was completed in under an hour, very cost effective, very friendly service, went the extra mile explaining some other issues with the door.

Patio door lock had jammed. A google search provided me with Barrhead Lock and Door company. A call, which was answered right away by David, who informed me he was in Glasgow but would head down once finished there. Under an hour later, David and Danielle arrived.

Less than an hour later, the lock mechanism stripped, reassembled and working as good as new and the runners on the door also oiled and working a treat. I mentioned that the front door sometimes was a wee bit temperamental. He had noticed and it was in his mind to quickly take care of it, which he duly did. It was also explained to me how to do some very basic maintenance which should be very helpful in future.

A great all round experience. Excellent work: very efficient and very friendly ( dog friendly too ). Highly recommend!

David reset porch door as it was not locking. As an additional service he re-attached a rainwater bar at bottom of door and sealed it. This was included in the very reasonable charge.
Would be my first port of call for any of the services he provides.

Garden Landscaping and Driveway.

Colin and his team were professional from start to finish. Colin got our quote to us quickly and took his time ensuring I was happy with the bricks and pavers they were using, sending samples and walking me through the process. When the work started Gordon and his team were amazing, such nice guys. They were on time, worked hard and changed the odd thing when I asked without complaint. They responded to all of my questions with professionalism and I felt that it wasn’t just another job, they wanted me to be completely satisfied with their work. Even my neighbours commented that they were impressed by their work ethic and minimal disruption. I’m so happy with my garden and driveway, I just need to try not to kill the new grass but I have been left with clear instructions and Gordon even offered to come and water it if I had to go away during the critical time. We will definitely use Anderson Landscaping for our next project, we know we can trust them to do a good job.

I cannot thank David enough! Locked myself out my flat with no access to my spare key and he came round within the hour past 7pm and was the most helpful and friendly trader Iv came across! Got me into the flat with no damage of locks or need for new keys! Can’t thank you enough!

A lock replacement on my door. The work was done promptly, quickly and efficiently.

Phil swapped out an old boiler and radiators, with the boiler being in a really awkward position. Everything was done in a couple of days, there was no damage to floors and dust was at a minimum. He did a cracking job and it's nice to have radiators that don't smell of tar and dust!
