Fitted TRVs to existing radiators and fitted some taps. Estimating process was quick and smooth. Was very flexible about start times since I was waiting for parts to be delivered. Turned up exactly when arranged and did a good job.

My Baxi boiler was due a sevice. The engineer was friendly, turned up promptly and worked quietly and cleanly. He only had to make a wee tweak to get the boiler as it should be, and he told me what he had found and how he fixed it.

I had a new boiler installed. I was told the job would take 2 days and that's what it did take. Stuart and John arrived bang on time on the specified date, worked hard all day both days and cleaned up behind them. Wouldn't have known they'd been here. They were very pleasant, very considerate and very helpful in terms of advising how to use the controls, future servicing and guarantees.

Thanks to Stuart and his team we now have a functioning heating system and a warm house after years of it not working properly . Stuart was easy to contact prompt with his diagnostics. We had been having problems with high electricity bills from our existing ASHP. Stuart of Total Energy Solutions came out and did a thorough investigation and could prove that our old system had not been installed correctly. The heat pump was close to the end of it’s useful working life because it had been working far too hard.
Stuart gave us a competitively priced quote to replace our old Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP for a new more efficient model. He presented his quote in a format that was able to be presented to Home Energy Scotland to apply for an interest free loan for the new installation. We were also able to get 40% cashback from the government on the total cost which really helped with our budget.
Stuart gave us our installation date one month in advance and arrived on the agreed day. We were quite anxious about having the work done but I can only applaud Stuart because it was carried out with the minimum of disruption. The new equipment was delivered direct from the manufacturer on the first day as organised. He also employed an electrician to arrive who also did a good job of running the new electrical cables that were previously missing. Stuart and his team didn’t leave any mess behind and took away the old equipment for disposal. They also made sure to wear face coverings while working in the main house. Most of the work was completed on the first day. We were very pleased because Stuart went over and above to stay on late to ensure that we were left with hot water for showering.
Stuart returned on the second day to tidy up all the electrical cabling, lag the pipe work inside and outside and finally to commission the new system.
Overall, I would highly recommend Total Energy Solutions. Stuart really understands renewables and organises his installations well.

Stuart and his team installed an air source heat pump for us. We got a few quotes and it was fairly priced and we were really happy with the work done. They finished things off to a high standard; above what was necessary for them. For example we had to have some of the wooden floors downstairs up and Stuart employed a joiner as part of it to ensure the floor was relaid properly. Things like that made a big difference to how our home was left afterwards and we would definitely recommend.

Managed to contact Stuart easily and made arrangements to have our boiler serviced. Professional and helpful. Will definitely use again.

We had a new boiler installed and they serviced our gas fire. The team worked from 8am to 6.30pm solidly and the quote supplied was competitive. They were polite and did an excellent job. I would certainly recommend them.

Less than a week into the Covid19 lockdown and our heating broke. Over the telephone, Stuart very helpfully talked me through trying to reset my oil boiler. He quickly worked out the fault and offered to come and fix it. All Covid19 precautions were clearly discussed before he arrived at the doorstep.
Within an hour my boiler was cleared and working.

Fault with boiler .. no heat or water and freezing conditions - snowing outside! Stuart came the same day, fixed the problem .. brilliant!

Boiler was completely off with no power to the heating and hot water Stuart tracked this down to a faulty hot water valve and replaced it within a day. Excellent service. Absolutely the best for customer service and worked carried out thank you Stuart.

We had a total bathroom refurbishment plus moving a kitchen radiator. Stuart Edwards was incredibly helpful from the outset, assisting us with planning and working closely with the City Plumbing Supplies team in Macmerry to ensure the new bathroom fixtures met our needs. The members of his team assigned to the job were excellent; three cheers for John and Stuart the joiner! John patiently took out the old bathroom, and together with the two Stuarts, expertly installed the new bathroom.

At every step of the way, the team was helpful, professional and good-humoured. Each day, the workspace was cleared to minimise disruption for our family, we received an update on tasks completed and plan for the following day. The work exceeded our expectations, carried out with an eye for design and attention to detail that we highly commend. All this was achieved within the time Stuart had assigned for the task.

Central heating boiler replaced. Friendly and efficient service. Turned up on time and very tidy workers. Came across an unexpected problem in the form of a wasps nest next to the header tanks resulting in a quick exit. Rearranged the work for a day or so later to help us out without any prompting. Our old boiler suddenly stopped working & leaking water on Saturday morning.

An emergency leak when the carpet fitter hit a pipe. Total Energy Solutions arrived within the hour and fixed it, without any issues. Very professional and helpful service. Great value for money and will definitely recommend.

This company was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. I needed an annual boiler check done for my elderly mum in Edinburgh and the appointment was suitably booked through Stuart who slotted us in with other Edinburgh clients.

John the engineer turned up prompt; cheery and polite and went on to do his job; now I’ve had another “well known” company attend to Mum’s boiler in the past and “never” once been advised that the decorative boarding on top of the boiler would need to be removed to conduct a full service as per the regulations... throughout the job; John answered any questions that were asked in a kind and informative way (where most tradesmen roll their eyes when a woman does this, must be the irritants??) he was exceptionally tidy and all in all, I and Mum felt absolutely confident and happy that an excellent service had been carried out... so I will definitely use this company again and will extend a recommendation to all those who read this, and will happily endorse to all the ladies out there that worry about such trades men; not too... perfect professional gents :-)

The company did a last minute call out for me when my boiler stopped working!! Having tried around 5 different companies, stuart was fast to respond and made sure he got to me on the day. Total Energy Solutions have just replaced our old boiler and we are thoroughly delighted with the work Stuart and John have done. From the very first stage of estimating the work we were impressed with Stuart’s analysis of what the problems were with the old boiler as many rooms did not get any heat as it is a big house. A detailed estimate was given within days and the work was carried out efficiently with due care and attention. They were incredibly tidy workers with minimal disruption and all work was done to a very high standard. The electrician who supported the installation was also superb and very thorough. We are delighted with the end product and for the first time in ten years the house is warm! I would recommend Stuart highly!

Excellent service from Stuart when I needed an emergency plumber on a Saturday. New shower was required and installed a few days later which included the need for an electrician due to a faulty switch. We had Stuart and John round to do quite a few jobs in and around our house. Stuart did a quote for the work which we felt was very reasonable and better value than a different quote from another company. They fitted a new boiler, installed new kitchen sink, fitted outside tap, checked and replaced parts on radiators, and replaced 2 radiators. They also installed a new toilet, a new shower unit and new pop-up waste bathroom sink. The joiner Stuart that worked with them also did a great job in finishing off the kitchen cupboards nicely. After a month, everything works smoothly and perfectly so we are more than happy with the service Stuart and his team at Total Energy Solutions provide. Would highly recommend and we'll be using them again for any heating / plumbing work in the future.

To replace an existing hot water tank and all associated pipe work with a new closed system tank and pipe work, including! valves, etc. To replace the electric shower with one that could connect to this system and sort out the electric works. To add some shelves within the cupboard above the new hot water tank.

Stuart and his team were fantastic! They were very patient with me and my barrage of questions before the job had even started!

As I said to them, I have no clue about water works, electricity or gas so needed someone who I could trust to give me an honest straight answer. This all started because in our house the hot water tap pressure relies on gravity so as the tank upstairs is at the same level as the taps upstairs, the water is like a trickle out of the taps.

On the day of the work to be carried out, they arrived as said and worked what felt like a solid 12 hour day! (For which he duly apologised for but I was very grateful for!) They then came back the next day and finished off the shelving in the cupboard, sorted out a washer on the taps (because now the water pressure is stronger one of the taps was now dripping) and went round and checked all the radiators were working again and back to normal.

The chap who fitted the shower and the shelving in the cupboard (sorry I didn't get his name!) was great too, very polite and courteous. I have used TES before to service my boiler but this was a much more major job and outlay. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Eight radiators replaced upstairs and downstairs, radiators raised to the required height above floor, where necessary, retention of heat keeper panels behind existing radiators.  System flushed through to confirm work completed: Stuart's company is local, he and his workers are well qualified and broadly experienced.  They have a no nonsense, but friendly, approach and take pride in completing their work well.  Quotations supplied competed effectively with other suppliers from further afield.  One arrangement only was made to complete the work on the day stated and this was carried out with no delay.

Old Baxi boiler replaced by new Combi system: Some of the workmen worked more than their normal hours so that the new system was up and running that same day.  At times I had to remind them to stop for a tea break.

Replace WC inlet value, investigate plumbing issue and repair sink tap in house next door: Very good value.  Job done on time and to a high standard.  Friendly service.  Will definitely use again in future.
