This is the 3rd job I’ve had done from Tom knight and son plumbers and to be honest they get better every time. It’s good to know good plumbers you can trust.
Lewis (Toms son) gave us an estimate, which I agreed to the same day he was very quick to response a few days later he was in taking tiles off, shower out and fitting taps.
Tom then came along a day later with his joiner to fit wall boards, new shower and shower screen.

Tom knight and son ( Lewis ) were on time, explained everything. If I had any questions they took the time and nothing was a problem!
They were that good we have them giving us an estimate for our en suite!

I contacted Tom Knight and Son to plumb in my washing machine and install my tumble dryer. They came back to me with a very prompt response and arranged to install this the same day it was delivered. They were on time and ensured that they took all the necessary steps with regards to PPE ensuring the safety of both myself and them.They brought coverings for the worktops and floors ensuring there was no damage where they were placing tools. After my ceiling in my living room fell through on me full of water I panic called Tom Knight and Son and I honestly cannot fault the service and help they gave me. Within a couple of hours Lewis came round and sourced where the water was coming from (my toilet was leaking upstairs) and by the morning the next day I had a new toilet. We recently employed the services of Tom Knight & Son to remove an old cast iron bath and replace with a large shower enclosure, create a utility area for a washing machine and tumble dryer, plumb in a dishwasher and install an outside tap. We have had a shower replaced after booking the work just before the Covid Lockdown. My wife and I moved into a new Persimmons home in Haddington and the shower cubical was so small that when I dropped the soap I had to go out to retrieve it.

When I asked them first if they could cap off the gas so as we could have an electric hob that job was done very quickly.

Lewis changed a cold towel warmer in my bathroom for a fabulous hot radiator. This has transformed the bathroom making it a warm haven. Bath replaced with walk in shower. We were hardly aware we had workmen in our house since all work was carried out efficiently and to a very high standard with the bathroom left clean and tidy and ready for use.

Replaced shower thermostat and restored water pressure to the house. Tom Knight & Son were excellent, they came when they said they would, kept me advised of what needed done and how much it would cost and carried out the work quickly and efficiently. Lewis replaced my combi boiler. This was not a straightforward process and involved ingenuity and a problem solving approach. He completed the work to an exceptionally high standard moulding and bending pipes to fit beautifully into the space. I was delighted to see the obvious pride that he hadn't taken in his work especially as I have an integrated kitchen where everything fits neatly. He completed the work in a day and left the place so neatly I was amazed and very grateful. I appreciated being able to phone to learn how to use the boiler rather than wade through the detailed manual!

Downstair wet room & upstairs bathroom refitted

We had been wanting our ensuite done for ages, but hadn't realised that Tom & Lewis (who fitted and service our bolier) also fitted bathrooms. In fact they project managed the whole thing ensuring that joiners, painters, plasterers and electricians turned up as required, with the whole project from start to finish taking just under 2 weeks.

Tom and Lewis are easy to deal with and highly professional (and they tidy up after themselves before they leave, even giving the new ensuite a bit of a spruce!). Highly recommended.

Lewis also found the perfect kitchen taps to replace my ancient dripping ones. Lewis came out to look at my shower, which only gave lukewarm water, never hot. He advised replacing the shower, and took a lot of trouble measuring the exact holes in my wet wall so that he could get the same fittings to avoid any damage. He and Tom arrived promptly on the day, and had the whole job done in an hour with no mess at all. I am delighted with the result, and they are coming back in a couple of weeks to repair an issue with my boiler. I have contacted Tom Knight & Son to inspect my new gas central heating installation done by another contractor. They have produced a very detailed and professional survey report finding major errors. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed and grateful for their intervention as my property was at risk because of the previous contractor’s work. Tom and Lewis installed a full new central heating system for me with all new radiators and boiler. The price was the best of the three quotes I got by quite a margin, and included the joinery and roofing etc that was also needed. Those contractors were all coordinated by the Knights. I was looking for quite a complicated set up of controllers and it is a very old house with a few challenges such as lead pipes to replace.

Lewis has been out a number of times to quote and do various jobs for our new house. We have always found him and his dad very friendly, polite, helpful and when we’ve asked for advice they help there too. Lewis came out to service our gas boiler and hob, the boiler was fine but our hob wasn’t safe and failed the safety tests (it pays to get hobs checked) Lewis came back out and fitted our new hob as soon as we had purchased one. Hope this is helpful.

This involved taking back to bare shell, moving sink thereby changing all plumbing, changing all lighting and electrical, moving cooking facilities and removing door. Tom project managed all the work, hired all other tradesmen and ensured everything was completed to highest satisfaction.

New shower units in both en-suites and heated towel rails in all bathrooms.  Also removed bath to re-model en-suite: Tom and Lewis are fantastic!  They have done 2 separate jobs for us now and we honestly wouldn't use anyone else.  Lewis kept in touch at all times and couldn't have been more polite or helpful.  Fantastic and definitely highly recommended.

2 separate pieces of work in bathroom and kitchen: Having used Tom Knight previously, all expectations were met.  Arrived when he said, did as he said, pleasant, courteous and tidy.  No hesitation in using again.  Thank You.

Supply and replace bathroom shower.  Supply and fit pressure valve in the attic: Once again a good job done by the tradesmen.  Work was of a high quality.  What more can you say except very well done and thanks.
