I contacted TKS to help us with two issues. One being a fault with our water tank which was causing water to leak out an external pipe and us to lose hot water. The other being a leaking downstairs WC.

From the get go Lewis was quick to respond. He requested some pictures of the water tank so he could source parts which was great as meant it saved time and no extra visits. As soon as he had the parts he was here to fit them. Lewis also suggested and carried out a service of the water tank which is not something we had thought about so was appreciated. The work was carried out quickly and to a high standard. We were also happy with the cost of the works completed.

I would thoroughly recommend Lewis and TKS and won't hesitate to use them again in the future.

When carrying out our annual boiler service, Lewis identified some parts that would not likely last for another 12 months and suggested having them replaced before they caused any issues. Soon afterwards we received all the information we needed to make a decision, being the parts being replaced, the cost of the job as well as when it could be completed. After ripping out a kitchen, bathroom and ancient water tanks, Lewis came in and fitted the new bathroom as well as repiping washing machine and kitchen.

The actual work was fantastic - clean, quick and high quality. Lewis was always clear in communicating what was happening and what needed to happen, which was really helpful when managing the work myself. He was also very reliable, always coming when it had been arranged in advance.

Lewis Knight has been round a few times to sort out problems and he's always on time, very efficient and very tidy. This time he used detective skills to get to the bottom of a persistent leak in the hall ceiling, which had been intermittent for a very long time. We had assumed it was the shower, but he discovered it was an issue with the water tank. He fixed it really quickly and then came back to replace damaged plasterboard on the ceiling. Great job, top man.

So last week my son accidentally dropped the ceramic dish that holds the toothbrushes in our sink and cracked a big hole in it.

After a leak from the water pipe in my hall cupboard soaked through to the neighbour downstairs, Lewis helped to fast diagnose the problem based on photos I texted him, ordered the part and fitted it quickly. He kept me regularly updated while waiting for the part, fixed the problem fast, and even quickly repaired a troublesome leaky tap in the kitchen at no extra cost, which was much appreciated. Lewis also adhered to current virus restrictions, wearing a mask the whole time he worked. Would highly recommend Tom Knight and Son who upgraded and revamped a tired bathroom to make it so much more user friendly. Installed a walk in shower instead of bath, and integrated mobility aids to assist in safe use. On latest occasion was simply replacing a split washer. Lewis always comes exactly when he says he will and even tried to remedy the problem via text messages over Christmas!

Replacing the flush syphon of a WC.

The trader made two visits; the first for assessment and the second after waiting for the supply of a part, taking about 10 days in all. He kept me well informed throughout, and was very helpful in explaining what was involved, and what decorative work would remain for me to arrange afterwards (which I did myself).

I consider that the charge was very reasonable, and the work has been carried out to my complete satisfaction.

This is the 3rd job I’ve had done from Tom knight and son plumbers and to be honest they get better every time. It’s good to know good plumbers you can trust.
Lewis (Toms son) gave us an estimate, which I agreed to the same day he was very quick to response a few days later he was in taking tiles off, shower out and fitting taps.
Tom then came along a day later with his joiner to fit wall boards, new shower and shower screen.

I contacted Tom Knight and Son to plumb in my washing machine and install my tumble dryer. They came back to me with a very prompt response and arranged to install this the same day it was delivered. They were on time and ensured that they took all the necessary steps with regards to PPE ensuring the safety of both myself and them.They brought coverings for the worktops and floors ensuring there was no damage where they were placing tools. After my ceiling in my living room fell through on me full of water I panic called Tom Knight and Son and I honestly cannot fault the service and help they gave me. Within a couple of hours Lewis came round and sourced where the water was coming from (my toilet was leaking upstairs) and by the morning the next day I had a new toilet. I felt very reassured and content with all the information I was given and very happy with the price on my invoice I was given.
I will definitely be having Tom Knight and Son back for further work in the future for my bathroom and shower room renovations.

We recently employed the services of Tom Knight & Son to remove an old cast iron bath and replace with a large shower enclosure, create a utility area for a washing machine and tumble dryer, plumb in a dishwasher and install an outside tap. They arrived promptly, carried out the work efficiently, were extremely clean and tidy and their quote was competitively priced. We were delighted with the work and would definitely recommend Tom Knight & Son and already plan to use them again to form an en-suite bathroom.

My wife and I moved into a new Persimmons home in Haddington and the shower cubical was so small that when I dropped the soap I had to go out to retrieve it.
This is where Tom Knight and son came into the picture.
When I asked them first if they could cap off the gas so as we could have an electric hob that job was done very quickly.
We asked them if a better shower could be added and they said that a bigger and better shower cabinet and fixings could be fitted.
They removed the old tiles and fitted a fantastic new one.
What a difference, these plumbers are simply wizards, what a transformation.
