Completed a big job very well. Perhaps could have done with a labourer to assist. We made one or two small changes which Mark took in his stride.

Mark created a good raised bed (in very difficult soil and a difficult shape), repaired a fenced bin area, fitted a new garden gate and built new fencing for us. He was patient, punctual and well-organised throughout the process, making the most of limited resources and a fairly demanding client!! He did a good job, was great at getting back to us promptly and we plan to use him again for more gardening work.

Excellent service from Mark at Muddy Boots. Was very detailed about the work to be performed and knowledgeable. Good at adapting materials to the needs of my garden. I am delighted with my new fence and raised plant bed.

Mark was employed to replace the fences in our front and back gardens. The front was completed last year and we are absolutely delighted with the work he carried out. We agreed that as it was getting late in the year the larger back fence would be left until the spring. This is where the reliability issue comes in. We were given an early estimate of end of March/April and then a confirmed date which was moved twice. He has failed to contact me again to provide any further update so we had to cancel him.
Excellent at what he does but communication and commitment to timescale let him down.

Mark was prompt at getting back to me regarding a quote for the work to be carried out.
I agreed to the quote for installing a gate and clearing a small piece of ground, putting down membrane chips and a raised bed. However the work was very rushed which equates to it costing £50 an hour and of very poor quality and finish.
I would not recommend Muddy Boots and have arranged for another person to finish the job to an acceptable quality.

The trader has replied to the comments as follows:We want to apologise first of all to the reviewer if she feels at all let down.
Our normal standard of work is very high and we pride ourselves on this.
The positive reviews on this site speak for themselves.
We do dispute the comments regarding the hourly rate, I quoted £450 for the job and was on site over 16 hours in total over 4 days.
I always strive to keep in touch with my customers and if a job is going to take longer I may need to reschedule a job back in.
I feel my reviews speak for themselves as I am committed to my customers and most of my review are 5 stars.
Please accept my apologies on this occasion.
