Following a kitchen refurbishment I needed a new radiator fitted in that room. It was a relatively minor job but not without complications. I first tried British Gas as I have a boiler maintenance contract with them but the plumber they sent out declined to quote for the job. I contacted Alan Lumsden due to noting his excellent feedback and am more than happy to add to it. He is a gentleman and did a fantastic job with the minimum of fuss. He will without doubt be my first port of call if I need a plumber in the future.

Boiler was not working. I had no heating or hot water. Mr Lumsden attended within a few hours of my phone call. He found the problem and fixed the boiler there and then. I was very pleased with the service and efficiency provided. I was also pleased with the cost and would definitely recommend him.

Alan knows his stuff and has done a wide range of projects for us, including updating a double-boiler system, adding and removing radiators, switching a gravity tank system to mains water pressure, and much more. We're always happy with the quality of his work, the reasonable prices, his expertise and honest advice.

Alan and Co had a tricky job to do on a bathroom refurbishment for us in a 1910s house. As well as the usual issues of compatibility with older systems, he had to contend with a damaged unit, late deliveries from suppliers and co-ordination with other trades. All of which extended the time of work but he and the lads worked late days to finish it off and we are very pleased with the end result. Job well done!

Alan was highly professional. His work is to a very high standardH e fitted a shower in our family bathroom, supplied an excellent and fitted an outdoor tap.
Alan always arrived on time, was very clean, tidy and communicated with us continually, telling us what he was doing and even helped to increase the water pressure.
He was friendly and amenable and we would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Alan fixed a small leak in a water pipe in a cupboard and also a faulty cistern.
He responded very promptly to my message asking him to visit despite us not having used him before.
He visited promptly, communicated well with us and showed us his i.d. on arrival.

Repair to a cistern that was slow filling and unreliable flush.
This was a scheduled visit and the plumber arrived on the agreed date and time.
The repair was completed the same day, and the plumber was pleasant, efficient, very tidy, took the time to explain what the fault was and show the defective part before disposal, and the repair was very reasonably priced.
I would certainly use this business again.
Highly recommended.

I found the plumber who called to be highly professional, reliable, and considerate as he dealt with the fault.
within an hour of requesting a visit, the plumber was on-site, explained what the repair involved, was meticulously tidy during, and on completion of the repair, was very pleasant and helpful, and the final cost was very reasonable given the effort and time spent at the premises.
I would have no hesitation in calling this business again if I required any plumbing works carried out.

Fitted replacement control box for a digital shower which had developed a fault.
Had had difficulty getting a tradesman presumably because it was a relatively straightforward job and would not take much time. He came promptly, was easy to get on with, put down a dust sheet and left no upset, and tested the shower to make sure it was now working correctly.
Would recommend him to others and contact him again in future.
