Matthew wasn’t pushing for work or trying to get us signed up for services we didn’t require. He was clearly about delivering good quality advice to support our plans. Matthew prepared drawings and plans for our Kitchen/Dining room extension.
On our behalf, he applied and obtained planning permission and a building warrant from the council.
He then gave us a list of local builders and advised us to get three budget estimates before choosing one for the job.
He also provided us with contacts details in order for us to obtaim quotes from structural engineers,
He made site visits and sent photos to Building Standards at each stage of the development.
I would not hesitate to recommend Matthew to anyone requiring architectural services.

Two projects:
Help with navigating the certification of the final part of a Building Regulation process for a new house build in Tayport, with Fife Council;
A successful retrospective Planning Application for an amended garage roof, again with Fife Council.
The value of this work in terms of construction cost exceeded £25,000, as he provided assistance with the difficult on-line links with the Council his fee was modest.
He was very conversant with current regulations, provided the information required promptly, and was very clear in understanding what was needed.
He was very patient in his responses and worked in a thoroughly professional manner. He was also a pleasant person to work with.

I required a retrospective building warrant at short notice as selling my house and required it before completion date. I was extremely stressed not knowing the procedures with limited time to get it through. Matt Archer instantly put my mind at rest, saving me worry and stress leading up to my house sale. He is very easy going and approachable but when it comes to achieving his and your aims he is very professional minded and understands the process. He charges a fair rate for good work and I have already recommended him to my neighbour.

Matt was great and guided us through the process of getting a building warrant to knock down an internal partition wall in our flat. He worked quickly to draw up the necessary plans and paperwork for the application, and then fielded all the questions from the council. He also helped us get quotes from structural engineers, and gave advice about hiring tradespeople to actually do the job.

We asked Matthew to draw up some plans of our attic, with a view to converting it. He was friendly, reliable, listened well to our ideas and worked hard to give us a selection of drawing to choose from. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Matthew worked with us on our new workshop project to further develop appropriate plans and drawings and lodge these with the council for both Planning Permission and our Building Warrant. Communication was good throughout and all agreed work was completed within the quoted costs with Matthew being on the end of the phone to answer any questions that arose when required. Would definitely recommend Matthew.

Drawings for extension and garage conversation. All agreed time scales were met ahead of time and all plans went through first time . When we had a query from building control Mathew came out to confirm that the contractor had corrected the issue.
