Aberdeenshire Trusted Trader
The Aberdeenshire Trusted Trader scheme is a local business partnership scheme aimed at increasing consumer confidence, promoting good practice within local business, and helping protect citizens from doorstep crime.
Trading Standards Trusted Traders have been vetted by Aberdeenshire Trading Standards and the scheme is supported by Police Scotland and consumeradvice.scot (a part of Advice Direct Scotland).
All Trusted Traders have agreed to trade fairly and sign-up to a Code of Practice.
The Code covers:
- transparent procedures for quoting and carrying out work
- only charging a fair and reasonable price
- dealing with complaints promptly
Help support the scheme by reviewing any Trusted Traders you have used.
If you are a local business that would like to be showcased to Aberdeenshire residents, or you are aware of a small business who you think would benefit from Trusted Trader membership and have a minimum of six months clean trading history, then please direct them to our online application form.
Aberdeenshire Trading Standards also operate a directory list of businesses with known compliance issues. None of these are vetted Trusted Traders, and the current focus is on Roofing Businesses who have generated customer complaints or have verified compliance issues that need resolving.
