We moved in recently and established there was water ingress at the chimney. It looked to me like the flashing had failed. We had been given a couple of contacts, but they failed to respond. My Wife noted Old Plean Roofing van across the way from us. We checked them out, glad to see they were SCOTSS approved.
I phoned, explained the situation, was told they were busy but would have someone contact me in the week. I was impressed by the professionalism of the office staff.
Mark visited as per I was told, he inspected the problem and he was very frank. Told me we had a really good roof and not to let anyone tell me different. I knew I could do business with this man. I asked about taking the chimney below the roof apex and hav eit tiled over. I was told if the chimney was not in use then this was the best solution. Mark said he'd get a quote to me asap. It was received an hour after his inspection, superb service.
The quote was very detailed and outlined all terms & conditions. We accepted and made the appropriate deposit.

Only a few days later due to a gap in their schedule we were asked if they could proceed with the repair. Absolutely delighted, the two lads who did the job were every bit as professional as the office staff. Included saying to my neighbour they would be on the roof and suggested they move their car to avoid mishaps as there may be loose debris. They worked diligently and were very courteous. The job was done by the end of the day. Apologised they would need to come back to dismantle the scaffolding.
I have dealt with the building trades for decades in my line of work, like evry profession there is good and bad. Old Plean Roofing is excellent and we would recommend them to anyone. We will also not hesitate to engage them in the future.

Job completed to my complete satisfaction a big plus was that they tidied the site up on the day of completion. Excellent service.

This was the second time I've used OPR and once again they did a great job sorting a small roof leak and a guttering problem above our garage.
The two workers who arrived were polite and courteous and did the job quickly and efficiently.

An efficient survey or roof (with photos) to identify work required. A tidy and hard-working group of men undertook the work and returned to correct one minor omission. Felt like dealing with a reputable firm and not a group of cowboys - quite common in the area. Very happy.
