The soffit and roof was replaced . My first contact with John was when my soffit fell apart in strong winds. He did a temporary repair at the time and then discussed quoting for repairing the soffit against replacing the complete roof. We then agreed a price to replace the roof which was guaranteed while I was on the company’s waiting list. They also went over and above when the roof repair needed was more than originally expected but did not charge any more than quote. They were very reliable and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends.

Mr New replaced a dormer flat roof to our bathroom having already carried out a temporary fix during wet weather when it began to leak. I would highly recommend his services. Excellent communication, tidy work, very knowledgeable and reasonably priced.

John and the team did an excellent job repairing a storm-damaged outbuilding roof. The initial quote was done in a very businesslike way. Once work was underway, the team always turned up on time and everyone worked very efficiently. They were all very polite and friendly and they were no trouble to have around. The work was done to a high standard and the team left everything very tidy when they finished. We would certainly recommend Matthew New & Sons and we intend to use them again for other roofing work.

Having solar panels complicated the job but the company just worked around them and produced a first class job which has resulted in several of my neighbours asking for the contractors details.

I have used this company a number of times. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They are very helpful and do a good job. Nothing seems to be a bother and I could leave them to go ahead, and they have always cleared up after they were finished.

Job 1.
The overall quality of the work was excellent.
The diagnosis of the problem from internal leaks, was thorough & accurate. The price quote for velux windows solution & related works was competitive. The supply of the windows etc, was well organised. On site the work was done efficiently. Given that the old windows had to come out & roof/ tile work sorted, the work mess & disruption was dealt with well. There have been no problems with leaks since.

The windows work well and look good from inside & out.

Job 2
Storm damage resulted in substantial part of pitched roof of garage being torn off.
The initial response was prompt, and emergency cover was quickly dealt with even though as it was an insurance claim requiring quotes there was no guarantee of getting the job.
The quality of the roof cover, and the installation work in continuing bad weather , were excellent. The roof has proved to very effective with no problems.

In both jobs, the clean up & removal of all debris was prompt and thorough, and inclusive to the agreed price.
