Business Information
My name is John Mullan and I'm a retired fire officer with 30 years' service and an additional 16 years as a Building and Facilities Manager in Glasgow's City Park.
I import, sell and fit interlinked smoke and fire detectors conforming to Scottish Government regulations introduced in February 2022 and now required in all homes by law. Insurance companies also invariably have a clause in the policy to the effect that the property complies with Building Regulations, within which the new regulations are included.
These radio frequency alarms are installed at very reasonable prices, typically £140 to £175, without mess or the need for expensive electrical work, and usually within a day or two of ordering. I'm happy to give an estimate on the phone and can take calls between 9.00am and 9.00pm.
Please see my reviews. I have never had a customer who was dissatisfied with my work or prices, and regularly receive referrals from them for friends and neighbours.

I had a faulty fire/smoke alarm. John, a retired senior fireman, fitted new alarms quickly, then synchronised and tested them with clear instructions. Value for money, excellent service, highly recommend him, very professional.

John came to fit alarms in line with the new Scottish Legislation Requirements in my home. He was professional, approachable and efficient. He came to look at my flat and was able to fit them there and then. I found the whole process simple and easy to understand and John was very professional. Mr Mullan was recommended to me by a friend and in turn I have recommended him to two friends. I found Mr Mullan had a very cheery personality and was very efficient when carrying out his work. His explanation of how the alarms worked was very easy to understand.

I responded to a flyer put through my door. When I was ready to install the new type smoke alarms, I phoned. I spoke with John Mullan right away - I didn't have to leave a message and he had time the same day. He explained the product, the service offered and the cost. He was at my door well within the time he said he would be there. He explained what he was going to do, what he was doing and what the procedures were regarding the product. He was genuine, knowledgeable and very kind. And he introduced me to the benefits of Trusted Trader which I'll make use of.
