We specialise in both indoor and outdoor lighting installation and associated lighting design. Additionally, we provide all domestic and commercial electrical services, from changing a simple light switch or installing new power sockets to complete smart home installations.
As a service, we also offer a one-stop shop design and installation service. With all trades available on the team and a fully qualified Interior designer to let loose on your ideas. From a new Kitchen or Bathroom to lounge leisure lighting or a spectacular outdoor system.
Accredited by Aico alarm systems as an expert installer for fire and Carbon Monoxide detectors and by both Ring and Nest for smart home automation.

Plug socket replaced and 3 lights fitted. One of the lights was extremely awkward to fit due to the placement of the supporting screws.
Dave overcame the problem by perseverance and the result was very pleasing.

David removed the old consumer box and fitted a new one and tested the system his work was to a very high standard.
Any electrical work I need done in the future will be with Appleby Electrics, apart from the excellent work David had done he arrived at the time that was agreed and cleaned up at the end of the job the cost for the job was very reasonable. Anybody needing electrical work done should get Appleby Electrics.

Needed a new bathroom extractor fan supplied and fitted, plus the replacement of the living room ceiling light which was well past its sell by date.
Found Appleby Electrics was near to me in Leven. My enquiry was answered very quickly and a time agreed to visit. Dave turned on time as agreed and quickly replaced my ceiling light. The extractor fan was more of a job, however it was done quickly and without fuss.
Dave was a lovely person and nice to chat too, yet got the jobs done quickly and for a reasonable price.

Dave changed the consumer unit and also brought the flat up-to-date for the latest legislation for holiday lets in Fife. Although there was only a small window to get everything done, he fitted us in promptly and also he was aware that there were guests in the property. He gave us a choice of times, which would suit the guests. He arrived and completed all the work. He also gave us loads of advice.
He has such a pleasant, understanding manner, and was polite to ourselves and the guests, so much so, he is our go-to electrician from now on. HIs professionalism, care and quality of work was excellent..

Replaced faulty light switch and fitted new Led compliant light for wet room.
Excellent job, friendly and knowledgeable, gave advice for future and completed tasks without any fuss. The light transforms the bathroom and is now safe and appropriate for its environment.
Will definitely use this trader again for future work as I am delighted with his work and the cost incurred.

Needed paperwork to show electrical work done on a new extension was compliant and safe (after electrician who had done the work disappeared with payment but without certifying his work!). Dave arrived when he said he would, told me what he was about to do, told me what needed to be fixed (and the cost) and did it! No fuss, clear explanations and honest/polite with it. Bonus was it didn't cost what I had thought it was likely to! Genuine guy who I would recommend to anyone needing an electrician, and will be my first port of call for anything electrical in the future.

I used the Trusted Trader website to try to find a good and reliable electrician at short notice. Dave was extremely helpful from the off and was able to attend almost immediately, which was very much appreciated. The job was top notch and Dave also offered me extensive guidance over a number of other matters that were of concern to me. Very friendly guy and very willing to help. I plan to use Dave in the future as it is always difficult to find trades people who offer the good service that he did.

Absolutely first class service, had a few jobs around the house needing fixing, ceiling lights, extractor fan, cooker hood lights, coming back next week to install security light in drive. Dave is honest, professional and friendly guy, would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Very pleased with the service provided by David and would certainly use him again. He responded very quickly to my request to replace a failing fluorescent tube in a bathroom light and was willing to try several suppliers to source a replacement. Decided to go with an LED alternative which he was able to fit immediately. Work was completed quickly and tidily. Very reasonably priced.

We had an issue with a faulty shower switch and a persistent burning smell when in use. Dave was exceptionally prompt in getting to us and fixing the issue. Even after we had problems with the faulty replacement switch, he came out at no extra cost straight away to get it returned and replaced. Highly recommended and will definitely be using Appleby Electrics again in the future!
