We had the A team who worked through very difficult conditions to get the work done as efficiently and speedily as possible. All work was on budget.

This summer's project was the third and final leg of a complete tenement roof renovation involving six slated slopes and the complete recovering of the flat central section. W&S Christie has traditionally carried out the maintenance and our stair has stayed with them for the duration. As co-ordinator I have been impressed by many aspects, which include a good working relationship with management and employees, quality of materials, quality of workmanship and sensitivity to customers' requirements including leaving the site tidy on completion. The finished job has withstood the test of severe rainfall soon afterwards and the skills, both artisitc and technical, of the main on-site team have been most impressive - an example is attached in the photo. I would have no hesitation in recommending W&S Christie.

The main roof of my 19th Century farmhouse was replaced by Christies as well as the north facing half of the roof on a side extension. I thought the work they did was excellent and done with care and attention to detail. I am really pleased with the result and would definitely recommend them.

As anyone who has been through this will know - its a stressful activity to arrange and get the work done. We had a great experience with WS Christie and their Lead specialist and cant thank them enough for guiding us and getting us through this process.
The root cause of our issues were the main outlet only being 40mm diameter which is totally inadequate for the heavy rains. The whole gulley between the roofs and Cupola had lead replaced and the drain widened.

We ended up going for the much more expensive Lead option - Couple of reasons its listed Building (so you have to technically but a lot of folk dont). I would have felt a clown if got leaks after installing felt like you put on a roof of a garden shed.

We had a chimney/roof leak and blocked guttering in a tenement. We were provided with a competitive and very thorough quotation, including photographs of the problem. We had excellent communication with both the office and the on-site contractors. Despite access problems that were outwith the control of the company but required a repeat visit, they adhered to the original quote. Excellent service.

Christies did work to replace a rotten roof on my kitchen utility room. After the initial investigation it became became clear that it was a bigger job than just the roof as the ceiling and fittings needed to be renewed. Christies organised all the different elements for me and made the whole thing much less stressful for me at a time when everything is out of the ordinary. The roofers, carpenters, fitters, plasterers, electricians and plumbers have all been cheerful, careful and considerate while I’ve been working from home. I am happy to recommend them.

We have used Christie Roofing for full rhone replacement and down pipe repair, and for general roof repairs over the past 4 years. We've found them to be completely dependable and hard working. The roofers have a high level of technical expertise and we would use them again.

Gutter realigned and roofing felt taken over and resealed. Work was held up due to lockdown but done immediately regulations were eased. The quality was of a high standard as far as I can judge from 3 stories down but photos were taken which show how neatly and tidily it was done. Overall, we are very pleased - the same firm did the whole of our roof more than 30 years ago and it has stood up to the ravages of time and weather and appears to be still in sound condition.

This wasn't a big repair but a difficult one as there were 11 owners sharing the repair.

The chaps from W&S Christie replaced some tiles that had blown off in the storms in Jan 2020 and cleared the gutters. They arrived on time, and carried out the work efficiently leaving no mess behind. I asked for photos of the finished work, which were provided. All in all, an excellent job.

Ian at W & S Christie was extremely patient with us as we had to discuss the repairs with all the 12 owners of the flats in the block, most of which are let so this involved contacting agents etc and took a very long time
The work was done efficiently and with the minimum of upset to those who live here. The workmen were always pleasant & helpful.

Mutual repairs to tenement: chimneys rendered; roof overhaul.

Without the helpful attitude of Christies Roofing, our tenement works simply would not have happened. Extremely accommodating and helpful vis a vis the Council's 'missing share' service, over very drawn-out period.

As regards the works themselves, very professional and responsible staff who gave a good account of their firm and made a real effort to make sure we were happy with the final result. What a relief!

W&S Christie have carried out our tenement's annual roof inspection for a number of years now. They are extremely pleasant, come when they say they will come and always do an excellent job. We will be using them next year as usual.
