W&S Christie's recently completed an extensive roofing project on our tenement flat, and we couldn't be happier with the result.

The work was significant in scope: replacing the felt on a major flat roof area, various repairs to the chimneys, refurbishment of a cupola, painting the downpipes, and clearing out the gutters.

Having spoken to several different roofers before choosing Christie's, they stood out immediately for their customer service. Project managing a job of this scale on behalf of my neighbours felt like a daunting responsibility, but every query was met with clarity, professionalism, good humour and a prompt, thorough response. It's quite possibly the best customer service I've experienced from a contractor!

Ian managed everything to a very high standard throughout, and when any minor issues were identified, solutions were provided with a genuine can do attitude.

We were kept regularly updated with photos and payment requests were made in a timely and reasonable manner.

The workmanship itself was of a very high standard, and the men on site were always reliable and professional. This is an excellent company that clearly wants to deliver an exceptional job and service — I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending or using them again.

Fantastic service from the start. We had a few roofers let us down and I enquired to W&S Christie Roofing through trusted trader for multiple missing slates. They were so understanding, Katrin was very friendly and helpful and managed to get someone out and quote for my roof with a few days, quote came in the next and job done by the start of the week. It all happened before I went on holiday. A massive relief.

They replaced old and leaking cast iron gutters. They came when they said and cleared everythig away afterwards. Very good.

I had a roof report done prior to moving in to my new home, they gave a very detailed report on the state of the roof (overall very good, just a few missing slates), and I also had them come back and replace those slates. Very reasonable prices, quick to respond and workers showed up on time and were professional and respectful of my property. 10/10 highly recommend.

W&S Christie Roofing recently did some repair work to a chimney which was allowing water to fall down the old chimney shaft so making our dining room wall damp in places.

The site was not easy to reach because of our conservatory and required difficult scaffolding, some of which had to be erected in our neighbour's garden. W&S Christie organised the erection and removal of the scaffolding ensuring we were fully consulted on suitable dates for the work. The timings of the roofers and lead specialist were also arranged with us.
We are very pleased with the quality of the work done and the excellent commun ications with us which ensured minimnal disruption.

In the past Christie's have completely re-slated the rear of my New Town property. This time it was a slipped slate and repair to cement flashing at the front. I was very happy with my dialogue with the office and subsequent repairs by experienced roofers and would be happy to recommend Christie's for any roofing work.

W&S Christie replaced a 50 year old large garage flat roof surface and completed the job early and in accordance with the quotation. They maintained excellent contact through the process and were a delight to have on our property with personable, pleasant, polite and accommodating staff. We have no hesitation in recommending their services.

W&S Christie is a brilliant company. Their quote to finish up two chimney rebuilds once the stonemason was done wasn't the cheapest, but this was fully justified by the service they give. Excellent communication, friendly and helpful guys on site (they pointed out a couple of important issues I needed to address while the scaffolding was up), and as far as I can tell, excellent workmanship.

You can tell what a company is like by how they react when things go wrong and it was a complicated project to schedule between Christie's and the stonemason. This led to some extra scaffolding costs. Christie's could have washed their hands of it but actually offered a very fair contribution. They even returned some money when I was oblivious to have overpaid them. Really impressed overall and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Work was carried out to a very high standard, all work and costs were explained clearly, and Ian kept us fully informed throughout. Though the final cost was higher than quoted, this was the result of 20+ years of neglect on our part, and we're just relieved finally to have the roof in good condition.

We had the harling replaced on a gable end chimney together with the leadwork around the chimney. Additionally we had a second chimney removed completely and boarded over.

The roofers worked in extremely cold weather to get the job finished for us as quickly as possible. They were conscientious, reliable and took a real pride in their work. They kept us informed of progress each day and asked for our opinion on items that affected the aesthetics of the job.

Proactive in keeping me up to date about the timing of the work. Reliable, turned up when expected; tidy. I appreciated the explanations of the work done and reassurance that there were no other underlying issues.

This was a significant piece of work involving refurbishing and replacing a major flat roof area, repairs to 8 chimneys (varying from wholesale rebuilding to some simple repair work), replacing aged and damaged slates, replacing skylights and a cupola along with cleaning out roans and gutters.

The work and coordination of the various trades was managed and delivered by W&S Christie’s to a very high standard at all stages of the project. They worked very collaboratively to identify issues, suggest solutions (particularly around flat roof options) and identify high quality contractors to deliver the project.

Because of the multi dimensional aspects of the job then they made sure the work was effectively managed providing frequent updates and answering questions, requests for information incredibly quickly. Any additional work identified was very quickly flagged up and solutions/options discussed similarly where savings were identified these too were flagged up and removed from the bill.

An excellent company to deal with who clearly wanted to provide an exceptional job and service. In terms of delivery to cost, quality and time then a job very well done. Would have absolutely no hesitation in using again.

The team of roofers were professionally skilled in every aspect of the work, taking down the old roof, checking timbers, replacing lead work and re-slating. The scaffolding was expertly put up and removed. The reroofing was altogether a job of a very high standard.
