Mitchell Roofing

Second time I've used Mitchell Roofing (first time was for a leaky gutter, this time for a leak in the roof due to a tile that wasn't sitting properly). Once again they were prompt in assessing and carrying out the work needing done, courteous and very reasonably priced. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend to others.

Jackie and the team went over and above to find the root cause of a leak at our property, returning multiple times in atrocious weather until they were certain they had addressed the issue. Their patience and professionalism is second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any roofing work.

I contacted Mitchell Roofing to request some small-scale domestic roof repairs. Jackie responded promptly and came round to view the property. He had a very professional manner and listened to what we were wanting. He soon got back to me with a written quote which clearly spelled out what work would be undertaken. The work itself was done with no fuss and to a high standard. I would certainly feel comfortable calling on them again.

Responsive and efficient coordination for arranging my new velux skylight windows. I appreciated Mitchell roofing’s explanation of everything and their promptness. When the windows were installed it only took two days. The final product is wonderful, the windows are beautiful and the temperature has changed completely in those rooms. The cost was better than other quotes I got. Very much happy with this job!

I used Mitchell Roofing previously in 2019 but did not leave a review - which I should have done. So, when I had a water mark in my ceiling, the first company I thought of to help was Mitchell Roofing. In 2019 I was very impressed by the excellent work they did on a shared roof at very competitive rates. I emailed on a Friday, they responded on a Sunday; and replaced broken/loose tiles on Monday. Would thoroughly recommend Mitchell Roofing if you need work done.

Mitchell Roofing carried out some minor works to our property which comprised of replacing badly broken slates and applying new cement mortar to 2 of our chimneys.
The work was carried out quickly and efficiently by both Jackie and Harry.

I truly cannot fault Jackie and his team. After covid lockdowns and a storm, he was the first of about 30 companies to come out and look at the flat roof of my tenement and provide an estimate for the repair. All was done extremely quickly, and at great value for money.
A year later and he has been out again two days after calling, has repaired flashing, and at no additional cost.
I am extremely grateful and would highly recommend Jackie and Mitchell Roofing to everyone looking for a decent, reliable and trustworthy company.

Had 2 chimneys removed and exposed roof re-slated, dormer flat roof stripped and re-layered, all 4 ridges removed and replaced with modern dry-fit system. Also all missing/slipped slates re-seated/replaced. Some minor repairs to existing cast iron rhones and down pipes also done.

From the moment Jackie and his brother Harry came round to survey the job I had "good vibes". I have had previous roofing work done on my property (totally different part of roof to current job) and actual roofers doing the job seemed much less experienced than the man who did the survey and prepared the quote. Jackie assured me he would be present on site every day during the work and indeed he was (sometimes for an hour or so; sometimes all day working with the rest of the team).

This company seems to be based around 2 brothers and their respective sons. All seem very capable roofers and clearly they all "pull in the same direction". Nothing was subcontracted except the scaffolding and even then the scaffolder told me later, when he returned to dismantle the scaffold that he had been doing scaffolding for the Mitchells for about 20 yrs. It says a lot to me that this is the case. This is not a "fly by night" set up.

Work was done to a very high standard. The whole team was always friendly and considerate. They tidied up at the end of each day and always kept me up to speed with the work as it progressed.

I cannot recommend this team (and I use that term rather than "company" deliberately as they do seem to be a true team; not just a bunch of semi-independent people) highly enough. Having had the work done I would not use any other roofers in the future.

The only thing I don't know is whether I could have got the work done more cheaply. I only got one quote (Mitchell's) and I went with that because it seemed more or less in line pro rata with what I paid several years ago and because the vibes seemed so good. Even if it could have been done a bit more more cheaply it would have had to have been one heck of an outfit to do the work any better. So overall I am more than satisfied.........generally speaking "you gets what you pays for". I had a good job done for what I consider a fair price.

The last job we had totally sorted a long-standing, but occasional, leak and was very competitively priced.

Repairs to roof. I had tried various firms who either failed to follow up after assessing the job or said they were too busy. Mitchell Roofing were recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. Excellent in every respect. Very professional. And the final bill was less than the original estimate!
