We recently had our second job completed by Lothian Paving and are again very pleased with the results. Previously Bart and his team had carried out work to transform our front garden and fix some issues with our patio. All this was done so well at a fair price, we contacted Bart again as we needed our kerb lowered to match our driveway. Again we had excellent service and a good job done at a reasonable price including application to the Council etc.
What more can I say that Lothian Paving are our "go to " firm for outdoor work.

I would highly recommend Lothian Paving. We contacted a lot of companies for a driveway quote and Lothian Paving stood out from the beginning. Bart came round to our house to measure up the area and answered any questions we had. He was very friendly and made us feel confident that they could deliver what we were looking for. When we accepted the quote Bart came out again to help us decide what we wanted to go for and brought samples of the kind of blocks we were interested in which was very helpful. Once all the details were finalised we received an email to say work would be starting the following week. The team arrived first thing on Monday morning and got straight to it. They were very polite, professional, hardworking and efficient. They completed our driveway in 3 days and the attention to detail was very impressive. We will definitely be using Lothian Paving in the future as the whole process was flawless from start to finish.

Lothian Paving carried out a complete renovation of our mid-terrace front garden. It was fully excavated, 2 levels created, a recessed area for bin storage, evenly spaced steps, wrap-around steps with large step level with front door, sandstone paving throughout and walls to replace front hedges. Due to mobility difficulties I had some specific requirements that were thoughtfully considered throughout. The entire team were very professional and considerate and we were consulted at every stage to ensure we were happy with plans & results. We also had replacement railings, a new gate and handrails for the steps. All the metal work was completed by blacksmith Mark and his colleague. We wanted something simple and Mark worked closely with us to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. We’re thrilled with our new front garden and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lothian Paving.

We had Lothian Paving build stone walls in our garden and renovate our patio. They did an excellent job. It was exceptionally well planned and executed, leaving us very happy with the finished product. The team were skilled, hardworking, friendly and polite. They cleaned up after the job and impressed us with some of their finishing touches. If only all tradesmen could be as good as these ones! We would strongly recommend them to others.

I booked Lothian Paving to clear and remove existing tree stumps, build a supporting wall, fill the area, and then build steps and a terrace approx 45m².
The 5 guys on the job turned up on time, worked incredibly hard, were great at communicating what was going on, and completed the job in just 5 days.
I couldn't be more pleased with the results and wholeheartedly recommend Lothian Paving.

Maciej and his team from Lothian Paving undertook the removal of our old patio and the installation of our new one, after our previous contractor withdrew due to Long Covid problems. As an architect, M had designed the layout and we had sandstone slabs specially cut for us.
So this was an unusual and challenging project for them.
They did an absolutely magnificent job!
Maciej carried out all the laying himself, with the back up of his team, to ensure it was all laid as perfectly as possible.
They were all very hardworking, punctual and so helpful.
We would certainly recommend them.

Overall outcome has been very good. However, hard work to deal with owner and supervisor, they were constantly cutting corners on quality, when we were paying a premium for the work. Poor customer service and sacked one of their best workers in the middle of the job. That worker saved the job from being average to very good. I would not recommend or be very very specific with them and project manage every detail to get what you want and what they charge you for.

Lothian Paving did a flagstone patio at the rear of my house and a mono-block driveway at the front. It was a big job of approximately 100m2 and was completed in what I believe was an excellent time of 8 working days. The teams that did the work were amazing - they worked from 8am until 5pm every day even in inclement weather. It was obvious that no shortcuts were used at all. The ground works were done to an exceptionally high standard and the patio flagstones and paving were laid in the most aesthetically pleasing way that really has a "wow" factor. The guys were also very clean workers - everything was tidied up after them and the attention to detail was super. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who wants a great quality job carried out in optimal time and at a cost which I was very happy to pay - real value for the money spent. Customer service was also great with the team leader personally reviewing the work with me and asking if I was satisfied. 5 star quality and service!

We asked Bart and his team to make us a proper patio and 'belvedere', for our table/parasol, at our newbuild TW home on Almond Park.
The team worked beyond mere praise; the most professional crew I've ever seen working. The job was done in two days of hard and hot graft and was to the highest professional standards of design and finish.

Due to unforeseen difficult conditions the workforce had to leave site a couple of times but always returned promptly as required to continue with the laborious process of excavation and rebuild. The workers were unfailingly professional and diligent overseen by the wonderful Maciek whose calmness and optimism was very much appreciated. All access was through our apartment but great efforts were taken to protect it and the external hallway and lift. We could not recommend Lothian Paving any higher. Thank you.

We had two areas of walling built into a grassy slope and are very happy with the outcome. From our first contact with Bart through to completion all went well and was very professionally dealt with. When we changed our minds or requested anything (which we did several times!) there was never a problem and we were never felt to be a nuisance.

We were absolutely delighted with all the paving, walling, turfing, decking with brushed steel and glass balustrades and general garden reconstruction work which Lothian Paving carried out for us recently in both our front and rear gardens. Ours was a complex job on many levels which required changes and adaptations as the job progressed, and yet, from the planning stage with Bart, who was very helpful and patient, to the very professional, hardworking team of guys, and Maciek who oversaw the whole operation, we were very impressed with all the help and suggestions they made and their willingness to change plans when it was necessary. The only access to our rear garden is through our kitchen but at all times the guys were respectful of our property and always cleared up at the end of each day, causing minimal disturbance or problems for us. They started work promptly each day and were the best professional team we’ve ever employed to do work on our property. No hesitation in highly recommending these guys. They definitely know their trade well. Many thanks to you all once again.

Bart and his team have done a great job in providing us with a new patio as well as changes to our existing set up. Two visits prior to starting work to ensure correct measurements and to discuss requirements, a two day installation with no mess left to clean up. We are left with nothing to do but enjoy the new space. I highly recommend Lothian Paving for anyone considering a new patio or even just changing their existing set up.

Bart and his team removed grass and built a large Lshaped planter and reslabbed the rest of our back garden. They came up with sensible solutions for some problems they encountered.

Twice I have had the boys from Lothian Paving to do work. The first time was my patio and the second my large driveway. They are very knowledgable, and hard working. Each time they come and discuss your requirements and then give you a quote. The price they quote is fixed, unless you change things. They turn up on time nd work solidly throught the day. Their work is of a very high standard and I would gave no hesitation in recommending them.

Start to finish the boys were excellent. They built a stone wall, laid a large patio, laid concrete slabs for a BBQ hut and built a fence. They listened to us, offered suggestions where appropriate and did all that we asked of them and more. We chose them because our friends used them and the quality looked great (of the work they had done). We've passed their number onto half a dozen of our friends and I'd recommend them to anyone. We'll definitely use them again when we replace our old patio (in a year or so).
