Green Tree Services provide a thoughtful, proactive, professional and sustainable tree care and landscaping joinery service throughout the Lothians, The Borders and Fife.
Andy Green qualified in tree climbing/rope access (aerial rescue & use of chainsaw from rope and harness) in 2008, shortly after completing the NPTC tree felling course at Oatridge College. After years of enjoying the woods and the outdoors this seemed like a logical step.
We have carried out a very wide variety of tree work from pruning of mature trees in Conservation Areas of Edinburgh, via traditional methods and cherry pickers (MEWPs), tree removal in tight spaces, felling of mature trees in woodland settings, planting of hedges/trees, tree surveys (Malleny Estate - Rosebery Estates).
Landscape Joinery started very soon after forming in 2008, after working with various friends on their projects and now the main joinery work carried out is decking, garden workshops, garden rooms and also fencing.

We had Green Tree Services remove a huge hedge from the back of our garden and replaced with a fence, giving us more space and light. Andy was very helpful in the lead up and during the project with advice. His team were hardworking and friendly. The job was completed with quality and speed and everything was left tidy.

Needed 3 tree stumps removed. Had no issues from beginning to end, keeping me updated with back and forth messages , which was very important to me (as in the past with tradesmen communication could/was very poor). Would definitely use again if needed and recommend to others.

Andy has carried out a variety of work for us now, including the removal of a large tree, and putting up a fence in an awkward position. Andy is great to deal with, communition is excellent, and work is carried out as expect and on time. He organised planning permission for us (tree conservation area), and communicated with the Council to arrange access for waste removal. Andy has also been great at giving advice on other trees in our garden. Would highly recommend.

We had a new lawn put in which involved removing significant amounts of stone and gravel, removing some shrubs and trees and thereafter laying the lawn. Andy also pruned some of the trees in our garden. The quality of the work was excellent and Andy was helpful and knowledgeable about what would work best in our garden. His pricing was fair and reasonable and there were no hidden costs. We are really happy with the result and would definitely recommend him.

Andy made timber handrails for our garden and created an edged house border with larch sleepers and pebbles. We are delighted with his work, overall very thoughtful and of excellent standard. Andy communicated his ideas and thoughts throughout but taking the time to listen to ours also. He went to great effort to problem solve a beautiful stair handrail for an irregular set of garden steps. He used the existing timber uprights to cut down on the need for new wood and saving us money. Overall would not hesitate in recommending Andy’s fantastic work, an all-round great craftsman and lovely man - we plan on employing his services again in the future.

Andy from Green Tree Services has done various tree pruning and felling jobs for me over the years. The most recent being the reduction of some large overgrown leylandii trees in my front garden.
All the waste was chipped and taken away and my garden left tidier than it was when he arrived.
Great value and friendly service, would highly recommend.
