I had a Simpson EV charger installed last week and Neil and the team have been superb. The whole process from the initial contact form, proving photos to ensure charger would work in my home, ordering (and configuring!) charger and being supported with questions I had, I really cannot fault.
I'm extremely happy with the end result, charger looks and works great! I'd have no hesitation at all to recommend these guys, would definitely be using again.

Energize were recommended by the dealers of my electric van. From the moment of the initial enquiry they had good communication including giving me information on the government grant and the site visit was professional and informative.
The Simpson car charger was reasonably priced and looks great on the wall and Ross did a good job. A small mark down on the communication of the car charger not being properly setup but it was easily fixed by phoning the manufacturers got this sorted so no big hassle.
Overall, really good job and as a solar and battery installation company we will be recommending them to our own customers who are looking for car chargers.

Had a new fuseboard installed as the existing was old and needing replaced for safety reasons.
Ross and Jordan did a great Job and dealing with Neil during the quote and invoicing process was a pleasure.
They turned up when they said they would and even managed to squeeze me in early when I had an issue with some faulty sockets.

Had a quick read through the other reviews before posting, no wonder Energize Electrical have a 5 star rating.
Looking for a company to install an EV charger, this was the nearest and I'm glad they were. From the initial contact to the final installation, they had been throughly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention patient!
On the initial survey it was identified our electrical supply was looped with our neighbour's, Neil sorted that out which took a fair bit of time (months) thanks to Scottish Power and their subcontractors, but Neil checked in to make sure things were progressing and went well. When that was all done, we were booked in quickly.
On installation day, all work was carried out quickly and professionally by Campbell and colleague, with Neil checking in a couple of hours later.
Really happy with the work and will be calling on Neil and team again in the future for any electrical work and I recommend you do too.

I found the Energize team easy to contact and Neil responded immediately to the emergency in my home. A same day visit was arranged which was extremely helpful . The electrician who undertook the work was very knowledgeable and efficient in effecting the repair. I would not hesitate to use the company again nor to recommend them.

The service from start to finish was excellent. From initial contact and advice provided, the team were extremely professional and informative. Neil provided regular updated throughout and was always very helpful. The installation visits were no hassle at all for us, both Campbell and Ross were friendly and knowledgeable. There was a fair bit of awkward cabling work and they completed it with minimal impact on us while working from home. They were extremely neat, ensure everything was clean and tidy before they left. We had all our outdated downlighters replaced for more energy efficient ones and two ceiling fans replaced in the bathrooms .
The difference is night and day.

We used Energize Electrical initially to install an EV charger and they were recommended by a neighbour. It seemed a bit pricey so I had a look at alternative suppliers but none of them got back to me. The quality of work was great and the installers knew what they were doing, gave consistent communication of when they'd arrive and how long it would take etc. We then asked them to quote for a bunch of ad hoc electrical things that needed doing around the house - moving switches, adding sockets etc. They quickly quoted for this, it seemed good value and we scheduled in a date to get it done. Again, the standard of was was great and communication excellent.

I had two extractor fans installed in two bathrooms to deal with condensation issues. I found the communication to be much better and faster than other companies, and they were keen to provide a high level of customer service. For example, they arranged to have a plasterer come with them on the day, and they all wore shoe covers in the house. The most impressive point is that they agreed to return to install more powerful fans at no extra cost to ensure that our needs were met. This was done the next working day after the original job. I would definitely recommend Campbell and his team!

I purchased a detached property that required a full rewire. After seeing the reviews on here and Google, I contacted Energize which was the first of many impressive comms with Neil. The quotation was competitive and numerous suggestions were made on logistics, what type of light fittings, etc… as a result I decided to go ahead with them to complete the job.
The works were completed by Campbell, Ross and Jordan to a very high standard, going above and beyond on numerous occasions.
This included a couple of changes which they were very flexible and accommodating with.

We had our old fuse board replaced with a new one and had three light pendants fitted. The service we received was excellent from start to finish. Campbell, Ross and Jordan came on time and got on with the job straight ahead. They communicated very well with us throughout, and made sure we were satisfied with the work. They were considerate, polite and very professional and the work was done to a very high standard. They finished on scheduled time and made sure the place was clean and tidy. They went through what was done and made sure we were happy with the work before they left. Next day, I received a call from Neil to follow up and to make sure we were satisfied with the work. He also let me know that part of the anticipated work was not done as it was not necessary and for that reason we ended up paying less than the agreed amount, which was highly appreciated. To sum up, Energise Electrical are the best electricians I have come across. They are highly skilled, knowledgable, honest, work to the highest standards and are a great value for money. I cannot recommend them enough and would be definitely using them in the future.

Energise fitted an EV charging point to our external garage. They provided lots of help and advice on selecting the correct charger and then came and fitted it. The electricians were excellent and did a very neat job. Unfortunately the tethered version of the charger we’d selected didn’t support GSM networking (which we need) and so had to be swapped out [the untethered version did]. The charger was swapped only to discover that this one needed a 2Gb/month SIM card [what a charger is doing with that amount of data we have no idea!], so it too was swapped out for a third charger [with a built in SIM]. All of this was done with care and at the booked times [despite the bad weather]. We strongly recommend you talk to Neil if you want an EV charger fitted. The job was finished just before our car was delivered (three months early!)

Neil was incredible. He was very quick to respond to our original enquiry, explained everything that we'd need for our car charger. We needed to get our electricity supply de-looped from our neighbours, and Neil and his team were instrumental in chasing SP Energy to make this happen. I definitely don't think we would have gotten it sorted if not for Neil's efforts - he went above and beyond to make sure that SPE came out and completed the work, and kept us updated along the way. His communication is excellent.
When the SPE work was done, his team arrived quickly and did a great job with zero mess and fuss - we love our new car charger and are so pleased that we went with Energize Electrical. Would highly highly recommend!

Neal at Energize provided excellent insight into the range of EV charger products currently on the market and points to consider for an installation. Following a detailed site survey a fair price was agreed and the work was then completed to a high standard and on time by Campbell - who was also very helpful in installing an exterior light at relatively late notice. It was a pleasure to deal with both Neal and Campbell and I had a very enjoyable customer experience.

I was recommended Campbell and Neil (Energize Electrical) from a family member and have now used them for a number of smaller and bigger jobs. They are both highly knowledgable and have provided a great quality product/finish with their communication being second to none. We had an EICR carried out. We received excellent service from Energize Electrical from start to finish. Prior to the work, I had a long conversation with Neil who throughly explained the work that will be carried out and answered any questions or concerns I had. On the day, the electricians arrived exactly on time. Campbell and Jordan were very professional, polite and considerate. They were confident in the work they were doing and always advised on the work that is being done. They finished on time and gave good advice about extra work that needs to be done. Shortly after the work was finished, I had a further phone call from Neil to follow up and ask if we are satisfied with the work, which we were. So, overall, excellent service with a good value for money from a highly professional team who provide honest and reliable advice. We will use again and would highly recommend them.

I've had a couple of quotes for the work needed, some were cheaper but received without even coming to have a look at the property. I did feel Energize Electrical had a better expertise and services to install my EV charger. They sent an engineer to have a look at things and find the best way to get cables through and give me an accurate quote. Then, on the day they came to do the work and did a great job. They really care about their customer experience. I would use them again.

Installation of new consumer fuse box and EV charger on side of garage. Excellent communication throughout, knowledgeable about the different EV chargers and discussed what would be most appropriate to our specific requirements. Site survey carried out and work agreed. Turned up on time and work completed in half a day to excellent standard. Thankfully we didn't have to deal with cancellations due to Scottish weather but I'm sure this would have been communicated in plenty of time as well. Overall very happy with service and would gladly use again for electrical work.

Extremely pleased with Energize Electrical. They were really professional, easy to communicate with and down to business. The job involved a full house re-wiring, including loft and garage, relocating sockets and switches, fitting lights and installing fire alarms. Despite the amount of work done in the house the mess and dust was kept to a minimum (they were even kind enough to move really big Ikea boxes out of the way which was not really their responsibility) and the job was almost completed within 4 days. They were really accommodating as they came back to finish up the garage, move a pendant light and some other minor fixes that were required to be on time for our next renovation phase. The price was also quite reasonable

Neil and the team installed a new EV charger at the house and from the outset, and in so many ways, the service was excellent. Neil responded really quickly to my initial enquiry and provided lots of information as to what he needed to know from our end. Their system for EV enquiries was also so easy to use, especially for someone who knows nothing about electrical stuff. They were great at getting someone on site asap to do a quote and then install. On the day of install, I received a phone call to say that Campbell was running late, which was a nice touch as many people just wouldn't phone at all. Neil has really nailed the customer service aspect of his business and I would highly recommend their services.

I've recently bought my first flat and wanted to obtain an EICR for my peace of mind. Campbell arrived after 5pm after a tough scheduling between myself and Energize Electrical and carried out the check quickly and professionally. He pointed out several serious issues with the electricals and gave good advice on what remedies were available to me. Neil followed up the next day to check that I was satisfied with the service and with further advice and a quote on remedial work. I will absolutely be using these guys for future electrical needs, cracking service and professionalism.

We had an EV charging point installed at our house. From the outset Neil and the team were absolutely first class. They were very prompt in responding to my initial enquiry, and provided valued guidance on the various options to consider as well as what was involved in the installation process itself. My car delivery was unexpectedly brought forward with only 2 weeks notice of delivery, but Energize Electrical pulled out all the stops and managed to fully install the EV charging point within that timescale. The actual installation process itself was flawless, they turned up on time, the installation was exactly as they had explained, and nothing was a problem to them (including crawling through awkward and tight basement spaces). They are without doubt the best electricians I have used, their customer service and quality of work is outstanding and they are now my first port of call for any and all electrical work. Highly recommended.

From my initial query, I received a swift response and communication to discuss my requirements. After a site visit, I quickly received a quote for the works. The works, were undertaken by Campbell who was excellent to deal with polite and professional, I wasn’t even aware he was in the house undertaking the works.

Had a cooker hood taken out and a new one installed - really liked the way they work. They came and had a look before they quoted, which gave me confidence they knew what they were taking on. The price was reasonable for what they had to do and very happy with the way they conducted themselves before, during and after the install. After working my way down the Tesla list of approved installers sorted by distance from home and not getting any response from the first 5 companies, Neil from Energize quickly got back to me and arranged a time to do a visit to the house then install a charging point for the car. Communications were spot on and Campbell arrived to do the installation exactly on time. Great people to deal with and a first class job overall. It wasn't cheap but still gets 5 stars across the board for the highest quality of customer service and workmanship.

We required a light fixed in our Animal Receiving Centre Vet room fixed urgently due to an upcoming audit as it had stopped working unexpectedly last week.
After making the enquiry on Trusted Trader Neil was quick to contact me to discuss the details and to organize an initial inspection of the fitting before then quoting me to replace the strip light.
Once the quote was received we quickly okayed the work and Neil organized his colleague Collin to attend our site the next afternoon to complete the work in plenty of time for our Audit.
Once Collin arrived the next day he quickly got to work on the light to discover that it did not require as much work as initially thought meaning the light was fixed for much cheaper than originally quoted for..

Had a full Home rewire performed by Energize in April. Right from the start Neil was helpful and transparent about the scope of work and was able to arrange plastering and some additional joinery work needed which all ran simultaneously. Campbell and his team did a great job - really appreciated his eye for detail, anticipating any issues and leaving things clean and tidy. I had an EV charger installed by Energize Electrical. From initial phone call which provided a full understanding of what was involved (a lot!) to choosing the right charger to doing an onsite inspection and finally to a faultless, quick and tidy installation, I cant fault the service and would highly recommend, especially for people who are new to EV’s and the terminology used.
I would also add that their electronic comms is excellent with emails tracked, visit reminder prompts to quotation to accept is all done online easily.

We haven’t long moved to Edinburgh from down south and had a very trusted and reliable electrician, so we were nervous when looking for someone to take on this role. We should not have been worried in the slightest. Campbell responded the same evening to my contact and came out within a week to price the job as well as making excellent recommendations and offering advice along the way. We had A LOT of work which wasn’t far off a full rewire and probably more chasing into walls than any electrician wants to do! We also had outdoor lights installed and changed all sockets and switches throughout the property. Campbell and Jordan completed the work to the highest possible standard, they were incredibly tidy, very courteous and totally professional throughout. The price was competitive and the work was carried out promptly. We could not have asked for anything more and we will certainly be using Energize Electrical again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to all our friends and families.

Great pro-active communications throughout on timings, next steps and the process involved in the EST grant application. And the installation itself was done professionally - finding ways to minimise the cable run outside the house, keeping me updated on how they were getting on and asking for my involvement at the right time when a few choices had to be made. EV Charger installation. I had been struggling to get anyone to do a proper site survey (as opposed to an online survey) and provide a quote for my installation which, while not overly complex, was probabably outside of what most installers would term a 'standard' installation. After discussing with Neil however, he had somone on site within 48 hours and provided a reasonable quote the same day. OZEV and DNO approval for the work was obtained without any issues with Neil keeping me up to date with progress throughout. The install went ahead on the planned date without any issues. All work completed to a high standard and eveything working as expected.

4 bathroom downlights went out and tripped the entire upstairs circuit. My brother thought it was a simple case of changing a light bulb. However on examination we found they were connected to transformers. He said to phone the electrician who rewired mum's house 2 years ago.
She did, but he refused to come out and suggested getting another electrician!! So I went on trusted trader to find an electrician who would be just that and reliable.
I found Energize Electrical and Neil Mclean. He listened to my rant and was happy to help me. I was given a timescale for his son Campbell to visit and do an estimate. He suggested that the transformers be removed as they were not required and we would get individual lights, thus it would be less likely to trip and we could identify the blown one. I was sent a very reasonable estimate and again a timescale when the work would be done.
A day earlier than planned Campbell set to work. However it soon became clear that something else was wrong. He wonderfully explained to my elderly Mum the possibility of water or damp in the loft where the junction boxes were. The way he respectfully spoke to her, certainly didn't over worry us. He reassured us he would sort it.Campbell did find damp in the box, probably from the flash flood in the summer. We had a roofer out to repair the chimney. Luckily there was no other damage in the loft.
He soon had it dried out and we had the grand switch on. Just great to have bathroom lights on again. I suggested he should up his bill but said there was no need.Later we had a phone call from Neil checking everything was all right.
So, I would have no hesitation in using Energize Electrical again and thoroughly recommend them to carry out all types of electrical work. They are our knights coming to the rescue.Thankyou.

I required the purchase and fitting of an EV charger. Energize Electrical were quickly in touch following my initial inquiry to my preferred charger provider and proved to be excellent throughout the purchase, fitting and commissioning process. Unlike other installers who were prepared to rely entirely on photographs and written descriptions of the proposed install, Energize Electrical carried out a thorough site survey before quoting. Once on board, their communication was excellent as was their help and guidance, especially through the grant claim process. On the day of the install they arrived on time, worked tirelessly, showing respect for the property and leaving a clean and tidy job. We had several small pieces of electrical work done;- new socket outlet, replacement of under worktop lighting in kitchen, several new ceiling lights fitted or replaced and a total upgrade of our smoke / fire/ carbon monoxide detectors .
Campbell Maclean was a very tidy worker who vacuumed up the dust produced by drilling and wore soft overshoes to protect our carpets.

Alarm system in my home developed a fault and Neil was great, sorted out someone to come out ASAP same day to get it sorted for me and kept me in the loop. I recently had an electric car charger (an Ohme) fitted in my property by Energize Electrical, and found the service to be first class. In order to qualify for the various government grants currently offered various hoops are required to be jumped through: Neil talked me through the whole process and made sure everything was in order. When it came to fitting Campbell came for a site visit and explained all the requirements before we made the appointment which meant we could set out the best way to install the charger in advance. When the day to fit the charger he arrived promptly, and the charger was in use later that evening: no surprises. I was extremely happy with the service and communication throughout and would highly recommend.

Campbell fitted all the electrics in a new extension for us, as well as replacing our old fuse board. He did an excellent job - everything was done to a great standard and on time, plus he was really friendly and gave lots of great advice. We’d definitely recommend him and will be using again next time we need any electrical work done.

I had an electric vehicle charging point installed by Energize Electrical and I have been very pleased with the excellent service that they have provided. They arranged a site visit soon after my first contact, where they gathered my requirements and recommended a charger that met my needs. They kept me informed throughout the process of ordering the unit, arranging install and also provided valuable assistance in the steps required to secure a grant from the Energy Savings Trust. They were keen to answer all the questions that I had and provided support post install during the set up of the unit, so they could use this to assist other customers. I would have no hesitation in using them again or further electrical work or recommending them to other people. Many thanks to Neil and Campbell.

They gave lots of excellent advice even before giving the quote. They were professional, communicative and tried their best to be tidy. I was very happy with the work. Finally, I found a dependable electrician who is prompt and efficient. Although the task at hand was more complicated that I had originally thought – 2 external lights (with remote control) and external double sockets, lots of drilling and cabling but Campbell was excellent at attention to detail and problem solving. Well done, thank you for a great service and I would not hesitate in recommending Energize Electrical.

The work completed included fitting 2 new security lights, fitting a number of extra sockets, fitting down lights in a bathroom and a pendant light in a bedroom. In addition I had a couple of tricky issues to solve such as isolating a freezer switch from behind a stubborn kick board and correcting some old wiring issues. Campbell from Energize Electrical was prompt in both providing an estimate and timeframe for completing the work. He came when he said he would and I was very impressed with his problem solving and efficiency and also his tidiness. Would recommend.
