I needed an EV charger installed asap. I picked Energize as one of 3 companies to quote due to their high volume of excellent reviews. Having emailed in the evening I received a phone call at 07:45 (from Neil) the next day, to get the ball rolling. This speed, efficiency, strong communication and great customer care typified my experience of this company. I submited the photos required. The next morning, 8am, a survey was done followed by a quote. The quote seemed a bit high to me based on my online research. Another company quoted - install only 'to save me money' - and was more expensive. So I went back to Energize. Keen to make the right choice of charger I did a more research, selected a different make and asked Energize to requote - which they did immediately. However Neil also left a message to call him. When I did so he gave me the 'low-down' from an installer's standpoint on the widely used product I had asked for - it wasn't proving reliable. So I accepted his original quote. Initially fitting was quoted as 2-3 weeks, however I mentioned on the off-chance that EV delivery was due within 1 week. I was bowled over when they offered to install in that time frame. The installer, Ross, was careful, tidy, efficient, friendly and helpful in terms of siting and cable route. He also cleaned up carefully afterwards. So within the space of just over a week the whole thing was done - a great result, and I am confident I also have received a great product which functions well, looks the part and is clearly built to last. Thank you Neil, Campbell, Ross. Most impressed.

Installation of electric car charger. Very prompt in all communications. Efficient and a neat installation.

Energize Electrical installed an EV charger. From the initial phone call to the final installation was flawless. After installation I had a problem. I messaged and they responded within 12 hours. The issue was actually the electrical suppliers issue and Energize Electrical guided me on how to deal with Scottish Power.

Installation of a Tesla EV charger. Excellent communication and quick response. Came out to house quickly to survey the property, advise on installation and provide quote. All work completed within a week. Extremely please with the service and would highly recommend Energize Electrical.

It took us a significant amount of time to find a) the right EV charger and b) the right installer. Both were important to us as I wanted an aesthetically pleasing charger which would be installed correctly. After a recommendation on both a Porsche forum and from the EV supplier I got in contact with Neil at Energize. Communication was excellent and Neil talked through the process. It is clear that the business standard is high and aims to provide a quality service. It certainly didn’t disappoint.
Campbell attended and conducted a site survey and answered some of my questions, the quotation was with me soon after and a date arranged for Installation.
Energize arrived on time, we’re very polite and extremely tidy.

I was extremely impressed by the speed of response to my initial request for an estimate and the excellent ongoing communication by phone and text. My problem with a hot water cylinder was sorted very promptly and efficiently and I was very happy with the quality of work done to fit security lighting. I chose Energize Electrical based on their Trusted Trader reviews and was not disappointed. The communication via Neil was excellent throughout; from arranging Campbell to initially assess the work needed through to the timely arrival of Ross and Jordan to undertake the work. This involved replacing a faulty RCB for the under-floor heating in the bathroom and re-wiring the large integrated oven in the kitchen from the ring circuit to the cooker circuit (to which an integrated combi-oven was already attached) so as to avoid the ring circuit tripping when multiple appliances were used.
Ross and Jordan worked efficiently and professionally and were happy to answer any questions that I had. They completed the work in a timely manner and left the job areas clean and tidy; indeed you would never had known they had been there!
I would be happy to recommend Energize Electrical and would certainly use them again in the future. I was particularly pleased that they were willing to undertake relatively small jobs as described above and being a Trusted Trader gave me peace of mind as to the quality of the work.

The company installed an EV charger at my property a year ago but I was having some issues with the electricity supply in my house when the car was charging. After sending an email to Neil (the boss!), one of his chaps was here at 9am the next morning to take a look at the issue. This was resolved very quickly and I should point out that the issue here was user error rather than anything problematic with the initial instal. Highly recommend this business and their after sales is second to none.

We got in touch with Neil regarding an EV charger that we wanted fitted in our garage. Campbell came out to survey the property and as a result, we had issues regarding which charger would be most suitable due to potential wi-fi issues. Neil went above and beyond, contacting several manufacturers to find a solution. There was excellent communication during the whole process and Campbell installed the charger and stayed until we completed a 'test charge' with the car, he is an absolute credit to Energize Electrical. Mum recently had a lot of building work done prior to moving into her house. Once in her new home, she realised she wanted some extra sockets and lighting installed. I was worried this was going to involve ripping floors up, chasing walls etc. I saw the positive reviews for Energize electrical and asked them to quote. The chap came out and spoke with Mum and was very clear about what could be done, and also highlighted that they would fill any holes and that this may require a bit of painting afterwards - all fair enough. The quote seemed fair and reasonable. The guys came out and i sent Mum a note to ask how it was going. She said the guys were brilliant, friendly, tidy and efficient. Everything was completed to her complete satisfaction - there was virtually no disruption to decoration / finishes considering what had been installed. Mum advised that she was now able to use her electric recliner chair and have her table lamp on at the same time - so that means i get a quiet life :-) Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely use again. It feels like a relief to have a reliable electrician whom we can use for other jobs in the future

Energize fitted 3 extractor fans and replaced the old electric fuse board.
From first contact, through quote and completion of the work, Neil and team were easy to work with – professional service with excellent customer service.
Clear and consistent communication, answering all my queries. I was also impressed by how tidy the team were, using dust sheets and cleaning up after the work. Installation was top quality, with the team doing lots of testing and keeping me informed throughout the day of the work.
Furthermore, there were no hidden charges – the quoted cost was the end price.
I have already noticed a decrease in the level of condensation, and the fans are generally quite quiet.

Energize Electrical have recently completed the installation of an EV charger for me. From the off, Neil was quick to respond to give me a call and was happy to suggest potential options for me based on the setup I have in my new-build property. A site survey was organised and installation date for the Simpson & Partners charger quickly followed.

The installation was completed by Ross, Campbell and Jordan who were all very friendly and explained clearly what was being done. They even pointed out and fixed a few issues with the electrical installation left behind by the builder!

All the work was done professionally and without fuss or mess. It was a pleasure to have the team in the house and I will definitely be using them again for any future electrical work in the house.

Great all round service.

Energize were recommended by the dealers of my electric van. From the moment of the initial enquiry they had good communication including giving me information on the government grant and the site visit was professional and informative.
The Simpson car charger was reasonably priced and looks great on the wall and Ross did a good job. A small mark down on the communication of the car charger not being properly setup but it was easily fixed by phoning the manufacturers got this sorted so no big hassle.
Overall, really good job and as a solar and battery installation company we will be recommending them to our own customers who are looking for car chargers.

Had a new fuseboard installed as the existing was old and needing replaced for safety reasons.

Ross and Jordan did a great Job and dealing with Neil during the quote and invoicing process was a pleasure.

They turned up when they said they would and even managed to squeeze me in early when I had an issue with some faulty sockets.

Looking for a company to install an EV charger, this was the nearest and I'm glad they were. From the initial contact to the final installation, they had been throughly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention patient!

On the initial survey it was identified our electrical supply was looped with our neighbour's, Neil sorted that out which took a fair bit of time (months) thanks to Scottish Power and their subcontractors, but Neil checked in to make sure things were progressing and went well. When that was all done, we were booked in quickly.

On installation day, all work was carried out quickly and professionally by Campbell and colleague, with Neil checking in a couple of hours later.

Really happy with the work and will be calling on Neil and team again in the future for any electrical work and I recommend you do too.

Energize fitted a charging point, this was done efficiently with the minimum of disruption and mess.

Ring main failure which took out all appliances and central heating.
I found the Energize team easy to contact and Neil responded immediately to the emergency in my home. A same day visit was arranged which was extremely helpful . The electrician who undertook the work was very knowledgeable and efficient in effecting the repair. I would not hesitate to use the company again nor to recommend them.

We used Energize Electrical initially to install an EV charger and they were recommended by a neighbour. It seemed a bit pricey so I had a look at alternative suppliers but none of them got back to me. The quality of work was great and the installers knew what they were doing, gave consistent communication of when they'd arrive and how long it would take etc. We then asked them to quote for a bunch of ad hoc electrical things that needed doing around the house - moving switches, adding sockets etc. They quickly quoted for this, it seemed good value and we scheduled in a date to get it done. Again, the standard of was was great and communication excellent.

I had two extractor fans installed in two bathrooms to deal with condensation issues. I found the communication to be much better and faster than other companies, and they were keen to provide a high level of customer service. For example, they arranged to have a plasterer come with them on the day, and they all wore shoe covers in the house. The most impressive point is that they agreed to return to install more powerful fans at no extra cost to ensure that our needs were met. This was done the next working day after the original job. I would definitely recommend Campbell and his team!

Energize Electrical fitted an EV charger to our home recently and the entire process was as straightforward and painless as it could have possibly been .

Neil got in touch very soon after our first request via the website. The process was explained perfectly and all the necessary information gathered that day. Anything else that Energize needed, they took care of without us having to worry about it. From then until install date, we were kept fully informed.

I purchased a detached property that required a full rewire. After seeing the reviews on here and Google, I contacted Energize which was the first of many impressive comms with Neil. The quotation was competitive and numerous suggestions were made on logistics, what type of light fittings, etc… as a result I decided to go ahead with them to complete the job.
The works were completed by Campbell, Ross and Jordan to a very high standard, going above and beyond on numerous occasions.
This included a couple of changes which they were very flexible and accommodating with.

We had our old fuse board replaced with a new one and had three light pendants fitted. The service we received was excellent from start to finish. Campbell, Ross and Jordan came on time and got on with the job straight ahead. They communicated very well with us throughout, and made sure we were satisfied with the work. Energise fitted an EV charging point to our external garage. They provided lots of help and advice on selecting the correct charger and then came and fitted it. The electricians were excellent and did a very neat job. Unfortunately the tethered version of the charger we’d selected didn’t support GSM networking (which we need) and so had to be swapped out [the untethered version did]. The charger was swapped only to discover that this one needed a 2Gb/month SIM card [what a charger is doing with that amount of data we have no idea!], so it too was swapped out for a third charger [with a built in SIM]. All of this was done with care and at the booked times [despite the bad weather]. We strongly recommend you talk to Neil if you want an EV charger fitted. The job was finished just before our car was delivered (three months early!)

Neil was incredible. He was very quick to respond to our original enquiry, explained everything that we'd need for our car charger. We needed to get our electricity supply de-looped from our neighbours, and Neil and his team were instrumental in chasing SP Energy to make this happen. I definitely don't think we would have gotten it sorted if not for Neil's efforts - he went above and beyond to make sure that SPE came out and completed the work, and kept us updated along the way. His communication is excellent.

Following a detailed site survey a fair price was agreed and the work was then completed to a high standard and on time by Campbell - who was also very helpful in installing an exterior light at relatively late notice. I've had a couple of quotes for the work needed, some were cheaper but received without even coming to have a look at the property. I did feel Energize Electrical had a better expertise and services to install my EV charger. They sent an engineer to have a look at things and find the best way to get cables through and give me an accurate quote. Then, on the day they came to do the work and did a great job. They really care about their customer experience. I would use them again.

Installation of new consumer fuse box and EV charger on side of garage. Excellent communication throughout, knowledgeable about the different EV chargers and discussed what would be most appropriate to our specific requirements. Site survey carried out and work agreed. Turned up on time and work completed in half a day to excellent standard. Thankfully we didn't have to deal with cancellations due to Scottish weather but I'm sure this would have been communicated in plenty of time as well. Overall very happy with service and would gladly use again for electrical work.

Extremely pleased with Energize Electrical. They were really professional, easy to communicate with and down to business. The job involved a full house re-wiring, including loft and garage, relocating sockets and switches, fitting lights and installing fire alarms. Despite the amount of work done in the house the mess and dust was kept to a minimum (they were even kind enough to move really big Ikea boxes out of the way which was not really their responsibility) and the job was almost completed within 4 days. They were really accommodating as they came back to finish up the garage, move a pendant light and some other minor fixes that were required to be on time for our next renovation phase. The price was also quite reasonable

Neil and the team installed a new EV charger at the house and from the outset, and in so many ways, the service was excellent. Neil responded really quickly to my initial enquiry and provided lots of information as to what he needed to know from our end. Campbell arrived after 5pm after a tough scheduling between myself and Energize Electrical and carried out the check quickly and professionally. He pointed out several serious issues with the electricals and gave good advice on what remedies were available to me. We had an EV charging point installed at our house. From the outset Neil and the team were absolutely first class. From start to finish the experience with Energerize was a positive one.

From my initial query, I received a swift response and communication to discuss my requirements. After a site visit, I quickly received a quote for the works. The works, were undertaken by Campbell who was excellent to deal with polite and professional, I wasn’t even aware he was in the house undertaking the works.

The quality of work and explanation of works undertaken was first class.

Would have no hesitation using again or recommending. It was refreshing to deal with a construction company who were so professional. The communication from company is excellent and more akin to dealing with Amazon than a electrical contractor.

Recommended this company and they didn’t let me down. Friendly, efficient and would definitely use again.

Installed a Hypervolt EV charger and some outside lighting for us. Very professional - punctual, helpful, good communication.

Had a cooker hood taken out and a new one installed - really liked the way they work. They came and had a look before they quoted, which gave me confidence they knew what they were taking on. The price was reasonable for what they had to do and very happy with the way they conducted themselves before, during and after the install. Not the cheapest, but glad I went with them, not the cheaper option.

After working my way down the Tesla list of approved installers sorted by distance from home and not getting any response from the first 5 companies, Neil from Energize quickly got back to me and arranged a time to do a visit to the house then install a charging point for the car. Communications were spot on and Campbell arrived to do the installation exactly on time. Great people to deal with and a first class job overall. It wasn't cheap but still gets 5 stars across the board for the highest quality of customer service and workmanship.

We required a light fixed in our Animal Receiving Centre Vet room fixed urgently due to an upcoming audit as it had stopped working unexpectedly last week.

After making the enquiry on Trusted Trader Neil was quick to contact me to discuss the details and to organize an initial inspection of the fitting before then quoting me to replace the strip light.

Once the quote was received we quickly okayed the work and Neil organized his colleague Collin to attend our site the next afternoon to complete the work in plenty of time for our Audit.

Once Collin arrived the next day he quickly got to work on the light to discover that it did not require as much work as initially thought meaning the light was fixed for much cheaper than originally quoted for..

Installed a new 7 way fuse board and carried out various repairs - eg replacement pendant.
Campbell arrived when he had arranged to do so, tidied up when finished and gave good feedback once the job was complete ( this also included a recommendation to contact Scottish Power). He was professional and polite at all times.

His communications were professional - arrived at his initial visit when he said he would, explained what he would be required to do and submitted a breakdown of costs estimate.

I had an EV charger installed by Energize Electrical. From initial phone call which provided a full understanding of what was involved (a lot!) to choosing the right charger to doing an onsite inspection and finally to a faultless, quick and tidy installation, I cant fault the service and would highly recommend, especially for people who are new to EV’s and the terminology used.
I would also add that their electronic comms is excellent with emails tracked, visit reminder prompts to quotation to accept is all done online easily.

Energise electric added lighting to my new driveway conversion to specification working very well with the Landscaping company. Work was completed and coordinated with the drive installers keeping the overall project on time and within budget. I would use the company again I was so satisfied with the wok undertaken.

We haven’t long moved to Edinburgh from down south and had a very trusted and reliable electrician, so we were nervous when looking for someone to take on this role. We should not have been worried in the slightest. Campbell responded the same evening to my contact and came out within a week to price the job as well as making excellent recommendations and offering advice along the way. We had A LOT of work which wasn’t far off a full rewire and probably more chasing into walls than any electrician wants to do! We also had outdoor lights installed and changed all sockets and switches throughout the property. Campbell and Jordan completed the work to the highest possible standard, they were incredibly tidy, very courteous and totally professional throughout. The price was competitive and the work was carried out promptly.
