I contacted Energize Electrical to supply and fit a 7kw car charging unit at my house.

Required a broken dimmer switch in a vulnerable adults home to be dealt with at short notice. Energize Electrical very kindly organised for an electrician to visit within two hours and complete the job.

Required some electrical sockets replaced like for like and an extractor fan replaced.
Very quick response to initial enquiry and communication with Neil very good throughout. Job was assessed one day later with quote provided later in the day. Work started the following day. The fan wasn't straightforward as there were issues with how the original fan had been unstalled and work was required to reposition a duct with resultant gaps requiring filling. This delayed the project by a few days but Cameron returned a few days later to complete the task.
No reference point in respect of value for money as we required work done quickly and didn't seek any alternative quote. However was satisfied with and happy to pay the sum quoted.

An MOT check on the electrical works in my flat was undertaken and a report supplied of rectifications needed. The work was done competently by Campbell who arrived on time and found a nearby parking place (which is very difficult in the Westend). Very good service from start to finish. Ross and Jordan were efficient and took time to explain what they were doing. Mine was a “ bitty” job covering several small things to be done but they took it all in their stride. Even tackling a large wisteria with entwined cable to get security light replaced.

Ross and Jordan did a great job with the emergency light test in our building. They have done a couple of jobs for us now and happy with the service Energize provide.

They surveyed the work provided an estimate and carried out the installation of my Tesla charger efficiently. I dealt with Campbell, Ross Jordan and Neil who were all friendly and professional I would highly recommend them.

I'm requesting Cambpell every time! I've had a slew of contractors (literally 15) in and out over the last 3 days since getting the keys to my new flat. Campbell is by far my favourite. He was professional, explained my options for running power to my shed including the pros and cons of those options. I asked clarifying questions, he answered them. I never felt like he was talking down to me. When he left, I knew exactly what to expect (two quotes for the options we discussed). Also, Neil has been really wonderful. I'm moving house from England, first time purchasing in the UK. Neil has explained everything I need to check from the electrical side of things. I called Neil yesterday asking for a quote about running electric to my shed. I told him it was important and I wanted to get started quite quickly on it. When I informed Neil that I would be leaving the next day for two weeks, he called back to say someone would come at 8am before I left! Absolutely amazing. Moving has been hell but working with Energize Electrical has been brilliant.

EICR test was done. Contacted Energize Electricals through recommendation by family member who had used them to install an EV charger. My issue was electrics tripping occasionally in my flat. Communications with Neil was great, he phoned, listened to my problems, and highly recommended getting an EICR done prior to upgrading my very old consumer unit. To-day Ross and Jordan carried out the EICR – all completed in an efficient and professional manner. Ross explained clearly what work needs to be done. I would happily use Energize Electricals again and would recommend to others.

The whole experience was simple and faultless throughout. From initial contact request the communication was excellent and really inspired confidence. Very happy with the job today from Energize Electrical. They fitted an outside socket which I'll use to charge my EV. Talked through options and decided that's ideal for my limited mileage and convenient for cutting the grass / christmas lights etc. But they fitted a high rated cable with extra length in case I change my mind in the future.

We needed an EICR inspection done on a large flat in Edinburgh at short notice. Neil was able to fit us in the same week, which was much appreciated.

The booking procedure is automated and felt v slick, with automated confirmation & reminders - and a phone call from Neil to confirm that Campbell was on his way.

Ross came to try and find a fault we were having with our electrics, our RCD switch was tripping and we were unable to ascertain what was causing this. Ross and his colleague thoroughly checked our circuits and sockets to try and find the fault.

Energize installed a Simpson electric vehicle charger for me. The whole process was very efficient and effortless and I particularly appreciated their responsiveness to my enquiry and subsequent speed of producing a quote and carrying out the work. I think the price was fair considering the work done.

The people involved were very helpful and demonstrated a “can do” attitude that is not often found in tradespeople, particularly electricians who often seem more interested in criticising your existing installation than suggesting ways to resolve problems. Energize Electrical fitted a kitchen extraction system for me which included ducting through a garage and outside. They were very professional from the outset and communication was clear and speedy. We had a water damaged ceiling in a utility room which we thought was caused by the MEV extraction unit. Campbell arranged for the joiner Bryan and his team to cut out a portion of the ceiling to assess where water damage was coming from. Bryan did a brilliant job,very clean and tidy opening the ceiling. It turned out the damage was coming from a different source which had now dried. Campbell asked if we still wanted to replace the noisy MEV unit as it was not causing the issue. We advised we wanted it replaced and Campbell sourced and fitted a new unit. It was a very tricky job as the space between the joists was very limited but the new unit was fitted and works perfectly(so quiet we do not know it is on.) Bryan and Bob then returned and fitted a new removable opening with which we are delighted. Overall great communication between the client, the electrician and the joiner and you are left with a very happy customer.

Found this company on a Google search while looking for a qualified electrician to install my cooker. This company and team are a hidden gem in Edinburgh. Their customer service was a very high standard. Professional from first contact to job completed. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and reliable service.

Energize Electrical cored a hole in the kitchen wall to vent out my existing cooker hood, fitted the required ducting and exterior grill. My experience with them was 5 stars from start to finish. I made an enquiry on their website one evening and the next day (yes the very next day) I received a call from Neil first thing in the morning saying they had received my enquiry and would like to come and have a look at the job! Neil was enthusiastic about getting the job done, which was a pleasant surprise as some tradespersons respond to enquiries in the most apathetic way that you sometimes feel like you’re bothering them. First impressions definitely count. We agreed a date and time and on the day Ross attended to have a look at the job. Ross was polite and courteous, putting covers on his shoes as he entered my home. I initially thought I’d have to replace the entire existing cooker hood but was pleased to hear from Ross that the current hood would be sufficient. I had some concerns about where the exterior grill would go but Ross and Neil were able to allay those concerns. Throughout the entire process I was able to contact Neil easily via telephone and he responded to emails promptly.

We arranged a day for the job and I got a friendly text reminder the day before the job. On the day, Ross and Campbell attended and they were very professional. They were focused on getting the job done and efficient with their time. They worked constantly and there were no chats about what they got up to the weekend before, no shouting and no offensive language thrown about. They could see I was working from home and gave me a heads up when the drill was about to get used, and kept me updated on their progress. They asked before using things, and checked it was okay to leave bits of their equipment in certain places whilst they worked. The job was completed in about 2 hours and they tidied up after. Venting out the hood has been like night and day and I am so pleased with the work. I highly recommend Energize Electrical. Other companies told me they could only fit the ducting and I would have to get another tradesperson to core the hole or vice versa. Energize Electrical sorted it all themselves. Other companies gave me remote quotes but Energize Electrical attended my property and assessed the job before providing any quote. 5 star company for sure!

Energize Electrical installed my EV charger a couple of months ago and when it stopped working after a recent power cut, they were quick to answer my messaging offering support.

I chatted with Neil who made himself available on a Sunday about what had happened and what I had tried to make it work, with no luck. Neil offered to send Campbell round the next day. Although everything up until the charger was fully functioning, it wasn't until Campbell took the cover off that the charger decided to work. Campbell was on the phone to the Tech Support at that point seeking advice. Turns out the charger had a bit of a wobble, as it had been working perfectly until that point.

Neil called not long after to check on how things were.

I'm always impressed with the care and time Neil and colleagues spend making sure they do a good job and their customer is satisfied, complete professionals from start to finish. They fully justify the 5 star ratings.

Replaced 3 outside lights with brighter ones to increase the security of the property. Also replaced the 50-year-old fuse board with a new one. While doing the work they discovered that some ceiling spotlights installed by another company previously had not been earthed so they are going to send a quote to fix that. I contacted Energize Electrical after seeing their reviews on Trusted Trader and because I had just moved house and urgently needed some sockets fitted. I emailed them very early in the morning and heard back from Neil within an hour or two. Neil was very friendly and he arranged an appointment for me. Within a few days Ross, the electrician came out to fit the sockets. Ross was also very pleasant and my partner and I were both very happy with his work and how quickly he completed the job. I have to mention as well that he fixed a broken switch for us too and tidied up very well before he left. Overall, we were very grateful that they were able to fit us in at short notice as it alleviated a lot of stress during our move. Will definitely use Energize Electrical again and would definitely recommend.

We had an electric socket fitted for an electric powered car. We can truly say that this company exceeded our expectations in every area from keeping in touch at every aspect of the process, completing the job on time and leaving the area of work spotlessly clean. They were also excellent value for money. We will certainly use them again should we need any further electrical work in the house.

I needed an EV charger installed asap. I picked Energize as one of 3 companies to quote due to their high volume of excellent reviews. Having emailed in the evening I received a phone call at 07:45 (from Neil) the next day, to get the ball rolling. This speed, efficiency, strong communication and great customer care typified my experience of this company. I submited the photos required. The next morning, 8am, a survey was done followed by a quote. The quote seemed a bit high to me based on my online research. Another company quoted - install only 'to save me money' - and was more expensive. So I went back to Energize. Keen to make the right choice of charger I did a more research, selected a different make and asked Energize to requote - which they did immediately. However Neil also left a message to call him. When I did so he gave me the 'low-down' from an installer's standpoint on the widely used product I had asked for - it wasn't proving reliable. So I accepted his original quote. Initially fitting was quoted as 2-3 weeks, however I mentioned on the off-chance that EV delivery was due within 1 week. I was bowled over when they offered to install in that time frame. The installer, Ross, was careful, tidy, efficient, friendly and helpful in terms of siting and cable route. He also cleaned up carefully afterwards. So within the space of just over a week the whole thing was done - a great result, and I am confident I also have received a great product which functions well, looks the part and is clearly built to last. Thank you Neil, Campbell, Ross. Most impressed.

Installation of a Tesla EV charger. Excellent communication and quick response. Came out to house quickly to survey the property, advise on installation and provide quote. All work completed within a week. Extremely please with the service and would highly recommend Energize Electrical.

It took us a significant amount of time to find a) the right EV charger and b) the right installer. Both were important to us as I wanted an aesthetically pleasing charger which would be installed correctly. After a recommendation on both a Porsche forum and from the EV supplier I got in contact with Neil at Energize. Communication was excellent and Neil talked through the process. It is clear that the business standard is high and aims to provide a quality service. It certainly didn’t disappoint.

I chose Energize Electrical based on their Trusted Trader reviews and was not disappointed. The communication via Neil was excellent throughout; from arranging Campbell to initially assess the work needed through to the timely arrival of Ross and Jordan to undertake the work. This involved replacing a faulty RCB for the under-floor heating in the bathroom and re-wiring the large integrated oven in the kitchen from the ring circuit to the cooker circuit (to which an integrated combi-oven was already attached) so as to avoid the ring circuit tripping when multiple appliances were used.
Ross and Jordan worked efficiently and professionally and were happy to answer any questions that I had. They completed the work in a timely manner and left the job areas clean and tidy; indeed you would never had known they had been there!
I would be happy to recommend Energize Electrical and would certainly use them again in the future. I was particularly pleased that they were willing to undertake relatively small jobs as described above and being a Trusted Trader gave me peace of mind as to the quality of the work.

The company installed an EV charger at my property a year ago but I was having some issues with the electricity supply in my house when the car was charging. After sending an email to Neil (the boss!), one of his chaps was here at 9am the next morning to take a look at the issue. This was resolved very quickly and I should point out that the issue here was user error rather than anything problematic with the initial instal. Highly recommend this business and their after sales is second to none.

We got in touch with Neil regarding an EV charger that we wanted fitted in our garage. Campbell came out to survey the property and as a result, we had issues regarding which charger would be most suitable due to potential wi-fi issues. Neil went above and beyond, contacting several manufacturers to find a solution. There was excellent communication during the whole process and Campbell installed the charger and stayed until we completed a 'test charge' with the car, he is an absolute credit to Energize Electrical. Mum recently had a lot of building work done prior to moving into her house. Once in her new home, she realised she wanted some extra sockets and lighting installed. I was worried this was going to involve ripping floors up, chasing walls etc. I saw the positive reviews for Energize electrical and asked them to quote. The chap came out and spoke with Mum and was very clear about what could be done, and also highlighted that they would fill any holes and that this may require a bit of painting afterwards - all fair enough. The quote seemed fair and reasonable. The guys came out and i sent Mum a note to ask how it was going. She said the guys were brilliant, friendly, tidy and efficient. Everything was completed to her complete satisfaction - there was virtually no disruption to decoration / finishes considering what had been installed. Mum advised that she was now able to use her electric recliner chair and have her table lamp on at the same time - so that means i get a quiet life :-) Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely use again. It feels like a relief to have a reliable electrician whom we can use for other jobs in the future

Energize fitted 3 extractor fans and replaced the old electric fuse board.
From first contact, through quote and completion of the work, Neil and team were easy to work with – professional service with excellent customer service.
Clear and consistent communication, answering all my queries. I was also impressed by how tidy the team were, using dust sheets and cleaning up after the work. Installation was top quality, with the team doing lots of testing and keeping me informed throughout the day of the work.
Furthermore, there were no hidden charges – the quoted cost was the end price.
I have already noticed a decrease in the level of condensation, and the fans are generally quite quiet.

Energize Electrical have recently completed the installation of an EV charger for me. From the off, Neil was quick to respond to give me a call and was happy to suggest potential options for me based on the setup I have in my new-build property. A site survey was organised and installation date for the Simpson & Partners charger quickly followed.

The installation was completed by Ross, Campbell and Jordan who were all very friendly and explained clearly what was being done. They even pointed out and fixed a few issues with the electrical installation left behind by the builder!

Great all round service.

Energize were recommended by the dealers of my electric van. From the moment of the initial enquiry they had good communication including giving me information on the government grant and the site visit was professional and informative.
The Simpson car charger was reasonably priced and looks great on the wall and Ross did a good job. A small mark down on the communication of the car charger not being properly setup but it was easily fixed by phoning the manufacturers got this sorted so no big hassle.
Overall, really good job and as a solar and battery installation company we will be recommending them to our own customers who are looking for car chargers.

Had a new fuseboard installed as the existing was old and needing replaced for safety reasons.

Looking for a company to install an EV charger, this was the nearest and I'm glad they were. From the initial contact to the final installation, they had been throughly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention patient!

On the initial survey it was identified our electrical supply was looped with our neighbour's, Neil sorted that out which took a fair bit of time (months) thanks to Scottish Power and their subcontractors, but Neil checked in to make sure things were progressing and went well. When that was all done, we were booked in quickly.

On installation day, all work was carried out quickly and professionally by Campbell and colleague, with Neil checking in a couple of hours later.

Really happy with the work and will be calling on Neil and team again in the future for any electrical work and I recommend you do too.
