We had Energize Electrical install a series of recessed downlights in our hallway. We were very happy with the work they did and will have them back to do further work we have planned in the future.

After contacting them via Trusted Trader, they were quick to arrange a visit, stressing that they don't provide quotes without one (something that none of the others we contacted did). I felt assured after the visit that they knew exactly what was involved in the job.

After discussing the job, they sent me several quotes for different options, clearly explaining what was involved in each. Their pricing was fair and, unlike other quotes we received, included minor decorative repair work.

On the day, they arrived on time and discussed the work with us before proceeding. They carried out the job quickly and professionally, taking additional steps to minimise the visibility of the work. We were happy with the repair work that was done, and they cleaned properly after the job.

We had an EV wallbox fitted to the house. Neil explained the options to us and made recommendations as to which device and options to include. Very professional company. Communications are excellent throughout the engagement and the completed work itself being of high quality and left very tidy after it had completed. Definitely recommend this company if you need an EV wallbox fitted and I would use them again for any future electrical work.

We were aware we required more than a standard installation but the entire team went out of their way to ensure they found a solution and completed the work to the highest of standards.

Energize installed an electric vehicle charging point at our home. Overall we were extremely pleased with the service. Energize Electrical (Scot) installed a EV 7KW Home Charge point.

Through out the entire process communications with the team were clear and concise. Neil took the time to explain the technical requirements for installing a home EV charging point- it is not as straightforward as you would think!
The initial survey was carried out quickly and the found the surveyor to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
The installation team turned up on a wet November morning at the agreed time and the works carried out as per the agreed quotation, with no "scope creep". The site team were very professional, highly competent and the works were carried out to a high standard. Housekeeping was noted to be exemplary throughout the whole process.

Energize Electrical have installed some new lighting in the church and carried out annual PAT testing. They arrived at the specified time, carried out all the work very efficiently and have cleared up behind them leaving no mess at all. Their communication before and after the job has been excellent, and I would recommend this firm highly.

Had smoke and heat detectors fitted. Flat now complies with regulations. I was given a price and a date. Electrician turned up on time, very proficient and completed the job with no mess. Campbell from Energize has completed two jobs at my property in the last year to an exceptional standard. He wired and fitted electrical appliances (shaver, mirror, extractor) in my new bathroom and removed an old faulty wired fire alarm system (3 fire, 1 heat). Both jobs required a lot more work than I had planned but Campbell was able to provide solutions to solve any problems that came up and kept me in the loop with progress as well as cleaning up any mess from the job which I really appreciated. All in all, a very talented electrician who I can trust to use for all electrical work.

He then acted as intermediary with SPEN thus ensuring that some critical supply matters were dealt with. Lots of subsequent contacts from Neil regarding progress of work and offering advice. Excellent post installation follow up.
Campbell, the surveyor, also very helpful. Gave clear and concise advice regarding both Chargepoint and Fuse board.

Fitted an EV charger & external light, and upgraded fusebox / consumer unit. Installation of Simpson EV charger for Tesla Y and found Energize through the Tesla site. From start to finish Neil was the most helpful and informative person I have ever dealt with from a Trades company. Politely changed my mind on Charger type based on minimalistic look and feel needs and the whole process from contact to install was about 3 weeks. I used Energise Electrical after a recommendation from my daughter. We had a new power point put behind our tv, there were wires showing and Campbell and Ross worked out a simple solution so they were all hidden. On the day they arrived there was a couple of extra jobs I asked about - I had purchased a new tv mount which they also fitted for me and they were very obliging by helping me get my dishwasher working which I was delighted about. Another great experience with Energize Electrical. I needed a fuse box and the wiring sorted with my oven/hob. After purchasing my flat I discovered the hob had no electric connected to it and there was no fuse box for the oven/hob. Campbell came and fixed everything. Now I don't need a lighter to start my hob! I loved finally hearing the click, click, click sound of the gas ignition once the job was complete. As usual, Campbell was polite, friendly and professional. Always a pleasure to see him and have the reassurance that the job is being done right.

I required a direct cabling from the fuse board to the kitchen for a new cooker. I didn’t think it was easy or straightforward but Campbell, the Approved Electrician, showed great creativity with the minimum of disruption.

Energize Electrical were very supportive and accommodating when my EV charger developed a fault and required to be returned to the manufacturer as part of a warranty claim.

Neil was very helpful, supportive and informative in helping me work out what had gone wrong with the charger and who I needed to contact to investigate the issue. This concluded with the charger manufacturer agreeing to process a warranty claim and provide me with a new charger. Energize Electrical were very accommodating in booking me in to remove my old charger so I could send it back and equally accommodating when the new charger arrived. Campbell and Jordan were conscientious and made the cable safe after removing the old charger and quickly reinstalled the new charger helping me set it up and connect it with the app.

I find the processes Energize Electrical have in place for their customer care absolutely first rate, their booking in system is excellent and the appointment goes straight into my calendar. I also find their appointment reminder messages really helpful and the follow up communication to check work is done to my satisfaction is another measure that proves they look after their customers well.

Energise initially came to undertake an EICR on my new home. As part of this report, Neil advised that the age and state of the fuse board was the source of some potential issues. We discussed at length the pros and cons of undertaking remedial work, and I had time to get other quotes and discuss with other contractors. I was happy to accept the quote from Energise.

Required a broken dimmer switch in a vulnerable adults home to be dealt with at short notice. Energize Electrical very kindly organised for an electrician to visit within two hours and complete the job.

Required some electrical sockets replaced like for like and an extractor fan replaced.
Very quick response to initial enquiry and communication with Neil very good throughout. Job was assessed one day later with quote provided later in the day. Work started the following day. The fan wasn't straightforward as there were issues with how the original fan had been unstalled and work was required to reposition a duct with resultant gaps requiring filling. This delayed the project by a few days but Cameron returned a few days later to complete the task.
No reference point in respect of value for money as we required work done quickly and didn't seek any alternative quote. However was satisfied with and happy to pay the sum quoted.

Replacing security lights, upgrading old electrics
Very good service from start to finish. Ross and Jordan were efficient and took time to explain what they were doing. Mine was a “ bitty” job covering several small things to be done but they took it all in their stride. Even tackling a large wisteria with entwined cable to get security light replaced.

Ross and Jordan did a great job with the emergency light test in our building. They have done a couple of jobs for us now and happy with the service Energize provide.

I'm requesting Cambpell every time! I've had a slew of contractors (literally 15) in and out over the last 3 days since getting the keys to my new flat. Campbell is by far my favourite. He was professional, explained my options for running power to my shed including the pros and cons of those options. I asked clarifying questions, he answered them. I never felt like he was talking down to me. When he left, I knew exactly what to expect (two quotes for the options we discussed). Also, Neil has been really wonderful. I'm moving house from England, first time purchasing in the UK. Neil has explained everything I need to check from the electrical side of things. I called Neil yesterday asking for a quote about running electric to my shed. I told him it was important and I wanted to get started quite quickly on it. When I informed Neil that I would be leaving the next day for two weeks, he called back to say someone would come at 8am before I left! Absolutely amazing. EICR test was done. Contacted Energize Electricals through recommendation by family member who had used them to install an EV charger. My issue was electrics tripping occasionally in my flat. Communications with Neil was great, he phoned, listened to my problems, and highly recommended getting an EICR done prior to upgrading my very old consumer unit. To-day Ross and Jordan carried out the EICR – all completed in an efficient and professional manner. Ross explained clearly what work needs to be done. Very happy with the job today from Energize Electrical. They fitted an outside socket which I'll use to charge my EV. Talked through options and decided that's ideal for my limited mileage and convenient for cutting the grass / christmas lights etc. But they fitted a high rated cable with extra length in case I change my mind in the future.

The team at Energize installed an EV Charger in our garage with minimum fuss and great efficiency. They were polite and helpful throughout, left no mess and carried out a very tidy job. In fact the Charger has been fitted so well that it looks like it has been part of our garage for years. I will definitely use them again and recommend them for similar work.

We needed an EICR inspection done on a large flat in Edinburgh at short notice. Neil was able to fit us in the same week, which was much appreciated.

The booking procedure is automated and felt v slick, with automated confirmation & reminders - and a phone call from Neil to confirm that Campbell was on his way.

Campbell did the inspection, appeared thorough and was very friendly. He happily explained a couple of technical issues in an understandable way for a layman.

All in all, v straightforward to use, no hassle, and a good job. Couldn't ask for more.

Ross came to try and find a fault we were having with our electrics, our RCD switch was tripping and we were unable to ascertain what was causing this. Ross and his colleague thoroughly checked our circuits and sockets to try and find the fault.

Energize were brilliant. I had been let down by a previous contractor on a renovation project and was in urgent need of rewiring. Campbell, Ross and Jordan all provided a first class service in getting the project finished on time and to a high standard. They were always on time, great to deal with and the quality of their workmanship evident in the finished product - a completely rewired flat. They were very accommodating in fitting the job in as soon as feasible which was hugely appreciated, as well as being able to leave them with keys to just get on with the job. It is worth adding that they price competitively for the high quality service which is always very welcome for any customer.

Energize fitted an EV home charger for me, they were fantastic and very attentive from start to finish. They carried out everything I asked for, I would highly recommend them to others and will be using them again.

I called up Energize Electrical because a small-scale electrical repair was needed in my bathroom. They were really proactive in getting me a slot as soon as possible (which turned out to be the next morning) and every step of the way they were helpful and utterly professional.

Neil and his team were excellent. We had an issue with a beeping battery but were out of town. Neil called me immediately and was able to pick up keys from elsewhere in Edinburgh and solve the issue. I then hired them to replace the old smoke alarms and remove a burglar alarm which was really old. Neil was responsive throughout, going into all the details of how the job will be completed and kept me up to date at every step. Would use again and would highly recommend.

Energize installed a Simpson electric vehicle charger for me. The whole process was very efficient and effortless and I particularly appreciated their responsiveness to my enquiry and subsequent speed of producing a quote and carrying out the work. I think the price was fair considering the work done.

The people involved were very helpful and demonstrated a “can do” attitude that is not often found in tradespeople, particularly electricians who often seem more interested in criticising your existing installation than suggesting ways to resolve problems. In this case, the cable routing was done entirely in line with my preference and is very unobtrusive.

Energize Electrical fitted a kitchen extraction system for me which included ducting through a garage and outside. They were very professional from the outset and communication was clear and speedy. I have dealt with many trades over the years but this was a revelation in terms of efficiency and customer service. I can't fault them and highly recommend.

We had a water damaged ceiling in a utility room which we thought was caused by the MEV extraction unit. Campbell arranged for the joiner Bryan and his team to cut out a portion of the ceiling to assess where water damage was coming from. Bryan did a brilliant job,very clean and tidy opening the ceiling. It turned out the damage was coming from a different source which had now dried. Campbell asked if we still wanted to replace the noisy MEV unit as it was not causing the issue. We advised we wanted it replaced and Campbell sourced and fitted a new unit. It was a very tricky job as the space between the joists was very limited but the new unit was fitted and works perfectly(so quiet we do not know it is on.) Bryan and Bob then returned and fitted a new removable opening with which we are delighted. Overall great communication between the client, the electrician and the joiner and you are left with a very happy customer.

Neil and his team came to my attention from Tesla website when I was seeking professional electricians to install a Tesla home charger. From the start until installation, Neil and his team were very good in every aspect of communication, reliability and they Wu confidence inspiring with their knowledge and experience. I did not feel pressured at any time, and they went out of their way to return to my home again with an extra trip for them, just so I can repeat our initial discussion about the options again.
