Contacted Energize Electrical for a quote to install a EV charger at home, after finding them listed as approved installers on both Home Energy Scotland and Tesla website. Neil responded very promptly to discuss the process (which includes making several checks ready for DNO notification) and Campbell popped out that evening to survey the job. The quote was in line with my expectations, and with a recommendation from a friend, I confirmed the job.
The job was scheduled and then pulled in slightly ahead of time, the team arrived early on the day after confirming via phone, and the job went really smoothly with full discussion on placement and routing of cables and minimal outage of the power supply.
Overall highly impressed from initial communication to final invoicing, and will be sure to use Energize Electrical again for any future electrical needs.

Neil was superb to deal with from start to finish and gave us really good advice regarding our choice of EV charger.
He kept us fully up to date with timings etc.
Campbell and Jordan were also great to deal with when they fitted the charger and were keen to cause as little disruption as possible. They also accommodated two smaller jobs which was much appreciated.
Once the work was completed, Neil got in touch to ensure we were fully happy.
Overall this has been an excellent experience and would fully recommend.

I've used Energize for a couple of years now and they continue to be excellent. The communication from Neil is superb and Campbell and team are great to deal with and do a super job. Most recently, they added and moved three double sockets ahead of some redecoration work - they were polite, informative and did a very professional job. Highly recommend.

I asked Energize to install an EV charger after I was messed around by another company. Neil and his team were brilliant from the initial phone call until they packed their tools away after conducting a very professional job.
I found the cost to be very reasonable, especially as they went out of their way to do a very neat installation. I'd recommend Energize to anybody and I won't be using anybody else in future.

Replacement of old charging unit. Pre installation well coordinated and kept informed. Installation carried out efficiently and tested. However the car was not there at the time and on first charging the unit kept on tripping.
Energize came back out without hesitation and rechecked everything. Nothing wrong with the installation, the problem was subsequently found to be a fault with the cars on board charger.
Despite this Energize did not complain - or try to charge for this extra time - which was much appreciated

After decorating the new house I noticed a few bodge jobs so called out Engergise to sort it. They conducted a EICR and then completed the remedial works at a later date.
Work was completed to a high standard, but accidently when installing the consumer unit drilled too far and damaged the carpet.
Energise were very applogitic and paid for the install of a new carpet.
You can tell the quality and integrity of a tradesman in what they do when things go wrong. Would highly recommend!

From the first very prompt call from Neil after we submitted an online query, our experience with Energize Electrical has been excellent. Despite an initial deadline approaching Christmas, the work was carefully planned, clearly quoted and booked in. When other problems arose the team was responsive and flexible. Campbell took time and care to route a new cable with the minimum of disruption and the work was completed efficiently and tidily. If we need further electrical work we would certainly use Energize Electrical again.

Mum and I would confidently recommend and use Energise again.

This time they installed some PIR floodlights on the house, put up two heavy feature light fittings, and replaced an outdoor socket.
The work was completed in one visit by Campbell and a colleague, and was done to an excellent standard. They readily accommodated a last minute decision by my wife to swap the light fixtures between rooms due to one ceilings being unsuitable for one of the fittings, and their attention to detail was high - for example they used a laser spirit level to ensure the light fittings (one of which had 3 separate hanging shades) were all perfectly aligned.
They also vacuumed and wiped down the areas they had worked in afterwards, after taking me through each of the pieces of work they had done and checking I was ok with the results.
Neil followed up the next day to check everything was done to my satisfaction, which was also appreciated and concluded what was very good communication throughout the process.
I won’t hesitate to use Energize Electrical in future.

Had Campbell in for some work. Came in to fit some sockets, spot lights and remove some sockets and I couldn’t recommend him more. Answered any questions I had and done everything perfectly had not one problem and was very reliable when texting and phoning him. If you need an electrician I would highly recommend him.

We needed an upgraded electrical supply plus fitting for a new cooker and were delighted that our first choice, Energize Electrical, were able to fit us in during the very busy run up to Christmas. We also needed to replace a failed bathroom extractor fan. Campbell visited us in advance to check our current set up and to discuss our options. As before Neil's excellent communication then kept us fully up to date. The work was again done efficiently, politely and professionally on the day they promised. An all round excellent service.

Second time used these guys. This occasion was to install kitchen appliances. Having capped the gas, the induction hob needed a new circuit which they laid under the dinning room, through the lounge and across the hallway. All this was to avoid taking up some of our laminate flooring. They worked methodically and took their time to ensure a satisfactory outcome. The oven that John Lewis were unable to install because of the location of the gas pipe was also installed with little notice. To perform this extra job at such short notice and so close to Christmas was greatly appreciated. It reflects their commitment to great customer service and is why they are my ‘go-to’ company for anything electrical. I highly recommend them.

Have recently had a few jobs completed by Campbell and the team. They were professional, punctual, patient and considerate. They kindly answered any questions we had, and Campbell even returned to complete additional work (that came to light in a safety inspection) on a Friday (his day off) so as not to keep us waiting!
Arranging the work was easy as Neil is very quick to respond. He was especially kind to fit in the work at short notice as it was time dependant and he worked around our tight schedule.

I recently moved into a property and contacted Energize Electrical to help. The property required a surge protection isolator, hardwired smoke and heat alarms, repair lighting circuit with a poor earth connection and repair water and gas bonding supplies not earthed. I had an electrical survey carried out ahead of a flat purchase. This was extremely helpful to inform me of the condition of the flat to reduce unwanted surprises. Later on I had Energize Electrical fit a new distribution board and smoke alarms. Neil's communication was super throughout, and the work was done to a high standard with no mess.

On the day of the EICR Campbell and Jordan were fantastic. They showed up promptly and again communicated everything in a way easily understood. When it became clear that we’d need more extensive work done (a full rewiring) Neil phoned me not 10 minutes after Campbell and Jordan left to help coordinate next steps. Although they didn’t have the availability to do a rewiring until the new year, Neil not only recommended some other providers to us, but got in contact with one and urged them to give us a call so we could get it sorted as soon as possible.
We couldn’t have asked for a better service from Energize Electrical and will absolutely be keeping them in mind for any future electrical jobs.

Having now been settled in our new flat with many different types of workers coming and going, I can confidently say that Energize Electrical is a gold standard in Edinburgh.
They are communicative, polite and professional, exceptionally clean, helpful with advice and flagging of concerns/potential issues/risks to the quality of work, and overall genuinely help the customer along the way.

We had an old and faulty halogen downlighting system in our kitchen that we inherited from the previous owner. Energize bought it up to standard with new LED lighting, using variable light adjusting bulbs and bezels that made it a very professional job and us, very happy customers. Will certainly be using Energize again and they'll be going in the book as our Edinburgh local electricians to go to.

I Contacted Energise to review our fuse box and electrics and was booked in for the following week. Campbell and Jordan arrived promptly within 5 mins of arrival time. Campbell took time to outline the process and access needed. They both worked quickly and effectively with minimal disruption. Checking everything. They removed obsolete wiring, marked clearly every cable in the fuse box for easy identification and checked all sockets were in working order. Finally the gave us a full verbal report and recommendation on further work for us to consider. Finally they cleared up and left the house as they found it. They will be my first port of call for any further electrical work needed and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Installation of power points for new electric heaters, replacing our defunct gas central heating system. New dedicated radial circuit, new sockets and spur switches. Replace existing consumer unit with larger capacity, full RCD and surge protection. Campbell and Jordan were a pleasure to have working in our home. The lads turned up on time, wearing their smart, custom-branded workwear. They were polite, helpful, hard-working and very obliging with both advice, and odd jobs not included in the original quote! I was very impressed with how promptly Neil at Energize Electrical responded so promptly to our initial enquiry, and all the communication thereafter. In summary, from our earliest dealings, through to completion of the work at our home, Energize Electrical were a pleasure to deal with. Professional, efficient, obliging, and super neat and tidy - we were very impressed and goes without saying, happy with their work! That's why we have no hesitation in recommending them highly. We have had a number of jobs recently completed by Energize - sockets in the attic, an outdoor socket, extractor fan install. Campbell and Jordan were great - always on time, friendly, helpful, very tidy and good at explaining what was being done - we also found the costs to be very reasonable. Neil was great on the admin side and making sure we were happy with the work and it was arranged at a time that suited us- a great company to deal with and one we will definitely be using again.

Energize Electrical replaced the elements in my electric hot water tank. It's a relatively small job that could have been difficult to find a reliable company to quote for or do. From the first time I contacted them, the communication was great, they responded quickly with a quote and managed to fit the job in at short notice at a time that suited me. We had old electrical storage heaters replaced with new efficient wall mounted heaters. The whole process was fast, efficient and friendly from initial contact with the firm, through quotation and installation. The firm helped to provide heaters which covered the original footprint of the old heaters thus eliminating the necessity to redecorate. Following installation the firm ensured we were happy.

I had previously been told by another electrician that the supply would have to be routed through my loft however Energize Electrical found a solution and at a much cheaper cost than I had been quoted elsewhere. The service provided was excellent - they were punctual, tidy and kept me informed throughout. Following installation I had them return to fit an outside socket. Cambel and Jordan did a great job getting our newly purchased flat up to EICR standard. Nice lads, provided thorough checks and showed their work afterwards, and hoovered up any mess created from wires lifted/drilling etc in the flat. Only downfall was due to the work done by previous home owners which meant our front light couldn't be sorted in the same appointment, so now it doesn't switch on. Helpfully though, they stayed to do a walk-through of the flat for future work that we might do down the line and I'm confident in obtaining a quote that covers what's needed. Great communication with Energize Electrical too, including reminder texts and emails and follow-up call from Neil once the work was done to check in.

Energize Electrical recently installed some outdoor string lights along some fences in my garden. The service was excellent from start to finish. On contacting them by email, I received an acknowledgement email followed the same day by a telephone call from Neil to discuss my requirements. An appointment was made just a few days later for one of the team, Ross, to visit, access the job and provide an estimate. The lights were duly installed, again within a short time, and with full input from me during the installation about placement etc. Unfortunately some time later there was a slight issue with the bulbs within the set, a manufacturing issue, but that was sorted out promptly, professionally and efficiently. On every visit, I was given a day and time when the engineer would arrive. Ross who installed the lights was very professional and impressive. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Energize Electrical and will certainly use them again for any further electrical work.

Exceptional work and timely completion. The team arrived on the agreed day and finished within the estimated timeframe. After completing the work, they ensured everything was put back in place and thoroughly cleaned the area. There was no indication that any work had been done on the property. It's worth mentioning that I work from home, and there was no interruption to my calls or workload. The team understood and accommodated the needs of remote work by isolating only the necessary circuits and keeping the noise to a minimum. We had a succession of lighting problems and had lost confidence in our house electrical system. Energize took the time both to listen to our issues and to explain a way forward. Energize quickly provided a very acceptable quote and kept us well informed throughout the whole process. Our engineer arrived on time, explained what he would be doing and carried out the work in a polite, professional and efficient way, identifying and fixing the underlying problem. Even before the survey was initiated and paid for, we felt supported in understanding how this type of work is done and felt like we could anticipate the next steps in the convoluted process of purchasing a flat. Amazing service. Energize electrical were recommended to me after I struggled to find an electrician who would take on installing a new plug socket and fitting some outside lights. Telephoned Neil who had a really friendly approachable manner on the phone and guided me through a very simple online booking process. Speedy communication. Met Campbell the next day to quote for the work who gave great advice. The lads who came round to do the work today were very professional and tidy, working around our eaves storage space and rather chaotic family life very accommodatingly. They explained everything clearly. Neil telephoned again promptly after the work was completed to ensure everything had been done to a standard we were happy with. The electrician came a few weeks ago to replace my kitchen light and whilst he was here, he noticed that the circuit breaker was overrated for the circuit and would not operate in the event of an overload and so it needed to be replaced.

I decided to buy a new electric car in late November 2023 and was expecting to get it by the end of the year. Having looked for installers of home chargers I was assured by the number of reviews for Energize Electrical as well as how happy customers were with the service. After contact and filling in the simple forms to give essential information a member of the team came and surveyed the site, all was fairly simple as it is a new house but some extras were needed in any case. I had already looked at chargers and was attracted by the Simpson and Partners Home 7 Plus as it has solar integration and in addition is fairly small as well as very smart looking. I discussed options with Neil from Energize Electrical who himself suggested the same charger so I was happy to go with that. I agreed to let Neil know as soon as I had a delivery date for the car. Unfortunately this slipped till early March but as soon as I contacted him he arranged for the charger to be installed in good time. The work was carried out in a fully professional manner with the fitters happy to explain any options in terms of siting things. Both the fitters and the initial surveyor arrived in good time as arranged.
There was a small glitch in connecting the charger to WiFi after the fitters left (not their fault at all, we had checked the bluetooth connection). Neil called me soon after the work was completed and on my telling him about the glitch he texted me the Simpson and Partners helpline number. They answered very quickly and after some time we sorted the problem, it seems that the charger was in some peculiar state but after two or three resets it worked fine and has continued to do so. I mentioned to Neil that the person I spoke to at Simpson and Partners was fairly new there and was unable to answer a query about the solar panel aspects. Neil sent an email to Simpson and Partners asking them to phone me in due course and has followed matters up.
To sum up the quality of the work, advice and service from Energize Electrical is excellent and well worth the cost.

Campbell repaired a faulty light switch and replaced a 4 ft LED batten in my utility room. He was exceptionally courteous, helpful and efficient and took the time to explain exactly what the issue was with the faulty lighting. I was also very impressed by the fact that he removed his outdoor shoes on entering the house. Very satisfied with my Ohme ePod EV charger installation by Energize. Neil was extremely prompt and organised with the admin and logistics from start to finish, and gave really helpful advice on choice of charger and eligibility for an OZEV grant. The survey was also done promptly and installation happened within my timescale while others were quoting several months of lead time. The cable routing was done discretely, despite it being an older building, and they also installed a three-pin outdoor socket at the same time, which will come in very handy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Energize and would use them again going forward for any domestic electrical jobs.

We needed some ceiling lights moved, a new ceiling light added, and a new socket in our hallway. Our timescales were quite tight, but Energize did their best to accommodate us so that it would tie in with our plasterer. This was much appreciated. Ross was allocated our job and he arrived when he said he would and carried out the job to a high standard. From the initial chat with Neil, to Campbell coming round to assess the job, then Ross completing the job, Energize Electrical were a pleasure to deal with. Very professional, good communications, efficient, and left the house as they found it. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely choose them for all future works.

We had an EICR performed on a large 1930s flat, and the electrician from Energize arrived promptly, was very professional, and gave us a fair assessment of the overall condition of the electrics when he finished the job. A written report with a very reasonable estimate to undertake necessary repairs was provided in a timely way. Will be having Energize back out to quote for additional upgrades as well as the repairs recommended on the EICR.

We had Energize Electrical install a series of recessed downlights in our hallway. We were very happy with the work they did and will have them back to do further work we have planned in the future.
After contacting them via Trusted Trader, they were quick to arrange a visit, stressing that they don't provide quotes without one (something that none of the others we contacted did). I felt assured after the visit that they knew exactly what was involved in the job.
After discussing the job, they sent me several quotes for different options, clearly explaining what was involved in each. Their pricing was fair and, unlike other quotes we received, included minor decorative repair work.
On the day, they arrived on time and discussed the work with us before proceeding. They carried out the job quickly and professionally, taking additional steps to minimise the visibility of the work. We were happy with the repair work that was done, and they cleaned properly after the job.
