Edinburgh Stonemasons Ltd

Stewart and his team were tasked to remove the old concrete pointing on the rear and gable walls of my listed property and re-point using lime mortar. I am absolutely delighted with the finished work. They were hard working, professional, knowledgeable and friendly such that it was a pleasure having them. Their workmanship is of an incredibly high standard and they clearly don't cut corners. Even over weekends they would turn up to wet down the stone rather than risk the mortar drying too quickly. Each evening they made sure all areas were cleaned and tidied up. Another unexpected but nice touch was the inclusion of a window cleaner at the end.
If you are looking for skilled, professional masons then I can wholeheartedly recommend Edinburgh Stonemason Ltd.

I have worked with ESM Ltd on numerous occasions and found them to have a wealth of knowledge regarding stone & external fabric repairs. The director Stewart is friendly, easy to deal with, honest and reliable. Both Stewart and his operatives leave a high standard of finish and are experienced in traditional lime mortar repairs.

Edinburgh Stonemasons were a pleasure to work with. Punctual, courteous and reliable. A very thorough and detailed breakdown of the works to be carried out was provided. The rebuild of an old Victorian chimney was a demanding and skilled job and the finished work is of a very high standard. Thank you Stewart and Co.

Stewart and his team rebuilt part of a damaged garden wall for us.
Good service - listened to what we wanted, advised on options, and sent us a detailed estimate. Communication was good, the work was carried out efficiently and the area tidied up afterwards.
